I like that it’s spf 60 but that’s where the good ends.
The tube is too big to fit into my purse easily which is a small nitpicky thing. The real bummer comes from the consistency of the product is too liquidy for a tube design so it ends up all over the inside of the cap. It’s hard to control since it’s really runny. It’s way too easy to get too much and you can’t put it back. Also feels simultaneously greasy and dry. It leaves my skin feeling greasy all day but is not moisturizing. While it’s marketed as being good for sensitive skins, it stings slightly (lord help you if you accidentally get any in your eye). It leaves a gross powdery residue on the nose of my glasses.

COMMENTS: I wanted to like this, but it’s not meant for my combination skin. I got oily much quicker when wearing this. I like that it blends into the skin easily and there’s no white cast, but the formula just didn’t work for my skin type.

I am a first time user of this product since it was never available locally and I was hesitant to order it online because of its price. My dermatologist recommended a higher SPF for summer (I normally wear SPF30) and I was at Walgreens looking for a product I thought they still carried. This was a first-time offering and a coupon was listed with it. It is still expensive but I took the plunge. There is no lingering fragrance but it seems like any fragrance-free lotion; it does not smell like sunscreen. I apply it to both face and body. It seems like it would be greasy but it definitely sinks in. No problems when applying makeup. I really like it because you can’t feel it just laying on your skin. I think based on my experience I would repurchase because you can have all the great makeup products under the sun (no pun intended) but if your skins isn’t good, the rest doesn’t matter. The only reason I would not give it a 5 is that although it is a mineral sunscreen, it’s not a more ‘natural’ product and there are others I want to try first.

This sunscreen turned my mom’s and my skin yellow. At first it was fine – went in beautifully, wasn’t greasy, and had a light, pleasant fragrance. But then we played tennis, perspired a bit, and something in our sweat must have reacted with something in the sunscreen because we both turned yellow! It looked as though someone had drawn on our faces with a highlighter.
Other than that, great sunscreen, but the yellow skin was not a good side effect.

I’ve tried many La Roche Posay sunscreens (US versions), and the only one I’ve kept repurchasing is the SPF 15 daily moisturizer with Mexoryl SX. I use Refissa every night, so a higher SPF is a must, especially because I live in a sunny climate. After trying too many brands to count, I came upon Melt-In Suncreen Milk. While it’s not perfect, it’s better than most. It does get quite greasy after a couple of hours, and it does peel off and ruin makeup, but it’s the least greasy, least “peely” broad-spectrum, photo-stable, high SPF sunscreen I’ve found. I may have given it 4 lippies if not for the strong enthanol (denatured alcohol) scent this emits upon application.
