Following some new medications, my skin has been terrible – flaky and very dry. I just can’t get on top of it, even with cortisone creams. I’ve tried many masks including Lush and other Ella Bache mask-type products and had no luck.
Mum and I have been loyal Ella Bache fans for decades so she has a massive collection of freebies from the years and we went through it to try to find a mask that might work.
I tried this with little hope as no products have really made a difference so far. Wow – as other reviews have said, I could actually feel this working! I left it on for about 16 minutes and removed with a damp warm face washer. 24 hours later and my skin is still feeling the effects – the dry flaky patches have ALMOST cleared up! I think in a few days I’ll hit it again with another dose of this mask and I might be cured!!! I can totally believe that it probably also reduces poors and things as others have said, but really all I’m focussing on is it’s fantastic healing and regenerating power!
Definitely will buy when our samples of this run out!

I bought this product because of the rave reviews on MUA and beauty magazines who call it ‘the ultimate party mask’. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is a white, clay-based mask that is thick but easily spread. I don’t notice any particular smell so it’s relatively inoffensive to me at least. I had very high expectations for this product and it does brighten my skin and really clean it out. However, I get the feeling that it is a little hyped up. Still a very good product though, as it leaves my skin very smooth, very clean but not at all dried out. The instructions say to leave the mask on for a minimum of 12 minutes, I usually leave it on for 15 – 20 minutes, I can’t bear much longer than that because the clay hardens and freezes your face which I don’t find particularly comfortable. I paid something ridiculous like $24AUD for 50ml, which was incredibly reasonable because I know in the salons it goes for $60AUD or more. Would recommend for all skin types.

I’ve been using this masque for eight years now on my sensitised skin. It brightens my skin almost immediately and doesn’t upset my complexion. Very gentle product and smells lovely too

Nice clay mask product. It definitely evens out my skin tone and brightens up my face probably by mild exfoliation of the skin. Also because i have oily skin, this controls the oil without over drying. Calms any redness and pimples too giving skin a slight glow.
Use just before a hot date and it will get you prettied up. Got really nice compliments on glowing skin each time after using this …. xD
[edit] exfoliation before is a big factor because sometimes i use this and think “waste of money, not working” but other times there is a big WOW factor …..

I’m on my second tube of this. It’s the perfect mask for before a big night out. It is expensive though, but I only use it maybe once or twice a month. It’s thick, so you just spread it on with your fingers and leave to dry for 12 minutes. I have used this when my skin was more combo, but it works equally well on my now dry skin. It doesn’t cause any sort of reaction either.
The ingredients are:

This is a great mask, it really is the one to use when you want your skin to look as its best, just as the name suggests. It makes skin look poreless and perfect and also decreases puffiness. Cant live without it! Too bad there is no review for the rose mask, which is also really good.

I forgot to do a review on this. I’ve been using this mask for almost 5 years. I love it. I used this when my skin was oily. I used it while I was on roaccutane. I used it after roaccutane. And I use it now on my unstable, sensitised skin. It brightens the complexion and makes my skin feel smooth for a few days. It doesn’t irritate like other masques can. I only gave it 4 lippies because it doesn’t eliminate redness.

I love this product used in conjunction with my other EB facial regimens. It peps up the skin, I can actually feeling working while its on (there’s a tightening effect). Its easy to use and worth the investment.

I have been using this for over a year. So far the best mask I ever have the luck to put on my face. First of all, it is purifying my complexion,turns it clear and bright after I rinsed it off. Second of all, it is not ONLY a beautifying mask for a special occasion, it acts as a deep cleansing mask that help reduce the pore size without over-dry the skin. Last but not least, the fragrance relaxes me. For the price it costed me, I would not hesitate to purchase again. ALthough I do not use their daily cares, I have some of the Ella Bache’s masks and special treatments. These especially products that do wonder for my skin and the result is FOR SURE!

this is a fabulous kaolin based mask suitable for all skin types. the price is quite steep- US$30 for 75mL. but i think it’s worth it. i have tried a lot of masks and this one i think, tops them all (so far). it is called ‘beautifying mask’ and used as a ‘pick me up’ before a night out. it brightened and cleared up my face without any adverse side effects and u only need to use a little and dries fairly fast.
