Does not lather at all, which makes it hard to distribute evenly. Leaves my hair tangled when wet. My hair feels limp and dirty after drying.

This is a bare bones but sufficient shampoo if you need something cheap that is sulfate free, fragrance free, non-toxic and non-drying. I used it with my Redken conditioner and had no issues with breakage. Some hair products dry out my scalp but I had no problems with this stuff. It’s not very sudsy, but that’s too be expected for a sulfate free shampoo. I probably won’t buy this again, but only because I don’t enjoy using it. I usually tend towards fragrance free products, but with shampoo I like a little personality!

This used to be a great budget fragrance-free shampoo, which are difficult, now impossible, to find. I used this for years and I had thick, shiny, happy, healthy hair. No more! They changed the formula on this when they changed the packaging labels last year and it is disgusting crap that made my hair tangle and shed like crazy. The clumps of hair that collected in the drain after shampooing with this stuff was scary. It is still cheap though. One lippie for that because maybe it works for someone else’s hair. Just not mine.

Having had a bad experience with the Normal/Oily version of this shampoo, I decided to try the Dry/Normal version in the hopes that it would be gentler and suit my hair better. Unfortunately, I had pretty much the same results with this: an irritated scalp and dry, unhealthy-looking, poofy hair that broke and fell out at an alarming rate. Because I really wanted to have success with this cheap, natural line, I tried each shampoo both by itself and with the fragrance free conditioner. Not even putting coconut oil in my hair as a leave-in helped with the damage. Suffice it to say, I was not happy with the results of this product line.
