I used many items from the Pro-x and Complete lines in 2011 and then tested them again recently after having forgotten why I don’t like Proctor and Gamble’s Olay products.
The Pro-X line has more antioxidants than the Complete line, but otherwise very similar formulations. The top three ingredients in most of these lotions are the very effective but also dirt cheap water, glycerin, and niacinamide.
Unfortunately, they also add polyethylene (= plastic bags) and cheap preservatives like the formaldahyde releasing DMDM Hydantion (which is likely carcinogenic). I personally don’t care for polyethylene/ plastic bags in my moisturizer because I don’t like the texture. Others seem to like it.
Paula’s Choice has a niacinamide product that might be worth the money because it doesn’t have all of the cheap ingredients found in the Proctor and Gamble products. You can also buy niacinamide in pill form (similar to niacin, but niacin causes flushing skin flushing) and it is a stable antioxidant (unlike vitamin c and vitamin a), so you might have a chance of adding it to your own lotions without worrying about it degrading.

I decided to try this because it was less expensive than the Bobbi Brown products I had been using. Huge mistake. The age repai lotion is very thick and sme;;s like sunscreen. I don’t like the way it feels. The wrinkle soothing cream didn’t feel horrible but also didn’t make my skin look and feel the way the Bobbi Brown extra repair moisturizer did. Still, for the price I decided to give it a chance. If the deep wrinkle treatment does anything at all, I can’t tell. But it has only been two weeks. What I do notice is that I have pimples where ever I have used it. All three seem to make my face break out. I am going to stop using it. I will just pay a little more for the products that make my skin look better and not break out. Unfortunately I lost the receipt and can not get the money back. If you try this keep your receipt. They do offer a money back garauntee.

This is the most expensive product I’ve ever spent on Olay products. I used it everyday, and saw no results. I’ll just stick with the classic Olay.

Works well. Not irritating. Imparts a dewiness to skin that mimics that of younger skin. It has really helped arrest my developing crow’s feet and frownie lines by plumping them up. The day moisture is decent, though I tend to hit a harder sunscreen on top of this one. The eye cream is okay. I think the Wrinkle Reduction creme is THE product here. I’m on my second starter kit and by ordering at Amazon, I scored the age spot reducer too, so we’ll see what transpires. So far so good. About 2 months in.

With all of the hype regarding the Olay Pro-X line of products, the results achieved over a 4 month period have been not only disappointing, but I’m now left with red patched, rough skin, no reduction in fine lines OR in firmness.
I have developed small acne bumps along my chin and forehead for the first time since I was a teenager, the area around my nose is red, blotchy and very rough and regarding firmness, it seems my skin has become more slack.
It seems to me that Olay has spent most of their money on advertising and packaging. The products (I have used all of them except the hydra firming cream) definitely create cell turnover, sloughing off dead skin, but the ingredients in these products have made my skin the worst it has ever been. I do not have sensitive, acne prone skin. My skin is normal, but I was looking for clarity, firmness, pore reduction, softness and reduction in lines, and the products in the Olay Pro-X line have fallen so short of these expectations it’s ridiculous.

Such a waste of $50. Seriously. The package even had an ALARM SYSTEM on it. I mean, really, Olay? Really? They just seem so full of themselves lately especially with that “Olay creamed other creamz lol!!11” commercial. None of these products did for me what they promised.

After using (and being somewhat disappointed in) the Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream, I decided to give this new line a try when I saw it came in a starter kit. I figured it was a good way to try 3 products at once for a not-too-exhorbitant price. Well, it was a waste of time and money on my part.
The kit comes with Age Repair Lotion with SPF 30, Wrinkle Smoothing Cream, and Eye Restoration Complex. These 3 products are supposed to be the backbone of the Pro-X line, although there are several other products out there that are offered as supplements to this regime.
The Age Repair Lotion is a strictly average day lotion. It’s great that it has SPF 30, but I found that it left my face looking somewhat shiny, so it wasn’t something I really enjoyed using.
The Wrinkle Smoothing Cream, again, was just average. It did a good job at moisturizing, but did not live up to its claims of smoothing wrinkles or “transforming skin.” My skin looked the same at the end of the month as it did at the beginning.
Finally, there’s the Eye Restoration Complex. I did not find this to be hydrating enough for my needs, and it did nothing for circles or puffiness. No use whatsoever.
Overall, I found this trio to be average to below-average in quality and results, and felt all the products to be vastly overpriced for what they accomplish for the skin. This line is definitely a case of great marketing hype. It should be interesting to see how long it sticks around once the initial wave of curious women like myself try it and kick it to the curb.

PROS: Does moisturize. See separate reviews for each item. (The brush for cleansing in this line is fantastic.)
CONS: Cost isn’t the cheapest
ALTERNATES: For spf 30 alternate, I like Olay’s 7-in-1 spf 30.

This is a great product. I used to use Dermalogica but that got to be too expensive. I have to say, Olay works just as well and for 1/4 the price, especially if you buy the products from Ebay. My face has defintely been a lost softer and smoother. Great product!

After 30 days I see NO changes from using these products.
It actually has caused some milia in the eye/nose area.
I have sensitive skin.
Olay assured me via email rep “no problem “; ok for sensitive skin.
Falsely advertised IMHO; vastly overpriced
