Bless this stuff, fam. Fresh out of the shower with freshly conditioned and rinsed hair, section out, rake through hair, scrunch, air dry. (Will need to get a blowdryer to dry my roots, too think hair means those never dry lol)
Pros: My wash and go curls are SOFT, shiny, and bouncy. My curls are DEFINED. I didn’t need to break up the crunch the way you do with gel or anything, they jsut dried soft and fluffy. I LOVE IT.
Cons: It does have dimethicone in it, just a fair warning. I’m ok with that because I cowash thoroughly and I do deep condition/protien treatments once a week; I’m more that happy to absorb the consequences of this one curly sin, haha
Also, It doesn’t do much for volume on top if you need help with that. Applying and scrunching upside down does help a bit, but If I had more time in the morning I’d clip up my roots.
Also I’m not 100% frizz free in super humid weather, but go figure. I’m WAY better than I would be without.

This did nothing for my loads of coarse, wavy hair. I loved the smell (fresh, rose and herbal) & the texture &
consistency. I purchased because it sounded like
But it left my hair dry and poofy, encouraged no waves, (regardless of the amount I used); I continue to use it underneath other wave enhancing products (like Nuance wave enhancing swirl or Marc Anthony curl envy).
But I don’t think it was even a good product to layer other products with.
Better off using Garnier Marvelous oil, or Organix oils.
This one was useless, IMO.

My daughter and I have very, very curly hair, and this product made both of our hair dry and brittle to the touch. I used it twice hair, and once on my daughters hair, and that was enough. This product cost me over $10 for 8oz and I am so disappointed. I will not ever purchase this product again!

I was pretty excited to try this product since I really enjoyed using the Monoi Oil line. Also, this product seems perfect for a humid summer day in which any other form of hair styling is impossible. So, I followed the directions which basically indicate working the product into wet hair and twisting the hair into knots, etc. (Personally, I usually scrunch these types of products into my hair and wear it up in a top-knot for about 20 minutes and then let it down to air-dry. Occasionally, if I have a surplus of patience and time, I’ll braid my hair into pigtails or twisty knots and sleep on them the night before.) I really loved the results I got from the product which were very beach-y, luscious waves. My hair is not naturally curly, it’s somewhat wavy if left to air-dry on its own with no product whatsoever. I am able to style it both straight and curly. A lot of these types of products I find contain a ton of alcohol and leave the hair frizzy and dull. This product was unique in the sense that my hair felt conditioned when I used this. The scent did not bother me at all, although fragrance is generally not something that bothers me in most products. I felt the price was fair ($10 for 8 oz.) and the packaging is so-so as it comes in a jar (unsanitary, easy to overuse) but is attractive and the jar itself if sturdy/thick plastic.
The only con I have is that the product left my newly washed hair feeling greasy/dirty if I was not careful with the amount I used. This was easily rectified with a little spray of dry shampoo (Batiste) at the roots. The buildup wasn’t very visible at first it was more of a greasy feeling when touching my hair, though by the second day is would look pretty greasy. I honestly don’t know if this is user error or if the product really does have this affect. From the other reviews here on MUA I see there are a few who felt the product was on the heavy side too. I tend to be heavy-handed with all products, this was no different since I have very long hair and tend to overestimate in general. However, after a few tries I lightened up with the amount of product I was using and still felt as though my hair had a ton of buildup, though less than prior uses. Also, my hair tends to be on the greasy side to begin with if I’m not careful with the amount of product I use and even with no product generally need to wash my hair every other day. At any rate, I would definitely repurchase this product, as I am interested to experiment and tweak the amount I am using since the results are very beautiful, luscious waves requiring no heat. If I could, I would give this product 3.5 lippies. But since I liked it most than I disliked it, I chose to give it 4 instead of 3 lippies. Currently, I just began using the original formula Hair Milk Leave-In Conditioner, which supposedly is the lighter and original version of this product. I’m hoping for the same results from the new product but without the heaviness and buildup. Will update!

OMG I love this stuff. My hair is coarse and doesnt hold curls or waves easily but this product gives me the best waves ever! Perfect beachy waves which look so good. I have tried john frieda frizz ease mousse but the waves come out messy-looking and crunchy.

I have super straight, super thin, baby fine hair. My hair will NOT hold a curl. Curling iron curls go straight in 30 seconds.
I receieved a decent size sample of this, and had some free time, so I decided to give it a try. After a shower, I applied it to damp hair, and sectioned my hair into a few small buns. I let me hair air dry while I did my makeup and made dinner.
Moment of truth: I pulled out the mini hair buns, and OMG CURLZZ! Like super pretty soft natural curls. I ran my fingers through them, did a bit of fluffing, and a tiny bit of hair spray. The curls stayed ALL night, something that has never happened for me, ever! Went to bed, and woke up the next morning, and still had some partial curl left. I purchased the full size that next day.
It is not something I would use daily, but it is fun for nights out, or a special occassion. I wouldn’t say it made my hair crunchy, but you could feel product in my hair.

I love that this is a cream pudding vs. a jelly (i.e. Kinky Curly). About a quarter sized glop in dripping wet hair, topped off with a few sprays of Deva Set it Free (or not, it’s actually got some good hold on its own), twirl-scrunch-diffuse. I happen to love the scent, but it’s a true rose so it’s not for everyone. There’s a lot of shine to this stuff, but it can get fuzzy in high humidity. 3a/Botticelli just below collarbone, very fine but enough for several people.

Having incredibly dry and highly processed long curls, I thought that this hair pudding would be the answer to my prayers. Not so. It dried my hair out and gave it the texture of pine straw. Added to that, the smell is old lady- think tea rose and formaldehyde. Ick. Making it even worse is that it comes in a tub, so you have to stick your fingers in it to get the product out (I -hate- tubs for any sort of goo or liquidy product!). This got returned and I am back to my Bumble and bumble curl conscious!

I LOVE this stuff! I apply this to my hair in sections. A little goes a long way! It does an amazing job at defining my 3c curls, no frizz, it does not weigh my hair down or leave it sticky or tacky! I took away a lippie for the price bc I have a lot of hair (think Tracee Ellis Ross, Diana Ross daughter) and I only used this a few times and it is half way gone! So I bought an alternative for 3rd, 4th day curls..despite the price..I love it so much, I have to buy it again!

I had a sample of this. I have not been impressed by any of this company’s products, so I wouldn’t shell out money for any of them again. I have curly hair that I wear straight but didn’t really have time to blow it out yesterday evening so I gave this a try. It made my hair crunchy and dirty looking and it was hard to brush.
