I am soo soo happy that I can review Oribe products here! A little “Vendetta” for my damaged hair and my pocket.
So my hair is soft, prone to be dry and frizzed. Someone recommend me to try Oribe, that it is super luxury high end brand that solves everything, you will see also a lot of bloggers write about it, some websites shows super good reviews,.. their ingredients seemed healthy. The smells is ok, nothing I would call incredibly good smelling product as a lot of people reviewed. The price is high- I bought 8 products for about 600USD:
1. The Line for Beautiful Color (shampoo and mask): Is ok, not changes. Definitely did not help even little with dry or Frizz hair, did not see any difference after using and do not see point in long term.
2. cream for frizz hair: did not help with frizzed hair (and no my hair is not that bad), it made my hair feel heavy, then greasy… the mask is not that bad (but still bad for the promises and price) and you will use a lot of it for one application.
3. The shampoo for so much shine and silky hair: First time trying it it seemed to do the work, after couple of times, not at all. It actually dry my hair and my hair became frizzy.
4. The Signature line: didnt do anything promissed, but did not make it worse too (wow!)
5. Dry spray really dried my hair but thats ok, because all dry sprays are kind of same and they just make your hair really dry and after night sleeping with it you will experience a big frizzy day.
6. styling wax: my boyfriend is very practical, but I wanted some high end for him… Well this styling wax is 3times expensive than his and does not hold the hair.
Do not wonder, why Oribe is expensive, because you will make yourself wrinkles. You better do not believe brand, that is based on youtube scammer’s reviews who are payed or gifted for it. I realize everyone has different opinion, but in my opinion, this brand is about fake advertisement, otherwise I can not explain so amazing reviews vs what it delivers in reality.

I have short, colored, layered hair: sort of wash and go-ish. I have a terrible time with shampoos/conditioners because they give me sensitive spots on my scalp. And I don’t use styling products so for me, it’s all about the shampoo. I love this: not too drying, but cleansing. And the tiniest amount works for me. It’s what shampoo USED to be before silicones were in the top ingredients.
The price is really ridiculous, though…

I feel sort of foolish dishing out the significant dough I did for this. Nothing really going on in this bottle that justifies its near $40 price tag. In fact, my hair was left rather greasy. At least the smell isn’t overwhelming. I just don’t think I’ll be venturing down the Oribe road again.

Saks Fifth Avenue is evil. I got a free sample of this product. I don’t color treat my hair, but I thought why not try this shampoo. I love this shampoo! It leaves my hair clean, it works like a clarifying shampoo and strips all the crude of the day from my hair. I am super oily and normally by the end of the day, my hair will be greasy. This shampoo did not make my hair oily. It was also super manageable and bouncy. Amazing! But when I saw the price, holy moly, no thank you. So if you can afford this product, go for it. But for me, I will stick with Redken.

I’m very underwhelmed. I don’t think there is anything at all remarkable about this product. For the price I guess I was expecting magic….

I use this when I want to look my very very best, as I know it will make my hair shiny, soft, and healthy looking. Pleasing packaging, as well, not that I’m big on that.

Love! Love! Love! I received a few samples in my Birchbox and loved how thick and creamy this shampoo is. A little goes a long way and it smells amazing. I sprang for full size and love it. The bottle is a little crappy for the price but not a big deal.

I am so in love with this shampoo! I recently got a slightly odd dye job on my hair (somewhat against my will, because it was for filming purposes) and I was told I needed to maintain the color. I first tried the Joico Color Endure shampoo and it worked great until one day it started to dry out my hair. I remember that on set and in makeup the stylist used almost exclusively Oribe products and they also used this shampoo when they originally dyed my hair so I figured I would give it a try. I was so amazed, my hair instantly felt healthier after just one wash (I also use the matching conditioner which is great as well). It was silky and shiny and the smell is heavenly. It’s a bit on the pricey side but this is a GOOD shampoo so I think it was worth it. I highly recommend.

Why does an expensive, highly touted shampoo for color treated hair have sulfates? That is the question I should have asked myself before I plunked down $30+ on it. It fades my light coppery color treated hair. If you don’t care about fading and money is not your concern, the smell is nice and since it has sulfates, it lathers nicely.

I have fallen in absolute love with Oribe products, though it started with hair styling/finishing products. I got a GENEROUS amount of samples of these shampoo/cond combo, and I have to say I am immensely impressed. My hair is fine textured, medium thickness, and was recently bleached out and dyed. It was feeling extremely dry, and I am used to my hair feeling like silk. I have always had slightly oily roots and assumed one use of this would weigh my hair down and make it SUPER oily, as most color shampoos do (as they’re meant to hydrate and repair, usually). After one use, my hair transformed. It felt AMAZING! It was soft again, but fluffy and not at all oily! I’ve now been using this over the last week and a half and feel comfortable enough to say that I really do love it! I feel that as my hair repairs more, I might switch to a more lightweight shampoo (as it may become too heavy over time when my hair is at it’s virign-like state), like the volume or ultra gentle, but one thing is certain, I will be sticking with Oribe. Never before has EVERY single styling product live up to its claims and never before have I immediately seen and been excited about the results of a shampoo/conditioner. I used to use Living Proof, Kerastase, and some Bb for styling, but Oribe has slowly taken over all of them… I’d say Kerastase was actually the biggest disappointment for price. Good products, but not great, and I expect great at that price point. Oribe is priced just under Kerastase (some products in the same price range), but DELIVERS at that price range. As an added bonus, Oribe products smell absolutely divine, and the smell stays. Nothing else smells like them, and I quite love it. It’s a smell I can just associate with clean, beautiful hair.
