   I use this in the white shade which is a sheer, pearlescent foundation which smells lovely making it very pleasant to use. It gives a very pale but not chalky effect once powdered over, letting my own skin-tone show through only more evenly. I use Yurily’s Ghost Town white lipstick as an undereye concealer and Laval’s white powder with this product for an overall pale look which works well. I battled for years with my very pale skin and rosy cheeks, trying to find makeup which would cover everything up but not make me look orange – most things I tried failed, or brought my sensitive skin out in a rash. This works perfectly and I now embrace my very pale, pink-toned complexion – I’ve learnt to use red or burgundy shades of lipstick and cool-toned eyeshadows which match my cheek colour rather than trying to cover it up. I hope they never stop making this!

   I have this in the white shade. I’m glad that it was available as I needed a white foundation and there were no others accessible to me.

   However, while this is a decent enough product, it was mostly thin and not buildable. If you put on multiple layers it turns quite “lumpy” on your face; you won’t be able to get multiple layers on smoothly. It also has a pretty strong talcum powder kind of scent – just a warning. I’m usually very good with scented makeup products and I can tolerate most scents that other people can’t, but even for me this was just a little too strong for my liking.

   I have this product in the plastic squeeze-tube and while I can praise it for being hygienic, the design is sadly quite cheap-looking. It is a cheap product, however, so you get what you pay for I guess.

   This would be decent for mixing with other foundations to achieve a lighter shade, but I wouldn’t recommend wearing this on its own, due to the factors I mentioned above about it not being buildable.

   This foundation(Laval) is in many shade.I am pale and the shades go light enough for me. In fact I don’t even use the lightest shade. (I use the shade fair and then I use another foundation on top that is yellow based.Since the laval collections one that is light but too red-pinky based for me. so instead I used a yellow based one( kleancolour in translucent beige sold at postie in New Zealand) and this yellow based one helps to hide my cheeks ( the red-pinky based colour makes them stand out more)

   Laval foundation:
   With Laval there is a white shade so anyone with light skin can use this foundation and the white shade can be mixed with another foundation to make the dark foundation lighter.

   * This foundation is a natural , light-meduim coverage that can be layered. its moisturizing (i have dry skin type)
   * This foundation is cheap. its 85ml and I live in New Zealand and buy it on ebay for anywhere from $4-$12. free shipping.

   I think this foundation suits someone with dry skin type, fair skin that struggles to find a light enough foundation or someone that wants a natural look with a glow,

   NOTE: I use this foundation with a sponge which I believe helps it make look more natural and moisturizing. I use Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman, Miracle Complexion sponge.I buy this off this site called iherb. Its much cheaper on iherb like $6 rather then like $17 off ebay. I have tried cheaper sponges off ebay and they not good at all.bad texture to them. while this Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman, Miracle Complexion sponge has a smooth soft spongy feel its amazing.Check out my other reviews as I will write a review on the sponge later on.
