I have enough hair on my head for two normal women. It is crazy thick. It is fine. It is frizz prone. It grows on the head of a woman who lives in the deeply humid South and who hates hairdryers. My hair has often been an issue for me. I happened upon an article talking about porosity and looked for a shampoo/conditioner that would help this, since it seemed to describe my hair issues. Hask Keratin Shampoo and Conditioner fit the bill, and was on sale at Walgreens. My hair has never, ever, never been better. It is smooth. It is silky. It falls into a silky looking lob with out mushrooming at the ends. I can wash/condition my hair, towel dry it, rub in a little salt spray at the roots and go to bed with wet hair. In the morning, instead of a nightmarish rat’s nest, all I have to do is run a brush through it and sometimes run a straightner over the ends. I can’t rave about this enough. It’s been a total game-changer.

The worst shampoo. My hair became dry and distrusting. Definitely do not buy.

First off I dislike the scent, it smells terrible.
It cleansed my hair ok but did feel like there was something left when rinsing out, which I did not mind too much because I feel like this may be what was helping my hair to not be so frizzy.
After drying my hair I could not feel any residue or build up.I only felt like there was something when rinsing.
Combined with the matching conditioner these worked pretty well on my hair.
It did help with frizz but did not eliminate it.
My hair was smoother and this shampoo was not as irritating to my scalp.
If it weren’t for the price and terrible scent I would buy this again.
I would consider using the conditioner without the shampoo if it were on sale.

I’m really impressed by Hask hair products, this is one of best shampoo I’ve ever used. My hair hasn’t looked that healthy for a long long time. The fizzy hair is all gone even in a high humidity weather and I think it’s because the shampoo gives a bit of weight to the hair. I was able to cut it shorter (just below my shoulder) without any issues. Back in the old time, I always had to keep it long so it add weights to the hair.
The only down side is I have to wash my hair everyday as it’s a little greasy to use in the summer time. I think it does better in the fall.

I bought this shampoo for my thick, curly hair because several hairstylists have recommended keratin treatments to make my hair more manageable, which I am not willing to do. I also love using Hask’s Charcoal Purifying Shampoo to remove product and color build-up once a week. However, the Keratin Protein Smoothing Shampoo just left a heavy coat of something strange on my hair which made my curls look awful and it felt like I needed to use the purifying shampoo to get it out as the weird build-up got worse and worse after a few days of using it. I figured this shampoo must be for thin, straight hair to give it body, so I gave it to my mother to try as she has that hair type but she also disliked it and said it weighed her hair down. I have no idea who would benefit from this shampoo and am surprised it is a Hask product. At least it was cheap so it didn’t kill me to toss it.

I bought my Hask Keratin Protein shampoo for just under $5 at Walmart. I have thick, wavy, elbow-length hair that is prone to breakage at the ends. I used the shampoo and Keratin Protein conditioner.
Tbh, I didn’t have a lot of faith in this product. I just thought it smelled nice and needed to switch to something besides H&S. After my shower, I sat in front of the tv preparing to detangle the mane with my hands and there were barely any tangles at all. I imagined the time I applied too much coconut oil and thought, ‘here we go again,’ but that wasn’t the case at all. My hair dried silky. I ran my fingers through my hair and my scalp felt baby soft. Also, my splits were far less noticeable except on the very ends. I LOVE this! Later in the day, I smelled a light floral scent and realized that it was my own hair. Yay! The smoothness and scent lasted me nearly 2 days before my hair started to frizz back to normal from sweat and dust.
I typically wash my hair once or twice a week unless I’ve done a dirty job or sweat a lot. With this shampoo, I’d gladly wash my hair tub side on the daily. My hair looks and feels amazingly soft, like I’ve had a deep treatment. I usually can’t even run my fingers through my hair without getting knots before I reach the nape of my neck. With H&S, I’d get small dandruff flakes as soon as my hair dried, so this clean soft feeling is to die for. This and my Olay 7 Signs body wash have earned my loyalty. I can’t get over the price Hask charges, just under $5. I might go stock up before the ingredients change, which is something I rarely ever feel the need to do.

This was an accidental find for my hair- it’s been incredible. I know everyone’s hair is different and mine just responds really well to this. The shampoo lathers easily and washes out quickly leaving no residue. I have always used to this with the conditioner that goes with it and the combination for me has been stellar. My hair feels moisturized, soft and healthy. The price is a tiny bit higher than the usual shampoo at the drugstore, but it performs beautifully and it doesn’t take a lot. For me, this is a winner.

USD$7.99 at drugstore. I just needed to get a break from the argan oil shampoos I’ve been using, so I turned to this as I love the Hask brand argan oil shampoo/conditioner. This was the worst shampoo I’ve ever used: 1) the scent is very, very strong. 2) it weighed down my hair turning it into an oil slick all over my scalp. 3) My hair fell out in chunks – I could pull literally fistfuls of hair and began to have noticeably thinning spots. 4) I developed scalp acne ALL OVER my head. This all happened with me just using it for about a week. Never, ever have I had such traumatic experience with a hair product. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
