(EDIT: APPLY IT UNDER MK TIMEWISE 3D EYECREAM. The 3D was working well on its own but when I added night cream, my eyes went from 30s to early 20s literally overnight.) This works SO well on retinol burns, dry patches, and cuticles. I have sensitive acne prone skin (that I treat with a cheap probiotic body wash I’ll mention at the end of the review) and a severe perfume allergy and I LOVE this product. It’s not at all hard and does NOT need to be warmed to be able to apply it. It also smells NOTHING like Vicks. I was shocked to discover it contains menthol since you can’t smell it at all. It also is NOT perfume-y. It has a scent but it’s very light. It’s not sugary and powdery like old lady perfume. It’s not fruity or floral. It’s just a soft, light, feminine scent that doesn’t bother my asthma at all (and my asthma is a massive pain when it comes to scents).
I recently messed up and seriously over applied retinol to my face. The surface of my skin was so dry and tight and peeling it actually hurt. My MK anti aging moisturizer took care of most of my face very quickly, but the area around my mouth was still awful. Last night I started slathering on the night cream, like every 15 minutes as it absorbed, and the sheets of dry skin loosened and fell off (gross). I piled night cream on over my usual night routine and woke to soft skin with just a small flake or two instead of the crocodile skin I’ve had lately. I slathered night cream on over my morning routine, and mixed some into my foundation this morning. It soaked right in and didn’t compromise my foundation at all (3 hours and counting). Right now I have skin like velvet.
My skin has yet to overreact or develop zits and by now it would’ve let me know if it was going to be fussy. I’m also not oily at all.
As for other uses, I rub
night cream generously into my hands and feet. It also makes a great sugar scrub for super dry areas.
Ok, now for the probiotic I use on my acne prone skin. It’s Vagisil pH Balancing wash. Yes, it’s an intimate wash, but I use it head to toe, and it’s amazing. My acne, which I’d had for 20 years and didn’t respond to ANYTHING, was gone in less than a week. My skin also isn’t oily anymore. It used to be dry and peeling AND so oily I could blot my face with a paper towel and it would be soaked through like I used it to drain a plate of bacon. I know probiotic skincare is popular right now but it’s a little expensive, so I thought I’d let y’all know about this cheaper alternative that works super well for me personally.

OMG this shit has both petrolatum and MENTHOL in it, not to mention it is a PINK (dyed) ointment. Yick.
I might use it as a cracked heel cream but there is no way in heck I would ever put this on my face. Ick.
Not for me.
That Menthol, though!!!!

I like this product but I can’t give it a higher rating because it’s main ingredient is petroleum. I was shocked to find this out because it works so well on the skin, Not the face! This cream is too thick and greasy to be used on the face. I have only used it on my skin in sever dry skin areas like my heels, knuckles and elbows. So sad this is a petroleum product because I will not be repurchasing it. FYI Petroleum Does Not add moisture to the skin. All it does is trap the moisture that is already there in.

I love this cult classic. In the morning I look like I woke up from sleeping on a cloud from heaven. It’s cheaper than the time wise repair or renew night creams which I love too but this is a cult classic. I use it when I have dry patches. I set my face and apply liberally to my wet face and let it sit dry before I hit the hay. gets rid of dry patches that easily. You don’t have to apply it like I do. I apply all my creams to a wet face.

Best for sunburned skin. If you put this on after to much sun you will not peel. I take it on vacation.

My mom gave me a sample bottle of this stuff, and I think it might have been an older one because the one I had was in an orange tube and not white. I should also point out that I have normal skin, not dry, and I can typically use just about anything on my face as my skin is not at all sensitive. I had issues with this product, and it might just be due to the fact that I don’t have the right skin type (very dry) to benefit from it.
I was really skeptical about this product from the moment I opened it. It has the consistency and scent of Vicks Vaporub, which made me think that anyone with sensitive skin would hate it (that’s probably why my mom couldn’t use it tbh), but since my skin is pretty tough I figured I wouldn’t have any problems. I used it on my face as well as on some dry patches on my elbows. I had a really hard time applying this stuff at first. Because it’s so thick it doesn’t melt onto the skin and spread around as well as other moisturizers, so I had to rub it between my hands for a few seconds to let the product melt before gently pressing it into my skin. Trying to rub it directly onto the skin would have just been irritating.
I WILL SAY that the next morning, my face was baby-soft, but my elbows appeared unaffected, which I thought was a little weird, but the fact that it worked for my face meant that I continued to use it.
I had no problems for the first couple of days, and then I tried to put on foundation. This moisturizer makes my foundation look HORRIBLE, dry and flaky especially on the nose and forehead. Over the past couple of days I’ve let my skin rest and used a different moisturizer, and when I went back to makeup this morning my foundation applied beautifully, which tells me the Mary Kay moisturizer was the source of the problem. Needless to say, I threw it out immediately afterwards.
I would say if you have very dry skin, it’s at least worth giving it a try, but if you have normal skin like me, don’t bother. It does more harm than good.

Thick emollient cream that is better suited to your hands or dry patches.
Not a fan of the scent and I would not recommend to anyone to use this on their face.
It is great used with satin hands but I have found much cheaper alternatives for what this product is.

Well it is in fact highly emollient and thick. The bright pink is very pretty but I would never put this anywhere near my face. The perfume in this product has to be so high on the ingredient list and it is def more of an old lady smell to me. I mused my sample on rough patches such as elbows and ankles and it was nice for that but still the smell was intense. Would not buy the full size.

My mother has used this on her dry skin as night cream and for her lips for years. Because i have the same skin she passed it on to me when i was 17. Now at 23 im still using this on my face and adore it!! I use it twice a week before bed and the extra oily cream feels like heaven on my super dry skin. Yes i am still young but when i compare my skin to my friends mine looks 10x better. Oh yea and my mom is 59 but everyone thinks she’s in her early 40s.

A little goes a long way and this tube will last you forever. Works great on dry patches and clears them up overnight. I would recommend it as long as you don’t have sensitive skin. I use this on my boyfriend and as a lip balm but that’s it. This product is highly perfumed and stings the crap out of my skin. I have eczema and this only irritates it and makes it worse. I made the mistake of using it around my eyes once and regretted it for the next 3 days. The skin around my eyes was puffy, wrinkly, and pink. Basically if you are looking for something for everyday dry patches or cracked feet or anything like that this is a miracle worker. But if you have sensitive skin and/or are sensitive to perfumes or just really really hate grandma smells, then I would run very far away. I’m keeping my review at 4 stars because this product definitely is great- just not for my particular skin.
