This was my favourite exfoliator and I can’t find it anywhere (location Norway) anymore. It smells awesome, fresh, clean. The pearls are really small and very effective. If you’re too hard I think they might scrape your skin. Just like I want it! I’ve now switched to Kiehls Micro Dermabrasion, and love that one too, so even if this got back, I don’t think I’d make the switch back, just because of the price.

Ive been using this for a month and i cant see the difference its supposed to make. I don’t think my skin is getting whiter or clearer because of this. Its a shame because this is expensive

Save your money – here’s what I think is a much better alternative, made by a company called Om She Aromatherapy (Australia). It’s called Red Rice Exfoliating Powder at costs $20 for 50g, comes in a salt shaker type container and the product is dry – you mix it with water to form a creamy, milky, effective but gentle scrubby paste.
I like L’Occitane and I wanted this to knock my socks off..and in a lot of ways it’s good.
Pros:
– Excellent packaging with plastic squishy tube with twist lid that opens a little hole from which the product squeezes out. Great for in the shower, no mess and no fiddling with lids.
– Feels good using it
– smells nice.
– skin is not red or sensitized after using it, actually quite calming in skin.
Cons:
– At $50 for a small tube, it’s not exactly cheap.
– Leaves a strange almost waxy feel on the face afterwards – I feel like I need to use toner or something afterwards almost
– Can’t really see or feel a great deal of difference after using. It’s nice enough but for the price (and for this brand) I expected something more.
As I have run out of my usual exfoliators used in shower, I have broken open this little treat I had forgotten that I owned. I will keep using it every 2nd day, as I do with exfoliators, to see if continued use makes a difference. So far, nothing to write home about.
The immediate feeling I got from using this is that it reminded me of using rice bran scrubs – it has the same texture and the same sort of milky appearance. So for that, I think go with the Om She Aromatherapy brand – you can get in Priceline in Australia. And the Om She version has no fillers or added nasties. It contains red rice vinegar and lemon oil amongst other things. Check it out here:
The Om- She exfoliator leaves my skin uber silky and soft, it looks luminous and purified, any angry red spots or patchy skin is gone – I have beautiful smooth brightened skin like a Japanese geisha after using this! And it feels lovely after rinsing, no tightness, no waxy or oily feeling, nothing but soft smooth skin.
NB: posted review also under Om She Aromatherapy Red Rice Exfoliating Powder.
– Not really that effective – feels a bit scrubby, but nothing to rave about.

if you have dry and sensitive skin but would like to exfoliate your dull skin, this is definitely the type of face scrub you would love! it brightens up your skin but at the same time leaving ur skin smooth, soft and hydrated! love this so much and will purchase again in future! 🙂

last week i went to do facial extraction whch has caused bad scarring afterwards. the pimples did go away but not the scar.ive been doin some googling to search for a reliable exfoliant tht can help to clear my skin up from e acne scars. i bought this exfoliator after reading reviews on it.this exfoliator works well on my super sensitive/blemish-prone skin w/o causin any irritation/inflammation unlike other scrubs that ive used b4 whch normally would lead to burning sensation after rubbing my face.the clear, smooth n brightened effects r pretty much immediate after the first application and my acne scars do fade too.I am simply lovin it!

Hmm, does the tube have a new look? I thought mine looks long and lean………
These days, the only facial skincare I still spend big bucks on is scrubs. I’ve found really nice cleanser and moisturizer that’s fairly cheap, but after that whole “my face is seriously hurt by sugar” incident, I have yet to find a facial scrub that suits my face and is reasonably priced. (Sugar works really well on my body though)
So I bought this and the Angelica facial scrub at the beginning of this month, I think. I prefer this one, and I actually really like it, which is not a good thing because of how expensive this is (You only get 75ml of product!!!)
It has a really pleasant smell (The Angelica one somehow smells like grass, not a bad smell, but I always feel kinda weird rubbing it all over my face), the scrubbies in it are just the right size and amount (The Angelica one has round scrubbies and is a lot more gentle, in fact, you probably don’t feel like you exfoliate your face much, which can be a good thing for extremely sensitive skin) The product kinda turns into some sort of white milky liquid on contact with water, so you know you can easily wash it off. It makes your skin incredibly soft (Which is something I fail to notice when I use the Angelica one), but not too tight (But I guess this one is a bit more drying than the Angelica one, so don’t use it too often)
I will have to buy it again if I can’t find anything better and cheaper, obviously. I think using scrubs regularly makes a huge difference in the appearance of my skin, so, money well spent, I guess.

Good product.

I really, really like this whole line and this scrub. I have pretty sensitive skin and my face does get a tad red after use. The product has fine particles that really do exfoliate – in my opinion it does not feel like more gentle exfoliators like Prescriptives or Revive. I think for someone with sensitive skin this product may be too harsh to use more than twice a week. It really leaves my skin glowing and smooth.

This is a very gentle scrub that seems to work for so many of us with sensitive skin. It has never irritated mine – though it gave me a couple of whiteheads – but neither has it improved my skin. The biggest turn-off for me was the greasy film it left on my face – I wish this didn’t try to moisturize. Also, I’m not happy with the strong smell of this line. The lid design is super efficient, really protecting the product in the bathroom. If you are looking for an extremely gentle scrub, it is worth a try I guess. Ahava’s Dead Sea mud delivers much better results for way less on my skin.

I have extremely sensitive skin with rosacea and I’m reluctant to try new exfoliators. However, I’m also not willing to take myself out of the game and never exfoliate my face just because it’s sensitive. I got a sample of this from L’occitane and tried it. With one use I noticed a huge difference. My skin was as smooth as glass, very soft, and looked brighter. Best of all there was no irritation or redness whatsoever!!! Finally! I just bought a tube from skinstore.com using a 20% off code. I’m very happy with this product.
