I love this shampoo because it manages to keep my blonde relatively clean without the need for those purple shampoos that tend to always be too pigmented and catch unevenly. Also lovely creamy consistency, nice smell and lathers well. I really noticed what this did for my hair when I switched to an OUAI shampoo for bounce/smooth, but noticed that suddenly my hair was heading towards a yellow shade. Went back to Blonde Idol and my hair is back to fresh. Excellent excellent shampoo, can’t see myself ever changing.

This shampoo might be sulphate free, but it stripped my hair of all natural oils and made my scalp itch like hell. I got the same results from this, as I get from any regular sulphate based drugstore shampoo.

I freaking love this shampoo. I’m a colour treated blonde (natural dark blonde/mousy brown) with fine straight hair. I’ve been using drugstore shampoo for a really long time because it was so habitual for me. I’ve never even considered high end shampoos because I thought the prices were unjustified. My problem was, I would wash my hair, blow dry it or let it dry naturally, and it’s amazing and soft. Then I would go to bed, and the next morning my hair felt dry, snappy and frizzy. My hairdresser suggested this to me, and alas I found it on sale. And let me tell you, it fixed ALL my problems.
First thought: FINALLY A SHAMPOO FOR BLONDES THAT ISNT PURPLE!
Second thought: Rich, beautiful lather.
Third thought: Sulfate free- extra points.
I use this once or twice a week, and use a clarifying shampoo once a week (I train 5 times a week and am a sweat ball). I also use Redken anti snap treatment with every wash. I feel like my hair is literally saying thank you. It’s so much softer, shinier, manageable, and hydrated. No longer shall I neglect my strands. This shampoo is a big yes from me!

I love this shampoo! It makes my blonde hair with highlights just so soft looking and clean. My color has never looked better. Smells and lathers like a dream. He status for me

I don’t quite get this shampoo. It cleans well and makes my hair feel very soft and gives a slight second day hair weight to it which I love. If I don’t wash my hair the day after I use this, the second day, I wake up with a slightly greasy yet matte film on my hair. It also then smells off like, and I hate saying this, tallow does in some low end soaps. Not done an ingredient search on this shampoo yet because I’m afraid to. ULTA had their liter sale this past January and it was as if locust had swept through the entire store vacating it of all it’s shampoo EXCEPT this one! Maybe that should have been a warning to me! Giving this a three because I do like the lack of sulfates, the great scent and rich lather and the nice look and workability my hair has that first day of wear. I’m glad I only paid around $12 for this because when I’m done using it I will make a note not to buy it again. EDIT 7/21/15 Lowering this down to a 2. I’ve been a big fan of Redken shampoos since 2010. I could go for three days without washing my hair and it still looked and smelled and felt clean on day three. This shampoo only keep my hair looking clean for ONE day and then that weird matted filmy look starts. It also SMELLS LIKE TALLOW, which is animal fat, that you can noticeably smell in cheaper bar soaps. Yes, I had to repeat those facts again cause it’s upsetting. I had a similar problem with a sulphate free shampoo from Sexy Concepts that I purchased recently so I’m wondering if the sulphate free shampoo technologies need to be worked on some more. I’m really concerned now about the Redken line, as a rep at Ulta said that Redken has been changing some of their shampoo formulas. I don’t want to have to fork out a bunch of money and waste gas with returns in trying to find something that works. So in short this shampoo is not worth recommending IMO except that it smells good and is sulphate free.

This shampoo is a god send for me, makes my hair look super healthy and hydrated and it makes my highlights look amazing. I love the smell of this product and the way it makes my hair feel once it’s dry. The only thing I’ve noticed is I feel like my hair gets greasier faster when I use this shampoo. Other than that I love this shampoo and will definitely repurchase!

Tried on recommendation from my salon after becoming a first-time single process blonde. I like that ingredients list is not only sulfate-free, but that the shampoo doesn’t contain the silicones that tend to weigh down my fine texture, build up on my hair, and aggravate my sensitive scalp. Many famous sulfate-free shampoo lines are LOADED with silicones. Was impressed after first-time use!! Made my hair soft, shiny, and manageable, rinsed clean without that stripped feeling, and at this price point (about $14 for a nice-sized bottle), it’s a winner all-around. I wash with it every other day, and use a cleansing conditioner on days in between. This replaces Blonde Glam in the line. . .if you were a fan of BG’s scent, this shampoo doesn’t have that vanilla-spicy fragrance–in fact, I would say it’s almost fragrance-free. But the shampoo’s other benefits far outweigh the lack of scent.

This shampoo is way better than Redken’s Blonde Glam. My hair feels soft and moisturized even before I use conditioner. I think this might be the best Redken shampoo yet, even better than All Soft.

Since Redken is replacing their blonde glam shampoo, I decided to try the new Blonde idol. It’s a white very creamy shampoo with a great smell! It smells very fruity, and my hair feels clean, but also very soft after washing it. One thing I immediately noticed, was that my hair looked lighter, even when it was still wet.
I’ve only used it once, but I must say I’m impressed, it’s a good shampoo, and it works well on my hair.
