So disappointed that B&B has done away with this. I’ve tried the new line and just hate it (as usual, I generally dislike their products.)
This product is a miracle worker on my frizzy dry curls. My hair is quite curly and this product helps define the curls and even maintain the shape after sleeping on it. They are soft, bouncy, yet controlled.
Pricey and requires quite a bit of product to get it dispersed, but I can’t find anything else that works as well.
So frustrated they got rid of it buying every single one I can find.

B&B Curl Conscious Holding Foam is a good product for wavy gals who need a bit of help with their style. I recently went from mid back length hair to a shoulder length, layered, texturized cut with the specific aim to bring out the wave in my hair and to take a good amount of weight off. My hair is thick, thick thick and very heavy and even at longer lengths a wave pattern was apparent in my hair.
For my new ‘do, B&B Curl Conscious Holding foam is perfect for achieving hold to keep waves in my hair all day and to define my style. It is fragranced, a warm musky smell, and it is tacky when dispensing. Too much product will make your hair stiff and sticky, so use less of the holding foam than you think you need and work it in well. Unlike other mousse products, there is no gross crunchy white residue in my hair no matter how much B&B foam I use. I have had bad luck with other mousse products (Herbal Essences literally soaped up in my hair; Got 2 Be left white residue all over). I am pleased with the hold, frizz control and the help it gives in defining my waves.
My other “lazy” style that I do is to sleep with my hair in rag curls overnight for major curls. I usually use a bit of mousse for hold throughout the day and I do have to say that the holding foam is average for the rag curl method. I much prefer to use cheap ol’ Aussie mousse when I use the no heat curl method.
Overall, I am happy with the product and likely will repurchase even with a price of $30 CDN. A product that does what it says and helps define waves is worth it to me.

Wanted to like this product. Sadly after trying it 10 times varying the amount and application method used, I cannot say it worked for me. I have a lot of fine, wavy hair and this product made it feel dry and crunchy. It also dispensed messily and didn’t work as good as other much cheaper products I have tried.

I have naturally very curly hair, and purchased this at a salon in hopes that it would do a better job of leaving my hair curled while feeling natural.
I’ve tried it in varying amounts, with little success. Whether using the tiniest dime-size amount or a quarter-sized amount (I have very thick hair that’s below the shoulders), I’ve found that although it does leave my hair soft, it often feels greasy. Also, the amount of curl I get from using this product is NEVER as much as I get by letting my hair dry naturally. The control is decent, but sadly I’ve had better luck with Herbal Essences products at 1/10th the price.

Update: I find that this is one of those products that work great for a little while then stop working. Also, over time, it really started to weigh my hair down.
I have fine wavy hair and have been looking for a product forever that will will leave my hair wavy, full and with no frizz. I’ve tried a lot of products and this one absolutely works. I use a quarter size of product, blend it in my hands and then rub it in my hair. I blow dry with a diffuser and I love how my hair comes out. This is the best product I have ever used for this style. It is expensive, but I will buy it again because it works. I’ve spent a lot more money on all the products that don’t. You have to press very lightly when dispensing or too much product will come out but that is the only negative thing I have found.

i have fine curly hair and bought this product because my hair stylist recommended it. He warned me to very gently press the dispenser so that only a small amount of foam comes out. I have found that a dollop between a nickel and a quarter size works best for me. If you use too much your hair will get a bit crunchy. Remember to mix the foam in your hands before apply to your hair. I love this foam! It activates my curls, keeps the frizzies away and gives my hair a bit of a shine. I can use it on its own (on the first day after washing) and no longer have to cocktail 2 or 3 products. So while its expensive, I’m saving money because I’m buying fewer products. The day after washing I just spritz my hair with water and fluff up the curls. If i need to control frizz I use Zero Frizz Styling Cream. Overall I think this foam is pretty much HG. One lippie off because I wish it had a better aroma.

I’ve been using this for a few weeks and love it. The scent is kind of “meh” but love the performance. I have fine, curly hair and this adds volume, reduces frizz, and gives some curl definition without weighing my hair down or making it oily looking. The downside…it’s expen$ive.

I loved the way this made my hair look, but I had to use a lot of it for my fine, curly hair. I used in combo with their curl defining creme. The only complaint–and its a big one–was that the product lasted no longer than a month. For such a pricey product, I expected it to last much longer, like their shampoos and the cremes do. I can’t afford to by this stuff every month, although I would like to.

This mousse gives my fine 3a/b curly hair hold and definition. I have trouble getting my curls to stay put – meaning, they fall out, get smushed easily, or generally lose their shape after the first day of fresh styling. This stuff helps a lot. I can usually resuscitate the curls in the longest pieces of hair (I have very layered hair) by twirling a piece on my finger. That’s how I style with this; I scrunch it into the ends and then make ringlets with my finger before I diffuse. Oh, I also use a t-shirt to gently squeeze the ringlets before I blowdry.
The only problem is that, like others have recognized, you have to press the pump carefully lest it come out in a large blob. If I get crunchies b/c i’ve used too much, i just make sure to comb them out with my fingers. These tend to be worse around my crown.

Everyone’s right about the container: you have to be careful, or you’ll get a whole palm-full, instead of the recommended “quarter-size” amount. This matters because using too much definitely created *crunch* and tangles. I have fine curly hair (combo 3a/3b), about mid/short length (grazes the shoulders) and while I generally have good curl definition, I need something that will give me lift, especially at the crown. I like B&B’s curl conscious cream for fine hair so I thought I would give this foam a try–mousse being lighter and better for creating volume. It gives nice definition and hold, and the curls remain soft and touchable even while retaining their shape (and I live in a very windy neighborhood). While I think this foam has excellent “memory,” it doesn’t seem to give any more body than the curl creme, maybe if you diffuse it would.
