Just got into this shampoo (and the conditioner) for my dry hair. Sad tho when I finally found something that my hair seems to like, that Ojon have ceased trading. No more Ojon products. I wrote to the manufacturers and it was confirmed that it was true. Darn!

This is my everyday shampoo since I started to grow my hair out 4 months ago.
My hair is now barely below my ears as I’m growing out a VERY SHORT Mia Farrowesque pixie cut (I did not even have a long fringe!). In theory, this type of shampoo should not work with my hair type – I have very fine, weavy hair, virgin, greasy by the scalp but very dry at the ends. This is a shampoo for dry, coarse hair.
I like to wash my hair every day and then style it with a hot air of a hairdryer and a round barrels brush, otherwise it lays flat, plastered to my skull (somehow I also manage to end up with lots of flyaways at the same time!) which is not a very attractive look when one already has quite a substantial nose!
I would have never got this shampoo were it for my mum who was staying with us over Christmas last year and was complaining that all our shampoos were too harsh and stripping for her dyed, dry, thick hair. So next time she was coming I went to Boots and got a miniature shampoo and conditioner for her to use while she was visiting.
She left with her very own full sized bottle but one day I tried the remains in the sample bottle and was hooked instantly!
This shampoo lathers wonderfully but it is not stripping at all! It does not make hair ‘squeaky clean’ but it is definitely well cleansed – I can sometimes go on for a second day with a few sprays of a dry shampoo – and the scalp is also gently cleansed with this. I usually do not have much time on the mornings when I wash my hair so I skip conditioner all together and this shampoo is perfectly enough for my hair. I do not have any problem with tangles, hair has shine and softens but not greasy. It is also weighted down enough so that dreaded flyaway are not happening. The product smells beautifully and delicately, unlike many other shampoos on the market. I believe it is fragranced with some sweet, vanilla-flowery scent but it is very subtle indeed.
It comes in a very convenient bottle (no way of loosing a top of this one!), I have it in a traditional size of 250 ml and for the last 4 months barely made a dent in it – I reckon I used 1/3 of the bottle which for the price it is (£21) makes it a very good value for money for an expensive shampoo. A miniature version of this (£10 so not such a good value at all) lasted me for approx. 5-7 washes.
My husband who has delicate, very curly hair and problems with dry, itchy scalp is also using it from time to time and it soothes his flakes and does not cause any more itchiness.
There is a version of this shampoo for thin hair but I have not tried it yet – I’ve had volumising shampoo from Ojon (I have reviewed it already) and was not impressed. This one is a very different story. This one I will definitely repurchase.

Almost at the bottom of my 1000 ml pump bottle of this and had to find a dealer for the product. Sephora in Victoria didn’t have it on their website but I was lucky to find it at Murale which is a division of Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada, so I ordered on line. A 250 ml bottle is $27.00, not cheap, where the 1000 ml from the Shopping Channel was between $50.00 -$60.00 as part of a bundle. I use it between other brands of shampoo, for variety. The smell is nice and leaves my wavy hair feeling soft and manageable.

While this is very smoothing, it lacks the moisturizing abilities I need. Luckily my hair air dried soft. I don’t really care for the scent but it does eventually fade. I scored this in a introductory box for five bucks at Ulta. It came with a sample of the matching conditioner and three samples of the Rare blend oils which I will review later. It does clean my hair well and doesn’t make my scalp itch. It does seem to give great shine when paired with the matching conditioner. I don’t think I would repurchase the shampoo and conditioner. Maybe I will have better luck with the hair oils.

Very nice product. Was quite surprised how well it worked along with the conditioner. However, did not have much luck with their oils or leave-in.

I love this shampoo. I purchased to use for dark, color-treated hair and it helps preserve my semi-permanent color and gloss. It takes the tiniest little bit to shampoo my fine, shoulder length hair and the next day, my hair stays cleaner longer. I love it!!! It’s expensive, but lasts for such a long time. It’s my favorite shampoo, hands down. Nothing I’ve tried from mass retailers compares, as they all seem to have so much filler.

Love this along with the rest of the line. I wish I could use it every time I washed my hair forever but this is not student budget friendly. I do recommend this though!

This product is great for my hair. An all natural hair product for someone like me (recently went from bleach blonde to brunette, long, medium damaged hair). I like this because when I dyed my hair six months ago to brunette from the such light color, I needed to wash my hair less to reverse some damage. This gets my hair really clean. As a Sephora employee, I am very sure that this is one of the best products on the market. I have yet to try the conditioner, but this keeps my hair cleaner longer and shiner and healthier overall. I also like this paired with Aussie 3 minute miracle and Aquage silk spray therapy (little 1.0 oz bottle you spray on for one minute and rinse.) Anyways, great product for truly damaged hair, do not over use and use twice a week. Also rotate shampoo and conditioners so your hair never adjusts to what the product is designed to do. Worth a splurge try.

This shampoo and conditioner are amazing on my hair. I have lots of hair and it’s frizzy all the time. This shampoo and conditioner together smooth out my hair and make it really soft. HOWEVER, it’s massively expensive. I got them on a freebie at Boots; there was an unbelievable offer where you handed in an old shampoo bottle and got a full sized shampoo and conditioner. I got up this morning and literally spent 1 minute smoothing with my irons, whereas normally it’d take a good 15 minutes and that’d be doing my whole hair. I did plait my damp hair before I slept last night, which may well have smoothed it down a bit.
Anyway. I would buy again, but realistically I’m not going to, only because it’s so expensive – £42 for both shampoo and conditioner and that’s insane. If they were super-size bottles I’d do it, but they’re just standard 250ml bottles each.

Although it’s not color-treated, my hair is coarse, thick, and dry.The Ojon Restorative Shampoo makes it feel silky soft. I can’t stop touching my hair. My hair also looks smoother and less frizzy. It’s more expensive than I’d like to pay for a shampoo, but I feel it’s worth it to take better care of my hair. I use it with the Restorative Conditioner.
