I was gifted this eye cream and I would never buy it myself. For one thing, it is far too expensive for the amount you get and for the ingredient list. I prefer simpler, unscented gels for my under eye area. The scent of this is unbelievably strong, almost like a solid perfume. Luckily, it hasn’t caused milia so far, but it seems pretty rich, so I am keeping a close eye on it as I continue to use it. I will probably switch to using it as a moisturizer for my chest, at the first sign of discomfort around my eyes. I would not purchase it because I think it is more than a little gimmicky, unreasonably expensive, and potentially irritating due to the strong fragrance.

I’ve been using a tester of this for the last 4 days – I really wanted to love it as I love Aesop products but the product doesn’t live up to its expectations for me. I need a moisturizing eye cream for my 40 something eyes – yet the skin around my eyes feel quite tight & “sticky” after application of this. Also at £59 for 10ml the price is extortionate for the amount in the pot 🙁

Firstly, I get shocked by the scent during my first application. It is a way too strong but anyhow I just apply on my eye area, it doesn’t bother me much. Secondly, the good thing about this is they tend to be absorb quickly on my dry skin. Fastest among all eye cream I’ve use before, i.e. EL Brightening Eye creme, Lancome, Laneige, etc. Last but not least, my concealers get cakey and set into my finelines even though I just apply this on before my makeup. I’ll still prefer EL ANR Eye Serum which is in gel based, it provides better moisturizing properties to my dry eye areas compare to this eye creme.

This eye cream smells like a dream and spreads wonderfully, melting into my skin without a trace. It leaves my dry undereye area sufficiently moisturized without causing any frustrating bumps that many other creams cause. I use it day and night and it’s good enough for me – someone with dry skin especially around the eyes.
However it is expensive with takes away a little from the blissfulness of the product. I guess they’re hoping that a sniff of that wonderful fragrance will take the sting away.

Ive been using this product for a while now and all i can say is that it does its job well. Its good both as a whole face moisturizer and an eye cream. But i only use it as a whole face moisturizer as a night cream occasionally though, since is really rich.

Nearly finish one jar of this cream and would love to repurchase.
Have used lots of different brands eye cream including EL ANR eye cream, Kielh’s Avocado and La mer eye concentrate etc, this is the best by far for my slightly puffy and dark circled eyes. Dark circle has been reduced a little after 3 years of fighting for it. It absorbs really well no matter how much I smoothed on with a nice plant smell. One eye’s puffiness has disappeared already. No lines yet can be found, so I guess the cream maintains a good job for its anti-oxidant function.
The one lippy missing due to its price of £39 for a little jar of 10ml.

Love this eye cream. It is deeply, deeply hydrating and goes on very smoothly. I haven’t experienced a grainy texture at all. I apply it morning and night and really do feel that it gives my eye area extra moisture (and will hopefully therefore assist in staving of wrinkles as much as possible). The smell is botanical, but is not too strong. I will definitely re-purchase this.

I love Aesop but this eye cream had a really weird grainy texture. The grains either have to be wiped away or smeared into the skin. Very annoying. As far as benefits I have not been able to detect much other than it is nice and moisturizing but not better than Zia’s ultimate eye.

NT$2,550(US$72.27) at Taiwan. Very very nice eye cream. I use this only at night. It’s very moisturizing, yet penetrates quickly into skin. My dark circles appeared to be a bit lighter after one month of use. I love the herbal smell, it’s very calming after one tiring day. But the price is just insane…I will probably go back to kiehl’s avocado eye cream after finishing this jar.

On Me: Been using a sample for about a week. So far no milia even though one of the ingrediants is shea butter, no stinging or itching. i do notice lightening of my dark eye circles & its not as dry as it used to be. works very well with my concealer & if i find that during the day my eyes feel tight, i just pat some more cream on top of the concealer. there is a lighter version of the eye cream – an eye serum which the sa recommended for tropical countries & summer. Only things i dont like it the packaging – comes in a brown screw top glass which means i am screwed (pardon the pun) if i drop it on the floor (high possibility since i am blind like a bat!) & you gotta stick your fingers into the jar (might depot into a smaller jar & keep the rest in the fridge to extend the shelf life) this product has a shelf life of 9 months i think but the sa assures me that the jar would last me through winter – 3months & then i should switch to the serum. oh others might not like the strong lavendar smell.
Differences between the cream & serum: Between this & the cream, my concealer blends better with the cream. Perphas its the serum’s texture. I believe the serum might be better on sensitive skin or is much gentler than the cream. For the cream you get a strogner smlle of lavender while the serum you get the chamomile smell (which might put some people off).
