its not drying AT ALL, and makes my hair feels silky while adding fluff and volume without any frizz. It easily layers over other products when I was doing a twist out. I would use this for roller sets as well. great hold.

PROS: Defined but not crunchy curls. And doesn’t weigh my fine hair down at all. AND doesn’t dry my very dry ends out (no added flyaways). Happielujah!! My curls are naturally weak, and I’ve tried a TON of products from high to low end. I’m so happy with this one. The way the cap produces fresh foam each time is genious.
CONS: Not the cheapest product but worth it. Can be a little harder to find (see purchasing tips.)
APPLICATION TIPS: I’m sure everyone needs to find their own sweet spot with this type of product. But I first apply Suave Captivating Curls Mousse OR the new Pantene Curl Defining Mousse to my roots and a bit on my “mids.” I then scrunch the Carol’s Daughter foam on my ends. I get defined but NOT crunchy curls. (But the Carol’s Daughter, without the mousse, doesn’t give me as much body or definition. And the mousse doesn’t give me enough definition or quite as beautiful curl activation without the Carol’s Daughter.)
