I really like this as an SPF in that it doesn’t clog my pores, and it keeps me well-protected. That said, I bought this originally because I wanted a matte cream. This is definitely not that. My skin glows like an oil slick as soon as it’s on, and as for the tint: beware. I’ve bought it a couple of times now as it’s a really good reliable SPF, but only for holidayn when I’m not wearing makeup. I stick to my Nars Tinted Radiance moisturiser if I have to be professionally presented.

It would be helpful if you stuck to writing reviews for ONLY the Daily Face Formula on this page. They all have different coloured packaging guys, it’s not hard.
I loved the 30+ version of this, though since it’s gone up to 50+ it stings my face. I wouldn’t say this this was matte in the slightest though. Haha. They’re pulling your leg on that one. This isn’t moisturising, though it is shiny.

Was so excited to get this sunscreen because I’ve been looking for a matte and oil free sunscreen so thought I’d give this one a go. So disappointed. My skin isn’t that oily to begin with but this product made it feel like I had actual grease on my face. After first putting it on my face it was greasy but I thought it was because I had to let it dry out but after leaving it and then trying to rub it in again – no difference. Was really unhappy that it says matte formula but it’s clearly NOT. Why put matte formula when it’s the complete opposite? I read some reviews and other people have said that same thing. I wanted to like this product but I am extremely disappointed. I literally cannot use it, even if I was at home by myself it makes me feel absolutely disgusting, I will be going back to my Cancer Council suncreen. Best thing about this is the SPF50

The one I used to use may be the older version. It was mattifying and also tinted.
I have acne, sensitive, oily complexion and it did not help mattify my skin one bit. IN fact, it made it oilier and made me breakout too 🙁

This is probably not your go-to product for summer if you have oily/acne-prone skin. I purchased this during winter and it worked quite well during that season – it has a smooth finish that stays put throughout the day. However, when the seasons changed, the effect of this product is dramatic. At the end of the day, my face has more oil than a gas station. If I lightly press my finger on my face, the product will actually lift off and I can see a mark on that finger. It’s that bad. No, I do use a primer to help the product stay put. No, my primer is quite excellent.
Then again, I concede that not everyone has oil that rivals the Middle East. For people with normal skin (curse you!), I think this product would be excellent for you. It offers very high sun protection and it’s one of those simple products (think Cetaphil, no crazy chemicals) that’s very reliable.

The one I have is the darker tinted one though when you start rubbing it it turns really light so you kind of look like a ghost yeah pretty humiliating. It doesn’t feel nice it feels greasy and the covage isn’t good either. It isn’t moisturising as well. The only good thing is that it’s SPF so I’m just going to use it for sunscreen and then buy cheaper sunscreen cause that was a waste of money. PS. If your light skinned this is better for you to use as an every day SPF cover however don’t take photos in it cause anything with SPF isn’t really good for photography.

I generally avoid the sun (i’m a winter kind of girl anyway) but since it’s unavoidable at uni, i bought this sunscreen for my sun protection needs (since my foundation only has SPF15 or something like that…). It has a peachy kind of tint to it that disappears when you put it on and it’s as matte as sunscreens go (and oil free i believe – though anything on my face tends to feel oily). However, it changes the general composition of my foundation that sits on top of it, making it slightly more oily than usual. It’s not something i reach for often because it hasn’t been integrated into my routine yet, but during summer i will definitely put it on (because oiliness is still better than getting burnt…). I’m not too sure whether i would repurchase, but its pretty good nonetheless 🙂

I’ve tried this at least three times over the years, hoping it would work for me. No matter what I do it pills too badly. As I watch it rub off my skin with every touch I doubt its effectiveness as a sunscreen. It also tends to block my pores and sweat off in hot weather. I’ve tried using it with no serum or moisturiser on underneath but the result is always the same, it just won’t stay put. It certainly isn’t matte finish and it’s a pity because the slight tint does even out my skin tone, and I look quite good for the first half hour (as long as I powder the shine down). I really hate to knock an aussie product but this is thumbs down for me.

I have been using this product since I was about fifteen. I lhave been living in Europe for three years now and I am soon turning (ugh) forty – every time I go back to Australia I can see the difference between my skin and that of my contemporaries. I only wish I’d thought to spread it over my decolletage when I was younger.

After trying many chemical-based sunscreens looking for one that didn’t irritate my skin, and then trying many zinc oxide/titanium dioxide-based sunscreens looking for one that didn’t make me look deathly pale, this was a great find. It’s sheer, lightweight, doesn’t make me too shiny or too matte, doesn’t whiten, and doesn’t irritate my skin (or very minimally, anyway – I can’t be sure). It can pill, like others have said, but only when it’s too thickly applied and then rubbed after it’s dried. I’ve found the best way to use it is to pat it all over my face and then blend it in before it dries. I can then layer over my tinted moisturiser or liquid foundation with no problem. It forms a sort of ‘film’ on your skin, which actually I like because it gives my skin a smoother texture, like a primer I guess. I’d say it’s lightly moisturising – I use another moisturiser underneath in winter but not in summer. It’s dirt cheap, so definitely worth a try.
