In all honesty, there isn’t much I am asking for in an eye makeup remover. I just want it to do what it claims…which is to EASILY and gently remove eye makeup without burning or stinging. I though this bliss one looked quite unusual. It isn’t normally this gel-like texture. I also like the packaging since it is one of those caps that twist and lock for easy transportation. This retails for $18 at Ulta for a 3.7 oz bottle.
When I pump product onto a cotton pad, I only need maybe a dime-sized amount for each eye. I do tend to wear heavy eye makeup. We’re talking eyeshadow, liquid eyeliner, and waterproof mascara. This product gets all of it with maybe 2 swipes per eye. It’s very impressive how easily it all comes off. I do notice a scent when I use this, and it smells kind of like a hair product. Some people may not like the way this smells, but it doesn’t bother me. I think this formula is excellent and find that this does what it claims without any burning or harshness. Good job bliss!

I have back up bottles of this eye make up remover in case it’s ever discontinued. It takes off everything easily without causing me to lose any eyelashes. It’s not oily, so it doesn’t aggravate or cause milia near my eye area, and if I make a make up error, I can immediately reapply makeup without blotting or running. A small amount goes a long way. Because it’s a gel, it stays put. I use either a thin pad or a q tip. I wear contacts and it does not sting or cause my eyesight to go blurry. I can even open my eyes when it’s on my eyelids and eye lashes. There is no scent or residue. Although I prefer not to use waterproof mascara, this easily removes benefit they’re real mascara, tinted primer, NYC curly mascara, Maybelline full n soft, Cover girl lash blast, tarte, eyedo black magic mascara, L’Oréal mascara and primer in the red and white tube. . . If I have a lot of mascara on, I let the remover rest on my lash line for a few seconds to break up the mascara and then wipe off gently by lightly wiggling a q tip along the lash line or using a wipe. There is no residue left. I don’t tug or rub.
Note: I used to love Almay oil free eye makeup remover pads, but in recent years, the pads seem much drier and less effective (they also sting slightly which they never used to do). So I have sometimes used the pads (so as not to waste whole containers) to apply the Bliss gel. They are the perfect size.

How do you tell a complete product from 100% cotton and real cotton (not just polyurethane or other synthetic blends)?
My product last a week with no visible ret-zone and is waterproof, gives off no small amount of contact resistance, absorbs bright but still doesn’t follow any makeup powders.

Yeah. Unfortunately, the 100% cotton makeup remover, moisturizer cream only contains two ingredients and with the Cinnabon drying agent you have to use a lot of that because the material is rigid (knitting fabric). But I’ve used it over the past year using it for 3-5 days without any visible ret-zone and I could see with some clinical results how it can apply such great. I just used it to correct my brown stains.
How do you tell my skin to turn orange when I spray my cream on the skin, or does the color change with wearing?
As a self-reported ‘orange sponge’ powder I’ve had this happen all the time. Just once per hour I spray only one side of my face. So my complexion does turn orange during the entire 5-10 mins I use the product. It has just about as much shampoo as I have needed as my hair is shampooed, so in between sprayings I have used 3 different brands (about 2 oz each) of this product. With more time and luck I could try it on the right face and fully grown it, even where I felt it was too long to use this cream. Also I love using redheads (aka whiteheads), but it’s pretty pointless when there is no DNA evidence that it works.
How do you tell a full product without the use of gel?

This has been my most reliable daily HG eye makeup remover in the last 1.5 years (can’t believe I forgot to write a review for it until now!).
First off, some background info: I have extremely sensitive skin that’s easily allergic to various skincare products, and I’ve had eyelash extensions for the last 1.5 years. I also wear the Nars eyes makeup primer and powder eyeshadow on a daily basis. I don’t use mascara anymore, and hardly use eyeliner because with lash extensions I don’t really need it.
Basically, once you get eyelash extensions, you MUST use an oil-free eye makeup remover and preferably oil-free eye makeup as well, or else your lash extensions will start coming off in a few days and there goes your money down the drain (quite literally, if you’re removing eye makeup above the bathroom sink).
Before getting lash extensions, I used to use the Lancome Bi-Facil eye makeup remover which was great, and I feel that the Bliss Lid + Lash Wash is almost as effective as the Lancome one, meaning with Lancome I can remove all eye makeup with 1 swipe of a cotton pad, and with Bliss I need maybe 2-3 swipes, but after that, everything is removed.
Also for lash extension wearers, it’s really important to keep the small gap between the false lash and eyelid clean, as makeup can be trapped there, so this Lid + Lash wash is perfect for that function as it does not sting.
As for the price, in Australia I can get this for about 22-25AUD and for 110mL, that’s really not expensive because you only need 2 very small pumps (1 for each eye – I fold a round cotton pad in half and use 1 pump for each corner on each eye) and 1 bottle can last me more than half a year. My only gripe is that the bottle being 110mL just tips it over the 100mL liquid per bottle requirement for carry-on-board restrictions on flights.
Some reviewers have said that this does not remove mascara effectively, and that’s probably true because you really need something stronger and oil-based for those products, but because I don’t use mascara or gel eyeliners, I haven’t personally tested that yet.

– Does not sting even when it accidentally gets into my eye

– Effective and not very expensive
– Pump is lockable and also allows you to control the amount dispensed

a decent remover to splurge, not a must have.
i was very drawn to Bliss brand for a period of time and so picked this up on a whim. back then i also needed a new makeup remover product so why not?
i paid $30 for this product (i don’t live in US) and i prefer wearing full faced makeup (eyeshadow, mascara, contour, highlight, blusher etc etc)
pros:
+ comes with a pump
+ gel based, suitable for oily skin types
+ quite gentle
+ does remove makeup like what it claims to do
cons:
– starts to sting your eye area if you put too much around your eye area
– doesn’t remove full faced makeup completely
– need to double cleanse
– pump doesn’t work as well overtime
– contains parabens
– expensive
since this is promoted more of an eye, lash and possibly lip remover (“lid + lash”) so i wasn’t expecting that it can remove my entire makeup.
as mentioned i prefer to wear full faced makeup, usually heavy on the eyes, and i found that while it can remove my eye makeup, it wasn’t able to remove everything completely. i wear waterproof eyeliner and it took about 2-3 cotton pads of this product to remove completely. sometimes it wouldn’t even budge and i have to tug my skin a lot harder to get it off.
meanwhile my Bifesta makeup removing wipes can remove my eye makeup within 2 swipes.
since this product will take a bit more longer to get it off for me, somedays i try to put a bit more product on the pad so that i can remove it faster. however my eye area will start to sting and burn. i never had this issue before so i was more let down.
after i managed to get the eye makeup off i found that i had to double cleanse as some of my waterproof mascara and liner could be seen even after using 2-3 pads with the product. usually for double cleansing i use my cleansing oil to remove.
the pump is not a precise pump and overtime it doesn’t work as well, or you’re not able to have full control of how much you want the product to come out. sometimes it squirts and i hate it.
before purchasing i didn’t read through the ingredients at first glance and i found out this product contains parabens which is a cause to skin and eye damage.
its been a few months and i am still trying to finish up as my local store does not provide refunds. overall i’m terribly disappointed.
i would give it a 2.5/5 instead of 2 lippies, because even though it wasn’t my HG, at the very least it did do its job in removing. however i will not repurchase nor recommend this product to anyone.

I stumbled upon a bottle of this stuff at Marshalls recently and decided to give it a go. Previously, I tried quite a few different eye makeup removers and had yet to find one I liked. They either stung my eyes, were oily leaving me with bleary vision, or they simply failed to remove all of my makeup. Suffice it to say, I was skeptical about this product, but the price was too good for me to pass up. Now, I am happy to say that I made the right choice. This product lives up to it’s non-oily claim, does not irritate or sting my eyes, and it quickly removed all traces of make-up. It’s hard to believe that I’ve finally found my HG eye makeup remover! I’m not sure how much this stuff normally costs since I found it marked down at Marshalls, but I would be willing to pay a decent amount to replace it, when I run out.

I love this eye makeup remover. I usually use Ponds to remove my foundation, but it never seems to get rid of all of my eyeliner and mascara and it just irritates my eyes. But this stuff removes the toughest eye makeup without any irritation! Plus the gel feels good. It’s kind of pricey, but it does a great job.

I really like this stuff! Non-oily, no discernible smell, takes off all my eye makeup and leaves no residue.
I would recommend only pumping out half onto one cotton round because you dont need one whole pump, its too much.

WOW is all I have to say to this very underrrated hidden gem of a product. I have tried many things from Bliss over the years and sadly they just gave me great results even though I loved the packaging/scents of the products. I dont wear foundation but a huge eye makeup person on a daily basis. In that I have been searching for the best remover out there probably since I was 16 lol. Ive gone from using bar soap, cleanser, cleansing oils, liquid, milks, wipes etc trying every option to easily remove eye make up nightly. For me something that works without having to use 50 cotton balls or pads, endless rubbing, and drying my lids out long term is ideal but relaly imposible to find. Know one likes having the dreaded 50 step skin care routine but as we all know finding an all in one product like a cleanser just ruined the eye area long run if used for makeup removal. I have been happy with my Dior Cleansing Milk for years which melts off my most longlasting eye liner and mascara yet stillw asnt satisfied as have to use tissues daily to wipe off dry. I randomly decided to try this Bliss gel remover when I spotted it at Ulta recently thinking what the hell as can easily be returned and was I ever blown away. I apply it on dry skin to break up all my eye makeup giving my that giant black blob lol and then shockingly when I add water I can effortlessly jsut wash it off in the sink. NO smudges, smears, marks, or black racoon under eyes left or need to follow with a cleanser or my cleansing milk. Perfectly clean eyes and I can jsut wash my face with cleanser and I am done. Can’t beleive it as this is all I have ever wanted in a remover and finalyl dont need to use tissue or cotton rounds or anything which has felt like such a waste over the years. For the little amount I need the $16 price for the smaller bottle isnt bad at all considering how much I have spent over the years. Figured the one prodcut I didnt try all these years is the one that works the best. I find this a huge dupe/50x better product that Dermalogica Soothing Eye Makeup Remover Gel. I used that one the same way and had to wash 3x to still be left with some smear and after using it 2 nights it left my lids so tight/dry it hurt. COuldnt beleive it considering its claims of being so soothing and for sensitive eyes, riiiiiight! Bliss’s however does what theirs claimed to do and cheaper. Don’t hesitate to try this, one of a kind! 🙂
