UPDATE: Broke me out horribly. My dermatologist said lavender can be incredibly irritating on skin and can lead to allergies. Using it as a bath oil now. Way too much money. I should’ve stuck with my Weleda Sweet Almond Oil. Apparently that one, used once a week, can be a good moisturizer.
So I`ve been hooked on the Weleda Sweet Almond Oil for a couple of years now, but I wanted to see what else is out there. The sales woman at Cosme Kitchen, my local Japanese organic shop, recommended this oil, and I was hooked on it instantly. The swatches on my hand smelled heavenly and the skin on the back of my hand absorbed it easily and looked transformed. I bought it with some trepidation, I mean 70 bucks is pretty steep for 50ml of product, but as I use only 1 or 2 drops at night, this might last a while longer. It`s been 2.5 weeks and I absolutely love it almost as much as my Weleda, but not quite. I mean, I don`t know what it is, but my skin just looks even better with the sweet almond oil. The Gamila Secret oil contains lavender oil. I still think it`s an incredible product, it`s 100%organic with a one ingredient list, compared to my Weleda which has a few other things in there. What I like about the Gamila Secret Oil more than the Weleda one, is that I can use it anywhere on my face, undereyes and neck, whereas the Weleda oil is too rich for my under eyes. I think I would repurchase, but probably I will get the Wild Rose Oil from Gamila Secret next. That one is richer and might work better for my 40+ skin in winter.
