Doesn’t really do much except make my hair look slightly shinier for a few hours. Also I did find the coconut smell a bit overbearing. I’ve had far better results using pure oil (argan, coconut) instead.

I tried this for the first time recently and really liked it.
I have fine hair, color treated hair that’s about to the middle of my back. My roots tend to be oily while the ends get dry. My hair is wavy/curly and I prefer to blow dry it straight but I have a real problem with frizzies. I’ve tried many different products from styling creams to argan oils and while they do leave my hair soft, I still had a problem with frizz.
The first time I tried this I blow dried my hair as usual and then ran my fingers over the hair oil and rubbed my hands together. Then I lightly applied from mid shaft to the ends of my hair. No frizzies!! Added bonus is that it smells good.
Since I use such a small amount, it was totally worth the $10 I paid. This product will probably last me about a year.
The only down side is the tin. It’s cute but it’s hard to open. I don’t like struggling with the tin while trying to get the lid off. It won’t deter me from buying it again, but hopefully they come up with a better container.

At the moment this is the only thing that works on my hair to stop the frizz. I don’t us this as a treatment or to moisturise my hair and don’t expect great things if you do, however, it makes my hair look healthy shiny and tamed. The product will probably last me for at least a year as it seems to hardly go down, and that sounds like pretty good value for money to me! I will definitely be buying this again once I’ve finished, I love it! As long as you don’t slather it on this is a great product.

The first time I used this I wasn’t impressed. I found it a bit sticky and it didn’t spread well. Then I misplaced it and when I found it again, I was like hell, why not. I’d become a fan of coconut oil again and I thought I could possibly use it as an overnight treatment or moisturiser if nothing else – I really hate to waste. I was pleasantly surprised this time. I have very dry, curly, bushy hair and I find that this product works best for me when my hair is dry. As I try to decrease my shampooing frequency, I have a lot of dry hair days and most moisturising products are advised for use when hair is wet or damp. This is what makes it invaluable. I run a pretty generous amount through my hair, maybe coating my hands with it twice or thrice and applying. I end the application with a little scrunching. I don’t find it sticky and the smell is lovely. With hair as dry and voluminous as mine, it’s difficult to overuse which might be the case for others.
I love the shoe box tin and find it quite practical for application. Although I live in the hottest tropical climate, it does not melt. However I would still advise wrapping it in plastic before packing.

I felt like this product was rather alright. It did weigh my hair down quite a bit when applied dry, and didn’t really soften or smooth my split ends. It has a bit of a waxy feel on hair and works best when applied on wet hair. It did seem to help a bit with dryness, but nothing groundbreaking. I found the scent to be a bit too sweet and intense, but I can imagine a lot of people might like it.

I have been using this product for about 2 weeks. This hair shine is not available in Malaysia and I have to get it from Singapore by my sister.
The scent of this coconut oil is very warmth and tropical, like the authentic kind of coconut oil and quite yummy-licious. It so far does not melt or becomes gooey and maintains in wax form.
My usual routine is after washing my hair and when it is about 80% dry, I will apply The Body Shop Beautifying oil (Mango or Moringa) or SPA Monoi Miracle Precious Oil first. After using heat to curl my hair or blowing dry, I will use this hair shine to maintain the curls and the straighter style (by brushing my finger tips over the smooth surface of the hair shine). It does quite a good job but if over applied, it will definitely make your hair looks very oily and weigh it down. The reason I do so by using so much oil, is because I have very dry Asian hair and I love to dying (auburn brown….orange brown….. dark chocolate…. dark blue and now I have dyed my hair twice in a month to black shade) and using heat on it.
I have no problem with the shoe wax alike packaging and it is easy to open and close. The packaging is quite special for a hair style product which is unlike the normal one in a spray bottle, pump bottle or squeeze type.

To use this product I massage a bit onto the end of my fingertips, then rub my hands together to get a very thin coating all over both hands. I then massage the ends (or, for me, last two feet) of my hair. I do this about once a week, or whenever the ends of my hair seem dry. It keeps my hair shiny and moisturized.
For reference: I have hip-length, thick curly hair where the individual hairs are fine. It tends to be slightly more on the dry side than the oily side, except close to the scalp. Like most curly haired people, I tend to get dry ends. I am on a natural hair-care routine where I only shampoo/condition about once every week or two. My hair does not get oily, which is what people I tell that often ask, because my hair has adapted. I never use heat.
This is the only other hair product I apply and I love it!!
To the people who say this product just made their hair greasy: either this product isn’t for them or they over-applied!!

This product works okay if used very sparingly. I take a tiny amount (like you would for lipgloss) and rub it between the palms of my hands and then smooth it on the flyways and ends. I find it softens my hair and tames flyaways, but doesn’t leave much of a shine.

I have medium-long blonde, damaged, porous, dry hair that is very prone to frizziness and poufiness.
I bought this product without second thought because the smell, oh my god it smells so amazing and summery and ugh, I just love it, if I could eat it I totally would. Plus it’s got shimmer in it which is gorgeous. It looks nice and it’s not too expensive, but not cheap either.
As for actually smoothing my hair .. meh, it’s alright, I only use it on the tips of my hair and it does help tame the frizz a little, but it’s a bit sticky and running my hands through my hair is a challenge – I end up ripping out lots of hairs. It also feels a tiny bit greasy, but I only use a little swipe then kind of rub it on the little waves and tendrils around my face and twirl it on my tips. I’d probably use it after using a sea salt spray to help moisturize my hair and counteract the harsh salt, but I’m going to have to look for some other uses for it – I’d definitely try it as a moisturizer, and maybe see if it works in wet hair instead of on dry hair.
All in all I wouldn’t really recommend it, or buy it again, but I am considering eating the whole tin it seriously smells that good.

I love this stuff. I have curly hair which is very porous. If I use straight coconut oil, it goes greasy, but this stuff is great.
It’s more of a finishing product for me – I use it sparsely all over just before my hair gets totally dry, then a little more on the ends when it is dry. It doesn’t give me spectacular shine or anything, but it does make it look healthy.
Because my hair is porous, I probably use more than others and I find it quite pricey. I have bought it more than once and will buy it again, although with my hair I am constantly on the lookout for that one ‘perfect’ product!
Unlike others, I haven’t had any problems with the tin. Unlike the Vaseline lipcare tin I might add!
