   This is my favorite chemical sunscreen for body! I’m planning to order more and stock up once the weather here cools down a bit. The texture is lovely and it feels like nothing on your skin plus I’ve never gotten any hint of sun exposure when wearing it. I’ve tried it once or twice on my face but as it does contain alcohol probably isn’t something I’d want to use daily on my face. That said, it’s never irritated or dried out the skin on my body despite my being dermatitis prone and it removes easily with just my body wash and washcloth. Also, it has no discernible scent so is very pleasant to use. I have the larger bottle with the pump dispenser and if you keep the little removable plastic piece you can travel with this or throw it into any tote or beach bag without worries that it will leak or spill. It’s such a clever design! The only unknown on this that remains for me is whether or not the chemical filters would stain my white shirts. I always use a purely physical, un-tinted sunscreen when wearing white because I don’t want to ruin my shirts. Would love to use this always so please let me know if you’re reading this and have tried it with whites.

   Really wanted to love this sunscreen but it’s giving me pimples on the central part of my face and huge cysts at the hairline. It looks and feels like a light formulation but my skin hates it.

   If you are acne prone, beware.

   This is a gorgeous and cosmetically elegant sunscreen made much better by the generously-sized pump bottle and its affordability, which means you’re actually incentivised to use as much as you need, instead of skimping on application like you would with an expensive sunscreen. It’s much better than anything from Biore, because it’s formulated without any irritating essential oils, citrus extracts, fragrances, etc (Biore Watery Essence, I’m looking at you…)

   It has a no-nonsense, simple formula, containing alcohol, chemical filters (Octinoxate, Uvinul A Plus, Tinosorb S, Uvinul T 150), and hydrating and skin-friendly ingredients (two types of hyaluronic acid, hydrolysed collagen, and arginine, which is an amino acid), and a few other things like water and film-formers.

   That’s all there is to it. It has no discernible scent (other than that of the alcohol, which evaporates quickly), is moisturising, spreads beautifully, and leaves a nice satiny finish on my skin. The 140g pump is great for use at home and the 110g bottle (which is still a generous size) is good for carrying around for reapplication.

   the one I have is for SPF 35, not SPF 50

   I like Asian sunscreens, there is just something about the formulas that they get right, and no it’s not BC I’m Asian also.

   American sunscreens always leave me feeling very greasy and I have somewhat dry skin sometimes.

   this sunscreen, has a high alcohol content, so you need to prep your skin very well prior to applying this.

   although it has so much alcohol, it doesn’t feel drying either.

   I’m always trying out new products, even though I find something I like, I can use it for a few months and then I get bored and have to find something new.

   this is quite affordable which is also something I really look for BC sunscreen is a must do every single day and to always use something from Sephora really hurts my wallet.

   the one I have is SPF 35 and 110g product which is around 3.8 fluid oz for around $15 usd

   This is the first Asian sunscreen that I’ve ever used and I’m impressed. I have been using European sunscreens with high PPD for at least 15 years including Bioderma (my favourite brand), Avene and Vichy. I have very fair north European skin that never tans just burns, blue eyes and naturally light reddish blonde hair. I’m 44 and I don’t have much visible skin aging due to many years of using good sun protection. I have fairly sensitive skin that is normal most of the year but slightly dry in winter when the heating is on. I was using Vichy Aqualia SPF 15 in winter as it was also a moisturiser but it’s been discontinued. I decided to try this as a more moisturising sunscreen for the winter months here in Northern England.

   It smelt strongly of alcohol when I first used it but it doesn’t seem to irritate my skin. It doesn’t leave a white cast or cause much shine on the skin. I apply it to clean dry skin and after 20 mins or so I put my make-up on. I don’t use foundation, just concealer and MAC Blot powder. My skin is quite good so I don’t need much camouflage.

   I find this the most cosmetically elegant sunscreen I’ve ever used. I’m really pleased with it and will buy it again.

   I have no idea what the ingredients are as the packaging is in Japanese (I think?). I would prefer to still use my favourite Bioderma sunscreens in the warmer months as I feel more protected with Tinosorbs but this will certainly be enough for me in the months when it’s cold and quite dark a lot of the time. It has PA ++++ which is apparently very high uva protection so that seems good enough for me.

   My skin: NC35-40. Combo-oily, sensitive (among others, my skin takes the habit of breaking out in hives when it doesn’t like something I eat or put on my skin), SD/PD-prone. OSPW. Fitzpatrick IV. Freckles and PIH from hives.

   I have been using this only for daily incidental exposure which is about 15-minutes drive to the office from home. But, we live in Malta, almost the southernmost EU Member State (yes, it’s a country) where they have intense sun and very mild winter (I was feeling hot in my thin sweater top TODAY). Also, since SO and I are expats (and never meant to stay for long), we got a crappy car with non-working AC and definitely no filmed window, so windows are rolled down almost everytime it’s driven.

   I have previously noticed that the number of freckles I have is evergrowing, especially on the left side since I sit in the co-pilot seat where the sun always hits on the way to and back from the office (the latter in summer). After I finished 1 bottle of the biggest size (140g) for daily use in the summer heat, I have noticed that:

   1. I barely got any color on my face and neck as they became paler than my body; and
   2. I did notice that I had no new freckle since using it (the ones popped out last are fading, tho I would give more credit to the real actives in my routine rather than this ss).

   This ss is fragrance-free, doesn’t irritate, super lightweight and has ZERO whitecast. It does not give much additional moisture, nor that it noticeably dries my skin out. I have to say that it dries slightly shiny on my skin (especially over moisturizer, but otherwise really into nothingness), but a dusting of powder is enough to fix it. I actually think it works great as a primer. I find my makeup looking better and lasting longer over this. Also, the “shine” kinda works like some sort of an illuminator for the skin as it stops foundation and powder from looking too matte.

   I’m on my 2nd bottle and I always get the 140g since it’s in pump bottle. I use 1.5 pumps each for face and neck. The price point is excellent considering that you can’t skimp on wearing sunscreen (measure properly, please!), even at marked-up price due to shipping from Japan.
