I have been using baby shampoo exclusively to wash my aging combination skin for a year now. It is fabulous. I use the Wal Mart store brand and have the happiest skin I have had in a while. No dryness, burning, irritation.

Works great as a clarifying shampoo and less harsh than the likes of Neutrogena and others that are marketed as clarifying shampoos. I use it once or twice a week depending on how much stuff I got built up in my hair. Lathers well, rinses away clean and leaves hair fresh without residue. The review below that states it works for removing hard to remove mascara is spot on. It really helps remove hard to remove eye makeup and it does it in a few seconds and works better than my oil cleansers and makeup removers. I always have two bottles of this, one for backup. Cheap and effective.

this stuff is absolutely crucial for controlling my dry eye ocular rosacea. Hot water and baby shampoo twice a day or my eyes start to hurt and get terribly dry.

PLEASE PLEASE give this stuff a try as an eye makeup cleanser!! Just try it! I absolutely despise having to take off my mascara with cotton pads and makeup remover lotion, no matter what lotion I use or how absurdly gentle I am I always lose lashes, it takes a stupidly long time and most of all it just BORES me to death. I hated it so much to the point I wasn’t even wearing mascara every day just to avoid it.
Until I tried using this. Wow. I just wet my face, my eyes with warm water until the mascara is mostly melted and then wash my eyes and lashes for like 10 seconds with this and no matter how heavy my makeup is it disappears completely with this and it doesn’t irritate me or make my eyes red. Made taking my mascara off from a horrible drudgery to an irrelevant 20 seconds ritual. I’m sold.

Sigh. This cleans gently but thoroughly, makes my hair super soft and shiny, and doesn’t aggravate the seb derm on my scalp, but it irritates the skin everywhere else on my body. From making my face itch and giving me acne to causing a massive, painful flare up of the eczema on my body. I haven’t reacted to any product like this before. I would recommend this still, but just look out for any irritation that pops up.

Works really well as a shampoo for adults. I am pleased with it. It cleaned my hair without the drying effects. I use this in rotation with my moisturizing shampoo to remove any buildup and it works great. I am also going to start using it for my makeup brushes and beauty blender as well.

As others have noted, Johnson’s baby shampoo is invaluable if you suffer from blepharitis! Simply apply a very warm, wet washcloth to your eyes, twice each day, and then scrub your lashline with a cotton swab dipped in this amazing shampoo. This treatment cleared me right up within two days, and I plan to use it consistently. If you’re dealing with this aggravating issue as well, one bottle will last you forever!

I bought this solely as a face wash because its cheap and you can find it anywhere.
Unfortunately, it was too drying for me skin – immediately after washing my face with this my face was scaly and all the moisture was sucked right out!
I will keep it to remove makeup from my brushes.

Works better than most face washes without over-drying.

I bought this on a whim to clean my makeup brushes and I’m super glad I tried it. It gets all of makeup and oil out of my brushes and leaves them as soft as the first time I bought them. It smells nice too and is wildly inexpensive. I bought a tiny bottle and I use it two to three times a week and I still have a lot of product left.
Today I used it to remove some waterproof eye makeup and I was so surprised at how easily the shampoo removed it. I am so glad because I’ve got products in my stash I never touched because I don’t like the hassle associated with waterproof makeup.
I’ll repurchase this stuff forever!

Only thing it’s good for is cleaning makeup brushes. Was using it to wash my eye makeup off, but it left my right eye irritated with a red bump underneath. Looks weird :/ but it is very good for cleaning my brushes, just won’t put it anywhere near my face
gutturalBoars2
My main use for this is to clean my makeup brushes. Best ever. Super gentle on the bristles and does a decent job rinsing all the build up out of them without ruining their quality. Definitely great for my uses!

Perfect as a gentle tear free eye makeup remover. Easily removes waterproof makeup. Also removes milia around the eyes eliminating trip to dermatologist or poking your eye area with needles!

I have blepharitis from ocular rosacea, and my doctor told me to use this (diluted) twice a day with a washcloth to scrub my eyelids.
So far, I really like it. My existing infections have cleared up. This product is extremely gentle. It is a little drying, but the price is right; I cannot, at this point, justify spending $20+ on Ocusoft or Sterilid.

I have been using this to wash my Beauty Blender and other similar blending sponges. It does an awesome job, is gentle and is so inexpensive.

This is the review about johnson head to toe wash.i discovered it accidently as a nice and cheap face wash.i use it while mixing it with a bit of cocunut oil or neem oil and then i rub my face with this mixture in upward circular motion.after a minute i rinse it with water.i dont makes my face dry as all other cleansers do.i generally remove my makeup with it and than it with my homemad oatmeal scrub containing oats, coffee and mixture of some oils.
My face feels super smooth and my yearly old cystic acne scars are getting less visible.

This makes a great facial cleanser. My skin is dry, so I dilute it half and half with distilled water. It’s effective and extra gentle.

Smells very nice and leaves my daughter’s fine hair soft and detangled without sacrificing body. It is gentle on her hair and doesn’t irritate her scalp which is so important to me. All I need is a light detangler after and she is good to go.

The best smelling baby shampoo around. Every time my son finishes his bath he smells like a bundle of stars on a clear night.

This shampoo prevents tangling, leave my hair so shiny and smell like a baby

I started using this after seeing a girl use it on YouTube to shower in! She said she washed her face with it too. And that was it, I was sold. So I use baby oil to cleanse face & baby shampoo to wash it and use the shampoo to shower in or as bubble bath. Oh and to clean make up brushes. I had an ex boyfriend who use it to wash his hair! Amazing, cheap, won’t break you out or irritate you. I can hands down swear I’ll never use any other combo to clean my face. Try it, you have nothing to lose x

People do NOT waste your money on expensive cleaners for your makeup brushes and sponges – this works like a dream! It is the FASTEST and EASIEST way to remove all traces of makeup from your tools and is super affordable too. I started to find that some of the other cleaners were making the bristles of my brushes start to become brittle which is horrifying when you consider how much of an investment we make in these tools. After reading reviews I decided to give J&J Baby Shampoo a try and am I ever thankful to my fellow reviewers as this has transformed not only my brushes and sponges but decreased the amount of time spent cleaning them. The shampoo is gentle yet effective, and must be somewhat conditioning/hydrating because when I am finished even my hands do not feel dry or dehydrated. One trick I have discovered that speeds up the cleaning routine is to pour a tiny amount of shampoo into the bottom of a bar soap travel container (one that has ridges in it for drying/air circulation), wet the brush, dip into the shampoo and swirl around inside the travel container. The raised ridges help scrub the makeup out of the brush and then it’s just a quick rinse and set aside to dry. I rest mine on a microfibre cloth which unlike a regular towel, allows the water to evaporate faster. When cleaning makeup sponges, I simply soak the sponge in water, pour a tiny amount of shampoo on the sponge and massage it in with my fingers. You will see the makeup pull out of the sponge and drop into your sink right before your eyes. Rinse well and voila! I wash my sponges frequently but if you have a lot of buildup, you might need to repeat the shampoo to get it clean. An added bonus is that a large bottle of this shampoo is only a few dollars and lasts a long time. Highly recommend this over any other brush/sponge cleanser. For those in between brush cleanings where you need to quickly use it again I do recommend the It Cosmetics “It’s your brush love” spray – just not for a true deep cleaning.

This is so ridiculously effective at deep cleaning makeup brushes. It also doesn’t dry out the bristles in natural fiber brushes. I was amazed at how much better this worked than any of my other “real” makeup brush cleaning solutions.
Seeing how the baby shampoo made the caked in makeup literally melt right out of my brushes, and seeing how it’s supposedly gentle enough for a baby’s eyes, I decided what the heck and tried it as a face wash for removing stubborn eye makeup. Every other proper “makeup removing” face wash I’ve used has been mediocre at best at removing eye makeup and usually pretty irritating and drying. The baby shampoo was like magic. It took off all of my makeup so easily, and it didn’t irritate my skin at all. Left my skin as clean and soft as a baby’s butt, pun intended. It smells kinda funky but I’m going to let that slide because it’s cheap as sin. I love this stuff!

Makes a great brush cleaner for M/U brushes. It’s been around for decades to wash babies also.
Was given a BIG-ass bottle at my baby shower – DD is now a big kid and the bottle is gone. I don’t really use it anymore as it leaves her hair very dry. The main reason to use this is on newborns and young babies b/c is claims to not irritate their eyes. On an older babies try J&J or L’oreal Kids ‘poos which have more conditioners.
I am uncertain as to whether or not J&J tests on animals, but I would suspect that they DO – as ALL big pharmaceutical companies do. This product has been around for DECADES and is fine to use on a very young baby. That being said, I don’t use it anymore for my toddler. She can use “big-girl” products now.

This stuff basically cured my acne! When I looked up reviews on MUA, others had the same experiences, and I knew I wasn’t the only one that got these amazing results from just baby shampoo.. I would have never guessed! It all started one day when I ran out of my normal face wash and my mom had a couple travel size bottles around of baby shampoo so I decided to use it, because what the hell, it was just baby shampoo. The first thing I noticed is that it removed my eye makeup better than anything I have ever tried before, and was so gentle on my skin. It left it really soft, and I continued using it for the whole week.
From age 12-18, I used to have VERY acne prone skin, as in 2-3 new pimples on both my cheeks every single week. It was rare for me to not at least have one spot, I always had blemishes. As soon as one went away, another one popped up, and when I didn’t have pimples, I had angry scars and hyper pigmentation. Needless to say, it was a mess, until I found this stuff. Guys, I have been using this for two months and I have not had ONE SINGLE ZIT SINCE USING IT!!! I can’t even begin to describe how amazing this is. And I know it’s been this stuff that’s helping me because I only use this face wash and Cerave face lotion, no more BP treatments, no more salicylic acid, just this. The one time I did break out was when I stopped using it for a couple days and used a salicylic acid face wash, and BAM, zit. Once I started using this again, I was in the clear.
I will keep repurchasing this forever and ever, I also use this to clean my makeup brushes and to remove all my makeup. It’s the best skincare product I have ever used.

I’m writing this review as a brush cleaner.
I absolutely love this stuff!! Amazing and cheap! I’ve tried using other brush cleaners and nothing compares! It gets makeup out of your brushes that you didn’t even know was there! It’s not harsh at all, and leaves my brushes super soft! Can’t say enough how much I love this product!
I haven’t used it as a makeup remover on my face, but I use baby oil for that.
