Finally!
A shampoo without SLS for seborrheic dermatitis! It does have ALS, but my scalp is fine with that.
The shampoo smells like menthol and I dont understand why they would put it in a shampoo, as it is a potential irritant for the “dry and itchy” scalp it says it is for.
When I use this, I first wash with Fructis Nordic Volume shampoo (ALS-based) before rinsing and letting the keracare sit for 5 minutes while I shave/wash/sing.
The result is clean non-waxy hair. (I think fellow SD-sufferers will know what I mean, SD is more than oily, its this waxy heavy feeling on the scalp)
And no itching, its like my scalp is relieved.

Since I was a child I recall have seborrheic dermatitis. I am now 32 years old and gotten to a point that I was really fed up with my inflamed itchy and at times tender scalp. I tried so many remedies and shampoos to treat my seborrheic dermatitis but none of them ever helped. For a period of time during my teenage years (during the late 90’s) my mother was paying for me to get my hair done by a hair beautician every couple of months. Every time she would wash my hair she would use this shampoo and my scalp would be “perfect” for at least a good week and eventually I bought some to use at home in between seeing her. But eventually I stopped using it (I have no idea why).
Fast forward to January 2016 I was researching anti-dandruff shampoos and this one came up in my searches. I checked out the ingredients and they are amazing (besides that the shampoo has sulfates). This shampoo has 1 % pyrithione zinc and a bunch of other natural ingredients that really really calms and soothes the seborrheic dermatitis for a while.
When I first used this again in 2016 I followed the directions which is apply to wet hair and gently lather with fingertips. Rinse and repeat. Leave on for 5 minutes and rinse.
My scalp was instantly normal. No extreme itchy scalp, no flaking, no smelly scalp and no more over production of scalp oil (sebum). Everything calmed down immediately. I was in heaven. And since I have been using this shampoo (once a week), I have had NO scalp flare-ups for two months now.
Going forward when I use it. I saturate only my scalp and either cover my ends with a conditioner to protect them from the sulfates unless I feel they need thoroughly cleaned also.
My only cons about this shampoo is the color (it’s an opaque blue). Wish they would get rid of the dye and get rid of the sulfates they use. But won’t stop me from buying it for now. My scalp has not gone this long with feeling normal for years.

I used this years ago, but stopped. I’ve been battling an itchy scalp for a few weeks and finally made my way to a beauty supply store to pick up some. It’s a little pricey at about $14/bottle and was the same price as Paul Mitchell Tea Tree.
It works perfectly and just as we’ll as I remembered. I put 1oz of shampoo in an applicator bottle with 2 oz of aloe vera juice and shake to mix.
I part my hair into 6-8 sections, wet a section and use the applicator bottle to apply the mixture to my scalp and scrub like normal. Once I’ve finished, I wait five minutes as directed. I wash the length of my hair with my normal shampoo while I’m waiting and do a final rinse before it’s on to conditioning.

A few years ago my scalp would always itch. At the time, I didn’t know I had a tea allergy so I would drink tea and my scalp would itch up a storm. It would itch even after I washed it. After months of itching, a beautician tried the keracare. The itching ceased immediately. Now, if I don’t use the shampoo, my scalp starts back itching. I have substituted Nizoral, Head and Shoulders, and other tea tree itch relief shampoos and this one is the only one that consistently works.

My stylist recommended this shampoo to me when I was having issues with dandruff. This shampoo has a minty smell and it makes your scalp tingle when you massage into your hair. It helps relieve the itchiness in my scalp and it also kept the dandruff away. This is a good product if you have problems with dandruff or itchy scalp.

I have found the absolute best anti-dandruff shampoo. It relieves dry itchy scalp, moisturizes and detangles. It does all this and still leaves my hair well conditioned and not at all dry and hard feeling. When I use this, I do not develop “snow on the shoulders” as soon as I would without it. I will definitely continue to use this line of products.
