Actually this is not 100% pure as there are Preservatives in it because aloe gel goes bad really fast. BUT I really love that aubrey organics uses only natural preservatives.
My really oily and sensetive skin really likes the gel. I feel that it’s not really that moisturizing as many people say but it does benefit my skin by calming it down when it’s irritated. I also use it after shaving because my skin is really irritated afterwards and it really helps, my skin is no longer itchy after shaving.
However, I use it after cleansing and before moisturizing my face and that works really well for me. I like that aubrey also sells little spray-things for the bottle, because it is really liquidy and not gel-like at all. But I found that the longer the aloe gel is in contact with oxigen the more liquid it gets and that is totally natural. Actually the gel-like aloe gels are not naturally like that.

first of all this is not called 100% aloe vera gel! this is called pure aloe vera. it doesn’t say it’s a gel at all.
I bought this because I read somewhere it’s good for scalp especially for psoriasis. I’ve only used it once so far but I can gladly say that it did a very good job. it calmed down my rash immediately and it didn’t seem to make my scalp oily.
some people have mentioned alcohol smell but my bottle does not have that at all.
I can’t wait to try it on my facial skin and hopefully it will perform just as well.

I’ve been using this product for 2-3 months now (on one bottle, I’m in the last 1/4 of the bottle now). I purchased it because I have oily, acne-prone skin with a lot of hyperpigmentation (pretty much every blemish I get scars).
I will say that it has helped to fade away some scarring (scarring takes a long time to heal so I’m being patient) and I’ve also noticed that the tone and luminosity of my skin has improved. My skin tone (aside from blemished areas) is more even and brighter. I don’t think it’s helped much with acne but it helps to calm my skin and close up my pores after cleansing so I’m sure that that has helped with my acne, even if the difference is minor.
I’ll update again once my skin has stayed relatively clear for a while to let you know if this clears up the rest of my scarring (I just went through a lot to get my skin clear and it’s been working and slowly clearing me up).

OMG. This stuff is amazing! I wish it was more advertised!!! My skin was really red and irritated for weeks and acne showed up -something I barely ever have normally. So I thought give Aloe a try. This stuff is MUCH better than I expected! After the very first night I used it, I could see a dramatic difference in my skin the next morning! This product: gets rid of all REDNESS, also all PORES look smaller and clear! Clear of all chemical junk and buildup. My skin looks HEALTHY and RADIANT. I truly didn`t expect all this from a $7 product. It has barely any ingredients and works like a miracle. Also the grapefruit extract in it has high vitamin C, and that helps with collagen. So right now, really, I use it every night instead of a night cream, and my skin has never been happier. I will try to replace my daily moisturizer with this one later. But for sure, at night, this is all I will be using!

It’s not a gel, it’s liquid, but it’s absolutely lovely. I love to use it as a moisturizer every morning after cleaning my skin with rose water. My skin is smooth and soft and beautiful all day long!! I have oily skin that is becoming very dry because of age and the wind where I live. I also have very sensitive skin, so store products (even the most expensive ones) either irritate my skin, leave it too dry or make it very oily. AO aloe vera is the perfect all natural moisturizer. I keep it in the fridge because it does not have strong preservatives. It’s worth every penny because it does not have alcohol in it and does not dry out your skin.

I did not expect this product to be watery, I thought it would be a gel-like consistency. Because of that, it was a little difficult to incorporate into my skincare routine. But it worked well as an alternative to adding water into making my clay masks.

SKIN: This is my holy grail skin product. I tried my roommate’s supply of this just once and when I woke up the next morning my skin had improved in texture drastically. I’m the type of person that has had daily skin troubles, often 3-4 new zits every day just on my face, not to mention my chest, back and shoulders. Here are products/regimens I have tried but have not worked as well as this aloe vera:
– benzoyl peroxide treatments
– Proactive (useless for me)
– Acne.org “Regimen”
– dry brushing
– Oxy 10
– Noxema
– Oil Cleansing Method
– essential oils
– Neutrogena acne wash
– Clean & Clear’s entire freaking line
– Natural soap
– Various oils
– Conventional aloe vera gel (Fruit of the Earth)
I immediately ordered this product online (less than $6 on Vitacost) and since receiving my own supply, I haven’t worn foundation or my usual tinted moisturizer or spot coverup besides my undereye circles. I apply this twice a day after cleansing and let me tell you, my skin has never looked this good or been this consistently clear. I wake up feeling confident, liking my skin for the first time since I was a little girl. I’m not waking up with new spots. SERIOUSLY. I went to the beach for a week and wore bronzer, mascara and a little undereye coverup. That has never happened for me. I’ve gotten so many compliments and the healing that happened for my existing acne is faster than any other product or regimen I’ve tried. I usually don’t take the time to review a product but I had to. If you have skin issues, you’ve gotta get this (best of all, no chemicals!!! say what).
HAIR: I use this on my long curly hair (think Felicity/Shakira) and it’s given it great definition. I use with a bit of argan oil. Highly recommend. It feels like you’re just putting water on your hair but when it dries, it’s shiny with a light bounce. Also got a lot of hair compliments since using.

My use for this aloe vera gel is far from cosmetic but it has proved a real Godsend for my condition.
I suffer from Vaginal atrophy and have spent the last year in severe discomfort! A homeopath recommended this to me and it has brought blissful relief to a very tender area! Can’t praise it highly enough and am sure it is equally as good for many irritating skin conditions.

This aloe is more of a liquid, since it’s 99% pure & does not contain fillers like many aloe gels on the market. This is just aloe and vitamins C & E as a preservative. You do need to store it in the fridge after opening. I use this on my scalp with a drop or two of rosemary essential oil to help with hair shedding. I also take this on beach trips, since despite sunblock & the best intentions, sometimes I get a slight burn. Dabbing some of this on with a cotton ball before bed really makes a difference by morning. I have gone through several bottle of this aloe and will continue to buy. I usually get it online (iherb.com, vitacost.com) for $7 for 4 ounces.
