This stuff is pure, greasy oil. Shaking it doesn’t make any difference in the consistency or amount of sparkle in it. No matter how much or little I used on my 50+ normal to dry skin, it just made it shiny and oily, not luminized. I have tried many brands-Josie Maran, Armani, Burberry, Revlon, Cover FX, and they have all been better. I like a luminizer that can be mixed with foundation and not mess it up, and that can be worn alone to give a little glow , or maybe mixed with my TM or even sunblock. This one doesn’t come close to any of the luminizers above, and fails with every way I’ve tried to use it. I’m at a loss as to why a company like Tarte would even come out with a product this bad. As for the highlighting sparkles in the product, I don’t think they’re too glittery. It’s the oily texture that I don’t like, so I’m not wasting my bottle- I mixed it with my body lotion and, voila! It works very nicely for that.

The radiance drops can be used as an illumintaing primer, can be applied on lips to hydrate and/or can be mixed in foundation for glow. The consistency felt runny as it was made with a mixture of oils and it had light pink shimmer in it. To me there was no scent to it. I did not try this as a primer or lip treatment. I mixed it with a matte foundation which made my skin look radiant and glowy. I also liked how it did not cause the foundation to oxidize and it did not make my face look greasy, except for my nose, but blotting helped. From my experience, I think this would definitely work for someone with dry skin. I also liked how my face didnt look glittery with the foundation, which is a pet-peeve I have. Although this had a lot of positive qualities to this, I cant love it because it broke me out. Overall, it is a great product but not for me.

This is a staple product in my makeup bag. I am currently on my second bottle of this stuff and I am sure I will buy more when I finish this one! This highlighter is so versatile.. it can be applied to clean skin, on top of foundation, under foundation, and i’m sure a ton of other ways. I like to apply it to the tops of my cheekbones/on my cupids bow/ the bridge of my nose with a beauty blender. I like that it gives a nice glow/ highlight without being too glittery. Being an oil, I think that it looks a lot more natural than a lot of powder highlighters.. and it really soaks into your skin rather than just sitting on top. One complaint that I do have is that the dropper started to break down and eventually got a hole in it so I was unable to get the last of the product out without dumping it onto my counter every time and wasting a lot of product in the process. It also burns if it gets in your eyes… I made the mistake of putting it on my eyelids to try to use it as a natural looking eyeshadow. It ended up running into my eyes and actually burning pretty badly.. but this is just a warning rather than a complaint because this product was never intended to be used as an eyeshadow. On a side note, it looks great on shoulders/ collarbones and even a little on the fronts of your legs if you are wearing a dress.. when I put it on my body I mix it with argan oil and dab it on with a beauty blender wherever the light might hit me!

Not what I was expecting at all! Tarte’s instagram page makes this product out to be like a liquid highlighter. I got a sample 5ml from Sephora when I used my points. It is literally just a face oil that is more watery than oil even after I shook the hell of the it. I tried it on it’s own and it just makes my face greasy. I tried it with my foundation and it didn’t do anything. it It is way over hyped for the product it actually is. I’m glad I didn’t pay over $50 on this product when I already own a bottle of the Maracuja oil which I feel is the exact same product, this one is just in a ‘prettier bottle.’ I was so excited for this product but it disappointed me. Sorry tarte just didn’t work for me. Thanks for reading!

Recently released. Its a little pricey but its unique and beautiful. Its a oil / water type liquid it leaves no greasy or tacky residue absords into skin. When I searched it the micro illuminating particles are stunning!! When applied it leave a healthy glow with a tad bit of sparkle! It is multi use, moisturizes, preps for makeup, mix with foundation or wear alone. Just remember shake well be for use. Also has a lot of good ingredients for the skin, jojoba, coconut oil marine algae etc, and has no scent.
