Update: This does not lather at all and I just could not put up with that. It also made my hair feel dirty the next day so I ended up tossing it. Disappointed in this.
I have fine 2A hair in a bob length. This shampoo cleanses very gently and leaves my hair feeling not stripped, detangled, and ready for the next step. I don’t get much scent with this shampoo at all. There is a slight citrus scent but it is very fleeting. Cons are that it does take a ton of product for result. I like the tube it comes in. It does seem to enhance my waves.

I bought this shampoo because I wanted to try it. I hoped it will reduce the frizz.
The shampoo is ok. smells like grapefruit and cleans the hair, but do not detangle the hair.
I thought that it will be betetr in combination with the conditioner. bu it get worse.
I will review also the conditioner.
I am not gonna buy this product if I ran out.

Literally one of the worst shampoos I’ve used. It left my 2AB/BSL/fine but abundant/dry hair literally in knots! And so stripped feeling. 👎👎

I purchased the small size for $6.00 just to try it out. I really like this shampoo but I agree the name is a little deceiving. Worked great on my 2b curls but did not detangle at all.. Left my hair very clean and shiny and I probably would buy again.

I guess I’m in the minority that likes this product! I do find the name misleading as this is not really detangling at all but this is a nice gentle sulfate free shampoo. I have 2B waves and this works well for me. It’s not really moisturizing but I don’t find it drying either.
The PM Curls line originally did not have a rinse out conditioner (but did have a leave in). They have added a rinse out conditioner (Spring Loaded Frizz Fighting Conditioner) and I find it works well with the shampoo. I include this bit of info because the lack of conditioner was one of the main criticisms of the line.

A coworker, who is a Paul Mitchell educator, gave me this product to test out on my tight wave/loose curl hair. I’m glad it was free, because if I’d paid for this product I’d have been pretty unhappy.
The shampoo cleans really well. Maybe too well. My hair was squeaky clean, uncomfortably so, and so tangled when I was finished washing that I had to carefully pick out even my bangs.
The packaging was fine. Not awesome, not terrible. It smells great. I really wanted to like it, but it wasn’t right for me. It also made me super flaky. Some products seem to have that effect on me, and I’m still trying to nail down what ingredient(s?) are causing it.
I think it would probably be better for someone with a much different curl pattern than mine, and a less picky scalp.

Cleanses well but it’s not detangling at all, nor is it moisturizing. The tube is too much for the amount of product that needs to be used, and it becomes hard to squeeze out way before the tube is almost empty. This smells nice and it removes dirt and build-up, but I want more for my money.
