I tried this mask because I’d tried everything for my acne, but I’d never tried LED light therapy. What a waste of money and time. It was great at regulating my oily skin and it made my eye area look more youthful, but as far as acne it got worse. I was fighting to try it for the full 30 days but I only made it to about day 13 before I returned it. I wish I never bought into the hype.

So after trying raw honey masks and getting a painful nodules I’m sitting here as I type with the mask on for the first time. Will update tomorrow.
4/23 so my skin it dry this morning after last nights treatment, no change in acne
4/24 dry again, no change in acne
4/25 dry again, new pimple on chin. Feeling discouraged but finishing the 30 days
4/27 less dry but tons of new zits! Not happy but hoping it’s a purge and will continue
4/28 I’m giving up. My skin is so dry and irritated I think I’m too sensitive for this.
4/30 returned to the store, maybe if I didn’t also have rosacea this would’ve been better but its too harsh for sensitive skin

AMAZAING!! Best anti-acne/anti-aging device yet and I have tried the quaser, the Acne Lamp, Tanda Red & Blue, & Tanda Zap. Although all these devices are simply LED lights, what sets the illumask apart is the CONVIENCE!!! All the others had to be held to face or sat under…bottom line- this device is clearing up my acne wayyy faster because I actually use it, lol!
And as for repurchasing the “control unit”
once month, this is BS – all you have to do is get someone who is halfway intelligent with electronics and get them to re-wire the tiny circut board and you will get hundreds of uses out of it. Great product but dont fall for the repurchasing BS – total money grab.

So disappointing!! I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this and not one of them warned of the drying effect of this mask. I have very dry skin to start with but i thought this mask would be okay as you only use it 15 minutes a day. After a week of using this mask, any dry spot i had was magnified times 10. I went to my facialist and she was shocked how dry and flaky my skin was. Ever since then I have stopped using the mask. This might work on someone who has oily/normal skin but it only made my dry skin worse.

I have recently developed moderate-severe cystic, hormonal acne that hurts really bad. The only thing that would bring some relief is popping the pimples, but that leaves scars. I have tried oral antibiotics, face scrubs, spot treatments of all brands and strengths with no effect. You name it, I’ve tried it. When I saw the Illumask for acne, I thought it was worth a try. It has helped immensely. My face has almost cleared up completely, except for the sides of my face where the acne is the worst. Because the mask & lights do not cover the sides of my face, which is why i am not giving this product 5 stars. Other than that, I am a believer that this product works!

I’m pretty impressed with this product. I didn’t notice a significant improvement in my acne, but I don’t think my type of acne is what this mask is targeted to treat. I have a lot of blackheads and clogged pores, and this is supposedly for inflammatory acne. But I noticed a huge improvement in the actual look and feel of my skin. This helped a lot with redness and unevenness in my skintone. For the price and how easy this is to use that’s amazing! I think in the future I may just try the red anti-aging mask since the blue doesn’t do much for my kind of acne, but this device has certainly changed my opinion on light therapy. Give it a try!

I didn’t expect this to work, but it did! I’m 42 and have had acne all my life. It flares up sometimes and goes away for short periods sometimes, but always returns. During one of my flareups, I tried this mask, and amazingly enough, it seems to have cleared up my skin. I still get an occasional pimple, but my face is in much better condition than it was when I started it 2 months ago. The fact that it runs out after 30 days is ridiculous, but there are ways around that. Try it – you’ll be glad you did.

I’m using this with a face scrub by lush and some tea tree oil. I never had this cystic acne before and it actually hurts. I tried everything except oral antibiotics. this works. look at the youtube reviews and even a doctor had his daughter using it. I know everyone is different but I was frustrated and even stopped going to the gym because I didn’t want to walk around without make up. I’m not even a full week into it and I see results. Try it, it might just be the answer to your prayers.

i gave this a try after reading many good reviews on different sites and was really disappointed. i didn’t see any difference in my skin from when i started to the end of the 30 days. it’s pretty pricy for something that only lasts a month, and the way it’s designed/packaged is so incredibly wasteful and not environmentally friendly.

This product works pretty well for me. My skin has been pretty much clear for a while, but I recently stopped using Differin (a retinoid) because I’m thinking about having a baby sometime soon-ish (and we all know retinoids are big no-no’s when it comes to pregnancy). Anyway, I was excited at something non-chemical that might help keep my skin clear while I’m avoiding my faithful topicals and this has really helped. It’s not a miracle worker, but flare-ups definitely get smaller faster than they would on their own, and I think it’s helping with post-acne dark marks, too. By comparison, I used to have one of those Zeno acne devices (that use heat) and it never had any real effect as far as I could tell. I really do think this thing is helping, and I have told my sisters about it, too. Your mileage may vary, but I’d say give it a try.
