It is very thick, creates a white cast on face and crumbles and peels off making it look like I have dry ski. Do not recommend.

This is an amazing sunscreen that doesn’t feel tacky or gross. My derm put me on this and I have to say its the best sunscreen I’ve used. It doesn’t make my skin oily or leave a weird film on the skin. Its also colourless so it doesn’t leave a grey cast on skin which is something that most sunscreens do to those of us who aren’t pale. It doesn’t have a strong scent like most sunscreen. It smells almost fresh instead of highly chemical. Overall its a really good product. It has a high protection factor which is great because skin cancer is real guys. Always wear your SPF.

I have given this 3/5 due to the fact that I don’t like the formula however I do think it offers effective sun protection. I have normal – dehydrated skin and purchased this as my skin can sometimes become sensitive so thought this would be a good option for days when it is more sensitive. The formula is fairly thick and dries matte on my skin. I should add that I am typically used to using sunscreens such as Skin Aqua – which are generally more cosmetically elegant and dry down to be invisible. The Heliocare Gel does look very matte on my skin and is visible. If I attempt to apply tinted moisturiser over, it pills quite a lot. I can imagine that this formula may be suited more to those with combination/oilier skin types.

I have the color-version of this and it looks absolutely amazing on the skin. If you don’t like wearing heavy foundations, buy this sunscreen (again, the one with color in it). It blends so smoothly with the skin and if you like to keep it simple, that’s the only thing you need to put on in the morning besides some mascara and brow gel. Incredible product, please give it a try.

Omg I‘m so sad!! It looks beautiful on the skin but sadly it’s verry irritating if you have sensitive skin. My skin gets very itchy it I apply this product and I when I remove it at night, my skin is super red and irritated. If you’re able to wear this, lucky you but be careful if you have sensitive skin. I saw other reviews of people that had the same experience with this product. Really disappointing..

This is game changing – the only spf I have yet to find that either isn’t greasy or doesn’t break me out. Most suncreams leave my face very shiny and result in the occasional spot, & over the summer I tried the La Roche Posay Anthelios & it resulted in the WORST, most painful breakouts all over my face. Therefore, I wanted to find a new spf I could wear daily that didn’t irritate my skin or leave it shiny – this is perfect! It smells like peaches (no typical suncream smell – yay!), isn’t greasy & skins in fast, but doesn’t dry my skin out. This hasn’t caused any breakouts and I feel like my skin is well-protected on a daily basis. I will definitely re-purchase when I run out

Wanted a daily spf at a good price point.
This leaves no white cast on my olive/pale skin and a good base for my nars tinted moisturiser. Often get compliments on my skin as it gives a nice subtle glow. I double cleanse with a mild cleanser (la roche posay caring wash) as it’s waterproof. It stings if it gets near your eyes! Have repurchased many times and would definitely aim to always have a tube of this in my cupboard. I alternate this one with neostrata spf 50.
Looses one lippy as doesn’t contain any actives like elta md and neostrata spfs do.
Would like to try the heliocare tinted version of this formula.

Just no! I have very sensitive skin and this self tanner made it red (I was not tanning and my face never burn from forest hikes) and clogged many pores.
I’ve tried it for two times with several days gap. Same result. Sending it back!

A new holy grail in my quest for an everyday SPF 50! No white cast, a pleasant smell, sinks in quickly and works well under makeup. I have very combination skin, and occasionally I need something a little more moisturising for my cheeks, but for oily skin this is absolutely amazing.

LOVE this stuff. It’s my everyday SS. Smells great, kinda like peaches but subtle. Spreads well. DOES NOT STING or make my eyes burn. It’s a little sticky but doesn’t feel heavy- anything I’ve tried that’s not sticky dries me out too much. I use a little IT Cosmetics powder foundation over it on my cheeks to cover the redness and broken caps.
I know I don’t use the “proper amount” but I just can’t for everyday exposure. I’m hoping every bit helps. I put it in an empty little pump bottle (copper tone?)
Haven’t tested it for all day in the sun or at the beach. Can never remember if it’s waterproof/ resistant or not. Don’t want to chance it.
Definitely worth a try if you’re still looking for a facial SS!!

This is a great sunscreen for acne-prone skin. Provides amazing protection without the greasy finish. Slight white cast but still much better than those I’ve tried. Its derm-recommended and makes your skin look better as well.
