This is too rich for oily skin. I picked it up because it said its for all skin types, but I would only wear this in cold, dry weather. I live in the tropics. It’s humid, it’s hot, this is too much. That said if you only use a little it works fine, and has some sweat/oil control properties thanks to aluminium starch I think (lost the box); but I bought it to use as sunscreen not moisturizer, so I have to apply it liberally. I’ve had this problem with all the European and UK made susncreens I have tried. They are just too rich and emollient.
For comparison, this is less rich/emollient/greasy than say the Clinique Solar smart body Cream but about the same as Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair SPF 30. The Neutrogena one breaks me out too, it’s too rich fyi.
This has fragrance (I took a lippie off for that) but it’s not overpowering. That can’t be said for the rest of the YourGoodSkin line. I got the acne treatment with 1% bha and their serum as well, and both of those are unnaceptably perfumed. They smell straight up like Cologne. It irritates my skin like crazy; I don’t understand why they bother putting nice ingredients like licorice and green tea in them to then ruin it all by dumping massive amounts of perfume. I feel bad when I even use them on my legs/chest in the attempt to use them up, I just feel bad for the wasted money.
I think this sunscreen would be great for people with normal to dry skin though. But not for people with compromised skin that is post-op or has eczema or things like this because it’s not fragrance free.
Overall I’m dissapointed with this new brand in walgreens, but from their products I’ve tried, this is the best, and only usable one.
