This primer is a pastel blue creme. Very lightweight in texture. Smooths on easily without feeling too silicone-y. Even feels hydrating like a moisturizer but without a greasy or slick finish. Seems like I need more of this to cover my face than other primers. Feels really nice but I’m not completely sold.

I decided I needed to include more anti-oxidants on my skin during the daytime than my sunscreen provides. I don’t use serums or moisturizers in the daytime because they don’t work well with my sunscreen, and I can’t stand layers of products on my face. I’m still too naturally oily, even in a dry climate, to tolerate moisturizer under foundation, so I’ve settled for just my sunscreen for years. I was attracted to the interesting ingredients in Water Cloud, particularly the Scenedesmus Rubescens Extract and the Alteromonas Ferment Extract. Water Cloud is not heavy, even though its name connotes Florida-style humidity. It doesn’t cause me to breakout, and it works with my EltaMD Sunscreen and my foundation. I can’t stand layers of product on my face, so I always skipped primer. When this one came along, I read about its unique texture and I figured it couldn’t hurt to try it. It feels refreshing, adds light moisture (but not greasy or slimy) and it feels more like a gel than a typical siliconey primer. However, I double I’ll be interested in applying yet one more layer to my face for very long.
UPDATE: I took off one lippie because I’ve gone through this tube so fast. This is not very concentrated so it seems I need a lot more than most other products to cover my face and neck. I started using it as a night cream because the extra layer in the morning got old super fast. Me being able to wear sunscreen, primer, and makeup, and not look like I’m wearing a disguise, is chancy at best.
