Here’s the first review for Voo Doo Makeup which I cannot believe since it’s sold on QVC. The most amazing concealer I have ever used so I suppose there is some magic involved. TOTALLY and I mean TOTALLY knocks out the darkness under my eyes as well as the more difficult sides of the bridge of my nose and as those who are getting up there know, that is the most aging part. It is a corrector and concealer which does its job in a flash with the most natural result. The thinnest layer is required and there is absolutely NO CREASING. The product is made from coconut and it requires a different application. It is hard and dry in the case but as it was demonstrated, you swirl the back part of the brush (not the bristles) in the product to warm it and pick it up, put it on your hand and dip the brush from there. Two magnificent swipes later and you stop getting depressed about not being able to afford surgical intervention. For reference I plunked down a load of cash on – Cle de Peau, Nars Radient, Bobbi Brown, It Cosmetics (3 types), Becca (2 types) and Bare Escentuals and while they all had their good points none of them comes close to this. The product comes in 3 shades and as I am fair/neutral I got the light. It has a soft peach tone. Sells for $32. and worth its weight in gold. I wish I could buy stock in the company.

I don’t remember where I read about this brand, but it apparently is from a makeup artist in New Orleans. It’s supposedly all natural without harmful chemicals. Not why I bought it — I am just desperate for a good under eye corrector for my aging eyes. This one is not bad but not perfect. I think it has a coconut oil base so it is quite thick. You are supposed to use the hard end of your brush to move some to the back of your hand and then smoosh it around to warm it up. Applying with a thick, tight bristle brush in dabbing motions is recommended. I find it applies well without looking crepey or cakey as long as my under eye is well moisturized first. I have in light, which is rather pink but is a pretty good color match for my NC15 complexion. I usually don’t need more concealer on top, but it lays nicely underneath when I do apply some. The company has it featured on their website, but I recommend buying from QVC because then you get a nice brush too. Liking this one!
Edit: After using this for only about 2 weeks, the cap hinge broke. It was never dropped and has been stored without jostling in my makeup caddy. I continue to like the product, but it is very irritating to have this happen when a lot still remains.
