   This sunscreen is nice enough, but it’s too greasy for oily skin. It doesn’t feel nice when you apply it, because it feels oily, surpisingly enough, it looks alright under makeup, but I feel like it reduces the foundation wear time and the skin ends up looking extre greasy at the end of the day.

   On the plus side, it protects well and does not break me out.

   This is the only sunscreen that doesn’t feel heavy, greasy, or cause me to breakout. It feels silky while putting it on and until it’s completely set. It’s also white out of the bottle, but very quickly acclimates to my skin tone. I will say that because it’s so light, it goes on in a more liquid form than some people might be used to. It needs to set for about 5 minutes after application, then it looks perfect. It’s not supposed to be a matte by any means. It makes my face appear hydrated, but not overly. It also layers fantastically with my other skin care products and it has made my makeup primer unnecessary. It doesn’t pill up under make up whatsoever. I am sure I love it so much just because of the way it works with my skin specifically. I could see where those with oily skin may not like it. Even in my more oily areas though, I never have an issue. My only hangup is price. It’s expensive for something I need to use daily. That being said, I’ll still continue to repurchase when I run out because it’s the best SC I’ve come across and I can’t go without it.

   I have yet to find my HG SS. This isn’t it, but it’s not totally Prep Step’s fault. I have dry, sensitive skin that doesn’t do well with chemical SS, and mineral SS dries my skin out further, which is the problem I have with Prep Step. I see reviewers with oily skin complain that Prep Step is too oily; it is rather moisturizing. Honestly, a good mineral SS should be moisturizing to some degree to offset the drying nature of zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide. But, yes, I would not recommend Prep Step for those with oily skin. Even with my dry skin, though, it stil sucks moisture out of my skin as the day goes on (and, yes, I’m wearing moisturizer underneath). When I wear it several days in a row, it’s especially bad. In fact, I don’t think I’ve gone more than three days in a row before having to take a break, and that was during the humid summer months. What Prep Step has going for it is that it looks great on (me, someone with pale skin). The tint looks great, and considering most tinted SS look too dark or yellow, that’s a big plus. It also looks like natural skin rather than too matte or too greasy. In summary, Prep Step is ideal for a pale-toned person with normal to somewhat dry skin who doesn’t experience VERY dry skin when wearing mineral SS.

   I’m back and forth in my opinions of this product. I very much like the high SPF of 50 with only active ingredients of zinc and titanium dioxide, but I dislike the slight grainy texture upon application. I love that it doesn’t have a white cast and makes a nice base under makeup. Occasionally I notice a bit of irritation when I wear Prep Step for several days in a row or am less than thorough in my double cleansing removal routine. Micellar water does not remove Prep Step completely and using it alone caused some clogged pores. I generally like the feel of the product on my drier areas, but I can see how oilier skins would dislike it. The packaging is effective to dispense the correct amount of product. I packed my bottle for a Caribbean cruise and it never spilled or leaked at all. Overall, I like this, but I don’t love it. I wish I had waited for it to be widely distributed in sample boxes or sold at discount stores instead of paying full price. I will use up my bottle but likely will continue searching for my HG sunscreen instead of repurchasing this one.

   This just a sits on top of skin. It’s supposed to be a primer, but it makes all of my makeup slide around on top. I’m seriously considering bringing this back to ulta. The only good thing is there’s no white cast.

   I pick sunscreens based on EWG ratings. Most of the approved sunscreens have terrible textures or leave a white cast. Not this product. You shake it up and squeeze the product through the packaging’s skinny nozzle. It has a slightly grainy texture but I think this is due to thousands of tiny capsules of tint to cancel out zinc’s typical white cast effects. The texture is strange because it feels greasy and oily going on the skin, but within five minutes, I can hardly tell I have anything on. I do find it a bit drying – towards the end of the day my skin feels a tiny bit parched – but this aside this sunscreen is a great product. I love it so much I bought SIX of them when I saw them on clearance for 13.00 a piece at Marshall’s! I would still buy this product at its 30 plus dollar price point.

   I haven’t yet repurchased this, but I absolutely would. I like to buy and try a lot of skincare and I’m trying to scale back my hoarder tendencies so I already have three other sunscreens I have to work on before I should buy anymore… I’m actually surprised that this has such a low rating on MUA. I have enjoyed this. It’s cosmetically elegant, doesn’t have a whitecast, and has a low EWG rating – for me, those three are basically what makes for a holy grail item. This is my favorite sunscreen that I’ve tried.

   I really like this. Without all the chemicals associated with spf I was leary of it. It makes my makeup go on nicely and keeps it longer. No white cast with this either. A little goes a long way which makes the price better.

    Another purchase on my quest to find my HG sunscreen, and unfortunately this isn’t it. Close, but just not quite there. The sunscreen itself blends like a dream, sits well on skin, and gives a slightly smoother appearance to the face. With such a high mineral content I thought it was a winner. One negative I found right off the bat was that it is greasy feeling. It doesn’t look greasy or behave oily, but it feels so darn greasy on application. It feels like a thin oil just spreading around. Because it does seem to dry down I was willing to deal. However, when I attempted to put the recommended amount on for some outside time I could not rub it in, could not get it to dry down, and it felt incredibly heavy and greasy and I had to wash it off. If you plan to use this for every day activities that are mostly indoors with short walks to the car then applying a small amount is fine. As a mom, I am outside often enough I need to feel good about my susnsceeen and be able to apply more or less based on needs. I considered keeping this for days when I plan to be inside mostly or go to outside events where I’d like to look put together, but I found one other deal breaker with prolonged use It unfortunately caused little bumps/rough, textured areas for me If I can only wear it so rarely, I can find other things that give me a better look with a lower spf, which would be fine for those outdoor special occasions or days when I’m mostly inside. If I cannot wear it for as many days in a row as I want withput texture appearing, it just isn’t going to be my next HG.
