   This is a fungal acne safe sunscreen and I bought it originally to put all over my face. However, it’s only really suitable for me around my eyes where I am sensitive. The all over face application turned out to look white and oily. It has the typical blue-ish white cast that you get from many zinc oxide based sunscreens. I have light skin, but it has yellow undertones, so it’s really obvious.

   For around the eye area, I actually don’t mind the emollients but it’s quite shiny when used all over . With my oily skin, I needed to powder it heavily with a darker powder, which made it look cakey. Rated 5 for eye use, 3 for elsewhere.

   Excellent sunscreen for the body (I’m using the chemical one) – yes it goes on very thick and is difficult to blend at first but I’ve found that if you slather on a layer and spread it out then wait a few minutes and go back to blend it in, it is much easier to blend into your skin.
   I use this primarily for my neck and chest everyday and on the rest of my body whenever I will be exposed.

   We used this on occasion for DD when she was 6 & 7. Now she’s 10 and we prefer a spray formula. Good for kids who swim alot. this one can go on thick and gloppy.

   I have seen several different versions of this sunscreen, so I’ll start off by stating that this is the one with the active ingredients: Titanium Dioxide (3.1%) and Zinc Oxide (4.0%). This is important to me because of my ridiculously sensitive skin. Anything else is unnecessary, and there is also currently some massive controversy surrounding Octyl methoxycinnamate, so I’m avoiding that completely for now.

   This is also fragrance free, which is also awesome for me, because fragrances aggravate my acne and overall are bad for the skin. There’s also no unnecessary alcohols added, like Benzyl and Cetyl, which probably don’t irritate most folk’s skin, but again, my skin is crazy sensitive.

   I have given this a test run for a solid week, and it has upheld to my jogging and yard work in the southern summer head and humidity very, very well. And I’m pleased to say that I have had zero acne problems, no clogged pores, and no burned skin. It’s not greasy, and it doesn’t really have anything moisturizing in it, so it may be best to stick to your normal moisturizing routine when using this. I use this on my body and face since I’m having a hard time finding something just for the face with a high SPF and no crazy alcohols nor fragrances. I personally don’t see a white cast when I wear it, but I’m pretty pale.

   I will definitely buy this again. The tube will last me longer than most since I stay pretty covered in the summer and swim indoors, so the price is right for me. And if you have sensitive skin, you should definitely try this, or at least look at sunscreens for kids and babies since they’re typically not loaded down with a huge, scary looking ingredients list.

   This is a review for the Tear Free Sting Free SPF 50 lotion PHYSICAL based sunscreen.

   This is my go-to everyday body sunscreen in the summer. I prefer to used physical based sunscreens because I find that chemical sunscreen ingredients such as avobenzene tend to irritate my skin if used everyday. As far as all-physical sunscreens go, the formula is not too thick and the white cast is bearable. Mildly moisturizing but not greasy.

   Sure, it’s for babies, but shouldn’t we all baby our skin?

   Active ingredients:
   Titanium Dioxide: 3.1%
   Zinc Oxide: 4.0%

   The sunscreen pictured here does not have the ingredients stated below by the other reviewer. Photo needs to be changed. The Banana Boat Kids Tear Free Sting Free spf 50 fragrance free suncscreen lotion I just purchased at WalMart is all ohysical and has ingredients: Titanium Dioxide (3.1%), Zinc Oxide (4%), Water , Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Isohexadecane, Butyloctyl salicylate, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 dimethicone,Lauryl Peg-8 Dimethicone C30-38 olefin/isopropyl maleate/ma copolymer, Sodium chloride, Dimethicone, Capryl glycol, PEG-8, Alumina, Glycerin, Sodium Citrate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Phenoxyethanol, Octyldodecyl Citrate Crosspolymer Ethylhexyl Methoxycrylene. I am so ecited to find this all physical sunscreen that is water resistant and easy tro apply. It does not leave as white a cast as my other favorite – Coppertone Sensitive – which has a few non-physical ss ingredients but no Avobenzone and has been my summer go to for heavy duty sunscreen. I have added another category for this sunscreen.

   Not much love? I am surprised. It is identical to the Baby Tear Free SPF 50 but with different packaging. It is marketed for toddlers instead of babies, but the formula is identical. You can just go ahead and pick one based solely on the color you like. 🙂

   I like that it is inexpensive and I can apply it generously on my arms. This has the smallest opening I’ve seen on a tube, which makes it easy to apply. It has abundant UVB protection to keep my arms from getting darker than my face in the summertime. A small amount of Titanium Dioxide ensures adequate protection from UVA, but I am not too concerned about UVA for my arms since they are exposed only a few months. I do extend the application on my hands and it works fine.

   On the negative side, I do eventually get small sunscreen lines where I fold my arms but I smooth them out with my finger and eventually I don’t need to do it once it’s completely dry. Given I apply a generous amount, there is a slight white cast and if you touch you can feel it. So it’s not completely weightless in that sense. But I will repurchase each time. I like knowing that it has a high SPF, contains partly mineral actives, and is water resistant.

   NOTE: Formula wise, Target’s Up & Up Kids SPF 60 is identical. It is $1 cheaper and comes in a larger size. Once I run out, I might repurchase that.

   This is not a bad sunscreen but I wouldn’t use this on my face. I’m prone to breakouts and this sunscreen is too thick and oily for my face. Better to use this on your body.

   I absolutely love this stuff. It’s very thick and takes some real rubbing but it lasts and really protects. I have never gotten a sunburn while wearing this sunscreen, and I usually get burned no matter what. Lasts very well during swimming too. I have also used this on my face and it has never caused me to break out. I have already purchased this multiple times and will keep doing so.

    I’m pretty sure that this product is the same as the Baby Tear Free SPF 50 since they had the exact same ingredients, but I’m adding it as a separate product just in case.

    After staining some clothes with an avobenzone-containing sunscreen, I bought this to use as a body sunscreen since it does not contain avobenzone, is waterproof/sweatproof, and is fragrance-free since I’m allergic to several fragrances. (I use a separate sunscreen for my face.)

    This sunscreen is very thick and takes a long time to rub in. I wore it to a cookout and it seemed to last the whole and I did not get burned; however, 5 or 6 hours after applying it my skin was still very greasy! I might continue to use it for outdoor activities, but it is definitely too greasy to use as an everyday sunscreen.
