   Update (July):
   .This ss works great as a primer. It removes flakiness and prevents foundation from craking but isn’t oily. Foundation looks wonderful and not washed out.
   .it is easy to use a quarter teaspoon of ss on my face, which is more than enough ss. But it doesn’t feel heavy. The slight white tint blends into skin to give a lighter skintone. Using more ss than is required also increases spf protection, according to my favourite blogger Labmuffin, who does scientific analysis of skincare.

   First impression review

   I received this sunscreen as a gift and wasn’t expecting much. Boy was I wrong. The texture was divine! Like whipped cream that glided onto face into a satiny finish while giving my skin a slightly brighter natural tint. It was slightly dewy at first like a moisturizer but that faded into a matte look minutes later. It felt like moisturizer, and half an hour later, there was hardly any sunscreen film feeling when I touched my face, unlike Biore and Skin Aqua and other kinds of mineral sunscreen. And I used 1/5 tsp for my face.

   Another pro is its inclusion of skin beneficial ingredients: niacinamide, panthenol, green tea, inositol and mineral salts found in high end brands like Perricone, Algenist and Amore Pacific.

   Also it has minimal emulsifiers, silicones and fatty acids and no alcohol. Most of it is tapioca starch which I guess is responsible for the light silky texture. The result is this cream is creamy but surprisingly not oily and heavy.

   However the first time I wore this my face stung a little and my eyes stung a lot. Thankfully the second time my face didn’t sting and I made sure not to put it close to my eyes.

   I think the culprit is one of its sunscreen actives like octocrylene, which is sensitizing to some people. If only the FDA approved more sunscreen ingredients…

   I’m not sure how durable or waterproof this is but since it’s just SPF 25, I think this is meant for indoor use.

   This is also expensive, almost 10 USD more expensive than Paula’s Choice top ss – the weightless one. But the upside is you get a wonderful satiny matte feel.

   Other notes
   .Slight fragrance that fades fast
   .I recommend to use back of finger to scoop product so it won’t get under nails
   .Some might be bothered by jar packaging. I’m fine with it.

   Will I buy again? Yes if I feel like pampering myself.
