This smells great. To me, it smells less like straight-up grapefruit than a really nice French soap. But it’s just OK as a body lotion, especially for the price ($22 for 8.4 fl oz). It’s just not that moisturizing. If you really love the scent, this might be worth it to you. (I suspect the fragrance isn’t great for skin, but using unscented body products is so joyless.) For me, it just isn’t. I used up my sample, but I won’t be purchasing a full size.

I found this lotion is too light for winter use and does not keep my body moist and supply. I also have doubt using this as a hand lotion given it is a very light texture. The grapefruit scent is not what I expected as it doesn’t have that refreshing scent.

I love this lotion is summer. It’s got a light consistency (key for Mississippi summers) which soaks in well and has a lovely light scent which does not war with my ubiquitous rose scent, Stella. I use the Liquid Body Cleanser in Grapefruit also, and layering the two does intensify the scent. I buy the big bottle of lotion, and it lasts me a long time even though I use it daily. A great product.

Fortunately, I got to try this as a sample in an airline kit. It was fine as a hand lotion, but I also slathered the lotion on my arms (fine, refreshing) and neck. DANGER! The next morning, my neck was red, it looked like a sunburn, but I hadn’t been out in the sun at all (I was in airports, planes and hotels only). The inflammation did fade after I applied cortisone cream. So apparently, there is something in this cream which can be very irritating. And that is unusual for me, it is the very first time I’ve had this happen with my neck! In fact, my skin is not sensitive or allergenic generally, I’ve never had this sort of reaction before. So take care!
So be careful where you apply this. Don’t think it is safe for your whole body.

Great body lotion for the summer. I love the light grapefruit scent. the lotion itself is light and silky and absorbs quickly. my skin is so soft. this is great for the summer since it is lightweight and non sticky. In the winter, the creme de corps is the best for dry and flaky skin.

Maybe my bottle has gone off. I don’t know – the seal was intact when I bought it, so maybe it’s just old? My bottle of Kiehl’s grapefruit lotion smells kind of plastic-y and has a weird bleah perfume smell. It doesn’t sink in very well at all, so it leaves my skin feeling sticky…and it’s just a very disappointing product. I had hoped that it would have the same fragrance as the shower gel, but it’s not the case…

While the fragrance is wonderful, it did not make any dramatic improvement on my skin. In fact, it was on the same level as some nicer drug-store brands. It wasn’t overly greasy, and absorbed well into the skin, but it did not live up to all that hype. It would be suitable for normal skin. If you have dry skin, it’s not rich enough. I will save some money, and stick to the dermatologist-recommended drug store brands. It smells really nice, though.

This was my all-time favorite lotion for years. Fantastic soothing formula, makes skin softer then ANYTHING I have ever tried, great fresh, clean scent…..
but as I have gotten older and my skin has gotten drier, this is not enough moisture…
I also had to stop spending the 26.50 on each bottle that I would go through in a month….

This is a great body lotion. Although it’s called “Hand and Body” lotion, I prefer something heavier for my hands. As an after-shower mosterizer for the limbs, it’s not too heavy and not too light. The grapefruit scent is very subtle, which I appreciate.
