Im not a big fan of Image skincare, I think they focus too much on oily skin types and I find their products too harsh and drying for my dry, sensitive skin. That said the SPF is the one product I absolutely love and will continue to repurchase. Ive never found a high spf cream for the face before that doesn’t look greasy and leave a white cast. I used to never put any sunscreen on my face, even during hot Summers because the SPF’s looked so greasy and horrible and wouldnt absorb into the skin. When my spf 30 runs out im going to start purchasing the spf 50.
Wish id started buying this years ago, I could have saved myself from years of sun damage.

I’m so mad at myself for wasting money on this. This is heavily fragranced and doesn’t do much in terms with keeping my skin matte. It also feels heavy on my skin.
Will be going back to my Elta MD Clear.

I’m resisting giving this 5 stars – because this is the 1st time I’ve used it! But man oh man – do I like it so far. I have dry, acne prone skin, but I still don’t want a greasy, shiny finish for daily wear. I have long preferred physical sunscreens, but my derm is pretty sold on the idea of chemical/physical hybrids, as a way of being sure you’re covering all your bases as far as UV protection. I won’t use anything with avo- or oxybenzone – over time I’ve discovered those ingredients to be super irritating to my eyes – bad for the environment, as well. I’m leaving out the hormone disruptor thing – I just don’t know enough about that & I don’t think all the scientific facts are in yet. Anyway – I just want a good daily sunscreen. That doesn’t make me greasy, white or shiny – and works well under makeup. So far this checks ALL the boxes. And wonder of wonders – when I applied this morning & let it dry down for 10 minutes or so – it was NOT white at all, and it WAS matte. Not dry, flaky, zinc-y matte – but smooth, soft matte. No pilling, no streaking, no grabbing anywhere. Just a nice soft finish with a slight tackiness that made makeup application very nice. Not to mention, 8 hours into initial application, my makeup still looks great. If there was anything I could change about it, I’d make it unscented. And of course less expensive. But the fruity scent is not offensive & does dissipate after application. And the tradeoff for the expense ( 39 bucks ) is a larger bottle at 3.2 oz. I really think I may have found a sunscreen I can live with for the long term. While crossing my fingers – I’m going to go back to Skincare by Alana tomorrow & buy the full size. You can do what I did and get a very nice little sample kit of all the Image sunscreens for around 20 bucks. Loving this so far – the most, out of ALL the sunscreens I’ve tried in about 40 years. To me, that says alot.

I never had any acne on my face but after using this sunscreen I started to get pimple now I stoped using this but still getting small bumps on my chin line. Before I purchase this I told them I have a very sensitive skin I only used Johnson products all my life. I never had any big issues with my skin just have nonnoticeable brown patches. They convinced me in such a way that I purchased this product and assured me I will not get acne. Now I don’t know how to get my previous skin. If you can’t help others at least don’t do any harm to others this is the only thing I have to say now. And if you are not sure don’t give guarantee.

I am an esthetician and have been certified in Image products and many other lines and I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS go back to this line. Image is a winner in my eyea, even in comparison to Skinceutocals and Obagi.
With that being said, I have tried all the image daily defense moisturizers and the mattifying one is great!!! It certainly does mattify, doesn’t break me out and improves your skin over time. If you have oily skin, it will hydrate and balance your skin. if you put a serum underneath it other than Hyaluronic acid, that will cause some oiliness, so be wary.

to note,I never used the “original formula” that some people compare the new formula to…
I have been trying to get my oily skin routine down for quite some time and finally found the biggest missing piece – this moisturizer. I notice such a HUGE difference from when I wear it and not wear it. it is a bit thick bc it is sunscreen as well, but it rubs in nicely with no white residue.
like others said, no need for primer or anything else, just this and then Revlon Color Stay followed by a dusting of Rimmel Stay Matte and I am good to go for hours and hours…

awesome stuff! I have very oily skin and this spf moisturizer keeps my skin matte all day. It’s also a great primer for makeup, my makeup stays on my face all day!

Holy Grail for oily skin people!! Seriously. I LOVE this moisturizer.
See, I was very happy with what I had been using under my foundation to control oil (Skinfood Peach Sake lotion and Primer), but one day while I was getting a facial the aesthatician applied this to my face as the finishing step. It smells divine … like SweetTarts candy! But I was certain it would prove to be too heavy, clog my pores or just not control oil. She told me all about it’s skincare benefits and how great it was at controlling oil, but in my head I thought, “yeaaahhhhh ….. you don’t know my skin and the crazy amount of oil I deal with”. Well, seeing she hadn’t sold me on the idea, she gave me a small sample to take home.
Long story short ….. Tried it, loved it, bought it.
It’s soooo good at controlling oil. And when I wear it under my Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation, it lasts all day. No touch ups or blotting. And typically I have to blot several times a day. Now ….if I am outside sweating my butt off in the sun or working out, then I will end up blotting once. But otherwise, this stuff is solid.
Also ….IMPORTANT!!! ….. I wear this alone on clean skin, followed by my foundation. No serum, no primer, no anything else under it or over it. Just clean skin, this matte moisturizer, and then Double Wear Foundation and loose powder. That’s it! This is very important to note! Because serum or primer or anything else layered with this will make foundation look cakey and will actually lessen the oil control quality. So resist the urge to use serums or primers with this moisturizer! Trust me, you don’t need it! This is antiaging serum, oil control primer, sunscreen and moisturizer IN ONE. And it rocks!!
Love it! HG!! <3

I LOVE this moisturizer. My aesthitician gave me a sample after a chemical peel once, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I have oily skin, and this keeps the oil under control without clogging my pores. It smells great, and my skin feels soft and hydrated as soon as I put it on. I wear it under my makeup and also when I go without since it’s also a good sunscreen. A little on the pricey side, but you don’t need much so it lasts a while.

This product does exactly as stated on the packaging. It keeps my uber oily skin under control, is an anti-aging moisturizer with an SPF of 30. Three effective products all wrapped into one. What a bargain! I’m impressed. So much so, I’m trying other treatments.
I checked out their website and couldn’t help but notice the simplicity of the regimen and no empty promises. Truth in advertising. What a concept.
I don’t know about anyone else but I have more interesting thingss to do than hang out in front of the mirror angsting over that next wrinkle or freckle!
