Found this while searching for a primer with mineral (not chemical) SPF. Product is a thick white creme, but spreads nicely and smoothly. Silicone-y feel to it. Sturdy packaging with a clear frosted glass body and white plastic cap and pump. The formula is a bit thick for the pump though; I think a squeeze tube would have been more appropriate. No weird scent and no weird white cast unless I apply too much or have dry patches. Feels nice on my skin and seems to help the next layer (if I wear one) of TM or foundation go on easily as well.

I bought this more for the sunscreen benefits rather than primer, but it does do a great job at both. My skin is protected and my makeup looks better than usually at the end of the day. I absolutely love the super silky feel of it and the extremely minimal white cast. If you like the hourglass mineral primer then this is a good one to try out as if it feels and acts the exact same!

I love this stuff; it’s my holy grail for sunscreen. It goes on beautifully and wears beautifully, and there’s no tint (a positive for me). There’s a slight white cast, but dissimilar from other non-tinted mineral sunscreen products. It seems to sink in quickly. I’m suffering from a perioral dermatitis breakout right now and also deal with rosacea, and it doesn’t aggravate either of those. I like it slightly better than the similar mousse products (tinted and untinted) that Coola makes. My biggest complaint about this is the packaging: WHY? It makes no sense. I’d love to see this in an airless pump and with a higher SPF for summertime. Until then, I’ll keep purchasing it and wearing it every day. The price tag is a little steep, in my opinion.

The Coola Daydream Mineral SPF 30 Makeup Primer Sunscreen applies like a dream over hydrated skin and does a great job leaving a nice matte canvas for foundation and makeup. This primer does have a slight white cast but once foundation is applied over it this is camouflaged quite well. I love a good two in one product, and this makes using sunscreen just as easy as applying your normal makeup primer and leaves no good excuse for not using sunscreen. This definitely extends the wear time of foundation by at least two or three hours. My other thoughts using this is that it reminds me a lot of the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer. The texture and application of it is quite similar. The Coola Daydream Primer isn’t cheap, but it is more affordable than the full size Hourglass Veil Primer. Plus, the Coola Daydream Primer is an SPF of 30 while the Hourglass Veil Primer is an SPF of 15. My video review and swatches can be seen here: w

I’m often outside and had settled for thick sunscreen as “primer” to control shine and set my sheer-to-medium foundation… until stumbling onto this gem in a sunscreen sample bag. OMG! It felt like putting a cloud on my face and kept my makeup matte, so I immediately purchased the full size without flinching at the $42 price tag. (For comparison, I’m faithful to a $7 drugstore foundation with no SPF.)
I have sensitive and oily fair skin and I haven’t reacted or burned while using this over the last three months, so it’s been worth every penny to me. It also just feels so luxe that I look forward to putting it on.
