This is hands down the worst product I’ve ever used and I’m nearly 40 so I’ve used a fair few. Bought it on the recommendation of someone who also struggles with oily skin as she swore by it as a miracle product. Firstly I’m sure it’s not hygienic to get something that everyone in the shop has been handling and picking up and squidging, eww. I’ve always avoided lush as I find their marketing twee and patronising and staff too gushy and pushy but I thought hey give it a go if its a great product. I don’t like that u also have to buy the tin to put it in so it’s not even good value for money.
The product itself not fit for purpose. Doesn’t remove makeup. Leaves a crumbly mess all over the place. Just crumbles and falls off skin. Leaves a horrible film on skin. Appalling. Oh and if you get it wet- which you will, it’s a f**king face wash – it goes mouldy. Vom.
First and last lush product. Gimmicky crap for kids pocket money

I’ve just pulled this product out after buying three years ago! I know thats a long long time past the expiry date but it’s just proven the ability of this cleanser to me. Within days it had gotten rid of the bumps on my face from my boyfriend’s beard ???? and the blemishes on my chin. Even three years after it’s expiry date this stuff still works like a dream for me. I’ve come to really enjoy the earthy scent and the gentle exfoliation is a highlight for me. Sometimes I’ll even use a gentle exfoliant after it to really smooth out my skin.
I’ve never experienced the “film” that people talk about on my skin. That may be due to the age of my tub but my skin is always left feeling fresh and matte, never oily.
This isn’t the only product i’m using and I have just started to really get into my skincare but I really think this has a large part to do with the massive change in my skin in just a few days.
Yes the price is up there but you only really need to use a tiny bit each day so it’ll last you a long time. And for the quality of the product i’m willing to pay it. I don’t have much of a problem with the packaging, it can be a little tricky to open with wet hands but it’s really not a big issue. That being said I highly recommend using this in the shower, it’s much easier and way less messy.

This is truly a HG cleanser.
I have used this at night for some time now and I can say it has improved my skin significantly, it really calms and nourishes it, and gently exfoliates it, while also balancing oil production.
It can be really, really messy because it does have real crushed almonds and rice bran, so I use it in the shower or really carefully over the sink.
The only thing I dislike about it is that it leaves a weird, waxy feel on the face after rinsing it off because of the glycerin in it.
As kind of a plus, it can also be used to cleanse the body as well, even though I personally wouldn’t use it that way.
Note: If you are a person who gets easily thrown off by smells, maybe stay clear of this, as it has a strong herbal smell that takes time to get used to.

This was my alternative product to purchase because Lush had ran out of Dark Angels when my friend recommended it to me. So I bought this cleanser instead! At first I wasn’t happy with this because I wanted to try dark Angels so badly! But after a few use of this I can say that this product is really nice. It doesn’t dry out my face after using it like the drug store face cleansers. My skin feels silky smooth and it pairs nicely with my moisturizer. I’m really glad I found a cleanser that draws out the oils in my face yet doesn’t over dry it!!!!!!

This cleanser has taught me what clean really means. I have combination skin (leaning towards oily) and I always feel uncomfortable after a long day at school. My face just feels gross and I don’t even think about touching it. I get home use Herbalism in the shower and instant freshness!! I totally recommend it for people with oily skin. The only reason why I didn’t give this product a 5/5 and said I wouldn’t but it again is just because of it’s smell. It’s (like it’s name suggests) made of multiple herbs and I guess I just don’t like the smell. It doesn’t have a very strong throw I mean after you wash it off there isn’t anymore smell but for me it just bothered me. Although this product was a dream for me, the smell suggested otherwise.

I am loving this cleanser! I am pretty normal but I have been breaking out like crazy! This cleanser puts my skin back into balance and makes my pores feel super clean without feeling dry. I will admit I avoided this one for a while because of the smell but unless your a super wimp once applied to the face the vinegar smell goes away.Do yourself a favor…GET YOU SOME! if you haven’t found anything you love yet…check this out! Unless you are one who picks out cleansers based on smell. but even then…just give it a chance…this cleanser rocks.

There really are no words to describe how much I love this product. First of all, I think you should all know that I have suffered with acne most of my 20’s and I have tried EVERYTHING… and I do mean everything. Nothing has helped until I discovered herbalism. I use this once a day in the shower, usually in the evenings before going to bed. It has almonds in it so it helps gently exfoliate my skin, without irritating it. it leaves my skin very smooth and very supple. I used this product maybe three times and noticed a huge change in my skin- Possibly because it is organic and uses mostly natural ingredients, but this stuff really helps. I follow it up with Imperialis as my moisturizer and do grease lightening as my spot treatment. My skin has never looked better. I alternate maybe 2 times a week and use Dark Angel, which is a harsher exfoliator. I promise, use these products and your acne days are gone.

This is my HG of facial cleansers. I have always had pretty good skin, never had many pimples or acne, but for as long as I can remember I had small little bumps along my cheeks. I saw a dermatologist who prescribed me a cortisone cream, which got rid of the bumps after several weeks of application. The cream smelled bad, was super thick, and expensive, so I stopped using it. I thought I’d have the bumps on my face forever. Then I found Herbalism. After less than a week, the bumps on my face were totally gone!! Far cheaper and easier to use than a prescription cortisone cream.
When I run out of this & can’t get to Lush to get more right away, I definitely notice a difference in my skin. I was recently without Herbalism for 2 months & I had a blemish that just would not go away. Started using Herbalism again & it cleared up in less than a week.
This leaves my skin super soft & clear. I absolutely love this product & cannot rave about it enough!

Yesterday, i went to a Lush store to try to sample this cleanser. A guy greeted me immediately and asked me to smell this bath bomb he just made but it was too strong for me. I asked him i wanted a sample of Herbalism and he took me to go try it out. He taught me how to use it and sampled it on my hand. My hand felt really good after and he put on the tea tree toner and some cream, which was the wrong one. My face felt really good. I aksed for sample and he gave me one and told me it’s good for 2 washes. I used it for the first time last night and it was really messy. The smell didn’t really bother me, i actually think it smells good. I used it and my face felt really clean and my skin was glowing and soft. Then this morning, i still have the same acne i had yesterday but that was it. I used it again this morning and my face feels clean, soft, and it’s glowing. I really like the glow cause nothing ever made my face glow like this before. I’m really not sure about this product yet, i only have about two more washes and i’m hoping the acne on my face now will clear up by the time i’m done with my sample so i can go in and get more of it or have to try another one of their cleansers.

Love,Love,Love this cleanser. It really cleans my face. My pores are smaller to almost gone! My skin looks healthier and has an overall fresh look. I use this cleanser two to three times a week. I use a small amount of herb. mixed with a few drops of water and I make a lather. with round motion I massage onto my skin for about a min. Wash with warm water, pat dry.
It feels great!
