The best sunscreen I’ve found so far. It’s liquid enough to spread and blend easily. It doesn’t irritate my skin. It doesn’t have that bitter chemical sunscreen odor. I wish the bottles were bigger but the size makes it convenient to keep one in my purse or desk.

I used to like this product but its verry greasy… it turns me off. Would not recommend it for combination to oily skin. Too greasy.

I can’t do chemical sunscreens — I can pick up the dread chemical smell on a person five feet away. I’m oily, sensitive, and prone to rosacea and clogged pores. I have engaged in a long search for a mineral sunscreen that doesn’t cause breakouts or have texture problems. (I’m fairly pale, so the white cast is less of an issue for me.) So far I’ve been happiest with powders, like Colorescience. But I’m aware that it’s hard to apply enough of a powder to get the advertised SPF protection, so I’ve kept looking.
I was thinking of trying City Block Sheer again, and that’s what led me to the very helpful reviews of this. I love the fluid texture, and the way it dries kind of matte and feels like nothing. Seriously, nothing. (I always thought City Block made me feel hot and sweaty.) I use Alima Pure mineral powder and it goes on beautifully over this sunscreen. I do get oily and have to blot later in the day, but that’s normal for me.
One happy surprise about this sunscreen is that I can use it on my neck without feeling greasy and disgusting.
UPDATE: Alas, time to admit (again) that, no matter how nice the texture, products with silicone make my face break out. I can use this around my eyes and it’s very nice. I can use it on my neck. But if I use it anywhere that I’m prone to clogged pores, in a few days I’m going to have clogged pores. Sad, because this is my favorite liquid sunscreen ever.

I decided to buy this since it was on a limited time 50% promo sale, after reading reviews and watching videos about many different mineral sunscreens. My face is oily, sensitive, reactive, prone to breakouts and I have mild rosacea.
What I mostly like about this product is the light, watery texture and the packaging. Upon application it looks a little white and slightly greasy on the face but it quickly dries to an almost mat and natural finish. I wore it alone for a day and then today under my makeup. It performed well both days and I have not noticed any breakouts, which is really rare for me.
It worked excellently as a base and helped my makeup apply smoothly and evenly. I didn’t even have to set with powder (my foundation is reaaaaaly mat, though). After eight hours of wear where I walked for a while in the early summer heat and sweated a bit it still looked very nice and dry, I did not have to blot at all and my makeup still looked fresh. I have to say that I have also sampled the spf 50 but that seemed a little thicker in consistency and thus more likely to clog my pores.

This is very much like the Pep Start SPF but without the tint. I was worried it would be white cast in extreme but it is easily rubbed in and the white cast disappears. It goes on with quite a bit of slip but then dries to a nice matte which is comfortable on my slightly combination skin. I hate heavy sunscreens so this suits my tastes. It is light silky fluid, very benign and has not bothered my sensitive rosacea skin. It is rather pricey considering you only get 1 ounce but I really like how this absorbs with no white cast and how it is calming. No scent. I would buy this again.

I’m on my second bottle of this and it has it flaws, but those largely are the price of its successes. I use this out of necessity. If it were up to me, I’d slap on some Cetaphil after I got out of the shower and be done. But it isn’t up to me–my skin has decided to have a nervous breakdown. It’s dry, allergic, hyperpigmented and super-sensitive, so I use a hypoallergenic day cream (from Avene) and then this mineral sunscreen fluid over the top. The issue is the eternal, pervasive problem of mineral sunscreens, which is the white cast. This fluid does have that white cast, though it’s within bounds (at least on my pale skin and under my makeup). It actually has a paling effect on any redness I’m dealing with and the whiteness lessens considerably if you massage it in for a moment. Also, it doesn’t sting or break me out like many sunscreens do, even those marketed to sensitive skin.
This has a slippery quality to it and my skin is dry enough that it can accommodate and even appreciate the overly-moist qualities of this sunscreen. But I think that does rule this product out for anyone with oily or maybe even combination skin. My skin is quite shiny and luminous for a while before everything starts to settle in. (I like dewy; I’m not upset by the look.) It doesn’t accentuate flaws for dry skin, though, nor does it sit on top of it. Overall, this is a useful, necessary product for me and I’m very grateful to have it around.
You don’t get very much per bottle (you buy it an ounce at a time) and each usually lasts me about a month, but the packaging also doesn’t allow for too much in the way of spills or wasteful pumps.
