In the case of Primark’s 4 in 1 Facial Cleansing Wipes, the saying ‘you get what you pay for’ has never been truer. These cost £1.00 for a twin pack and they are possibly the worst make-up remover wipes I’ve ever used!
The packaging states that these ‘gently cleanse, tone, moisturise and remove make-up’ which would be great if they actually did any of those things. The main problem is the quality of the wipes themselves; they’re way too thin to be considered a decent facial wipe and they’re also too small. As a result, these rip when you use them, meaning you end up using 3 or 4 when you’d still be on your first one with a better brand (e.g. Simple).
They certainly don’t cleanse, tone or moisturise and as for removing make-up – letting the cat lick your face would probably lead to better end results! I tried using one of these to remove my (very subtle) eye shadow one evening and it just couldn’t cope. I ended up using about 3 of these and still had to finish off using a proper make-up remover lotion to get the rest off, which resulted in sore, aggravated eyelids.
If you’re contemplating trying these, my advice would be DON’T! Save your money and put it towards some better quality ones which will actually do all the things these claim to.
