I’m on my second bottle of this stuff! I spray this on before I apply my foundation! I enjoy using this as it gives the skin a dewy and radiant finish! This product also has a really nice coconuty smell to it!

I had been using my Makeup Revolution Primer Water and was disappointed with it’s performance. During the winter I like to use priming sprays because they’re supposed to continuously moisturize my skin, but I found the MUR one quite dry.
This one is great. I’ll update if I break out, but using it this morning underneath my makeup made my skin glow, and not a single flaky dry patch could be seen. It smells sort of like cinnamon hearts, which I don’t mind but some people might. All in all, this beats out several more expensive primers, even in extreme canadian winters.

I absolutely love this. I have super dry skin and this always helped to keep the chalky at bay. It always felt super comfortable and kept my makeup in place. I consider the Hard Candy setting sprays to be on par with Urban Decay. I’m pretty sure they’re a deliberate dips of them.

This stuff is really good and I wasn’t expecting it! I’ve been looking for an alternative for my beloved Pixi hydrating mist and this does the trick. I use it before and after makeup to give a bit of staying power, but mostly to give a dewy glow to the skin. It looks very natural and pretty after powder because it softly melts the powder more into the skin, but doesn’t make you look too sweaty/oily (unless you already are oily). I love misting this right before applying highlight because it really helps the highlight to pop and really look skin-like and smooth. The packaging is great and the nozzle produces a very fine mist.

This is my secret weapon when my skin is feeling especially dry. I already bought a backup as I expect I’ll be using it a lot this winter. I originally bought this in the summer…I don’t know why I thought I needed a hydrating spray in the summer, I think Emily Noel recommended it in a couple of her videos. At that time, although I was always sweaty everyday, I enjoyed using it after days at the beach when my skin was feeling a bit parched from sun and salt water. Its main ingredients are coconut water, glycerin, and aloe. It feels like an instant drink for your skin and any dryness or tightness is immediately soothed. It’s alcohol and oil free which is amazing. I’ll be honest I’ve never used this as an actual primer…and rarely as a setting spray unless I’m feeling excessively dry after doing my makeup. It leaves a really, REALLY dewy finish on me…which I kind of love but perhaps a bit too shiny. My skin is combo though and I’m prone to shine…if you have truly dry skin this may absorb without a trace for all I know. I love this mainly because it’s a way of adding extra moisture to my skin when I’m already wearing “my face” for the day and unable to apply more of my regular moisturizer…or if I’m having a lazy day at home I can do a random spritzing whenever I feel dry. I would never carry this with me because I learned my lesson this summer…the bottle leaks and it’s super sticky when it does. Even the new bottle I bought that’s still in its packaging is showing signs of leakage. I can see oilier people finding this too sticky…as it sometimes feels sticky on my oily eyelids if I get it on my closed eyes…and as I said, there’s a bit of a shine factor. But I like it…dare I say, NEED it…and will continue to use and repurchase because it feels SO GOOD! And now that winters coming I may actually start using it as a primer under makeup

To a certain extent this is a much less expensive dupe of the Too Faced 3-in-1 HangoveRX Primer & Setting Spray. It is free of oil, silicone and alcohol; can be used as a primer, a setting spray, or to refresh your makeup throughout the day. The coconut water infused spray is super hydrating and I like how it keeps my skin looking healthy, a real bonus for us dry-skin types. I am super impressed with this primer mist and have been using it daily since purchasing a week ago. I often will rotate through my products depending on how my skin is feeling, what mood I’m in, etc. but I absolutely love this primer. The mister is not that great so I transferred it into a travel size spray bottle and I have not experienced any clogging or harsh sprays so far, just a fine mist that provides a beautiful glow under my foundation. It does not form large droplets and my skin is prepped and ready for foundation in seconds. I haven’t used this as a setting spray or to refresh my skin as it provides a good amount of hydration that I’m not feeling or looking dry as I sometimes can later in the day. Good job Hard Candy! I will repurchase again.

Sticky…
This primer left a really sticky residue on my skin. I don’t think I would mind it so much in the winter when it’s colder out…but definitely not right now (summer).
I like that it doesn’t contain alcohol, silicone and is oil free.
The spray could be improved. It doesn’t give a light even mist….the primer comes out in huge water droplets onto the face. I have to use my hands to pat it in and smooth it out.
Wouldn’t purchase again.

Okay so I used this in rosarito as a setting spray (I have oily skin btw) and it is sticky at first but after you spray it just do a light light amount of powder to combat the stickiness. It made my skin look super flawless allllll night! Dancing, everything ! I even fell asleep in it and woke up and my makeup looked super bomb. The only thing is that I’m not sure if it broke me out. Either a way give it a try ????????♀️
Update: Repurchased this and I still love it, also don’t believe that it’s broken me out 🙂

Skin Type – Maturing, Normal – Dry.
I bought this on recommendation of Youtube vlogger either Angie from Hot and Flashy or Emily Noel (can’t remember).
I don’t use it as as a primer but as a hydrating spritzer on my face or over my makeup (as one would with a Mac Fix Plus)
I am now half-way through my first bottle and I will repurchase.
A brief summary of my hydrating spritzer past. I used to live in HK where humidity is between 80-90%.
– Caroline Hirons (queen of skincare) talks a lot about a lot of hydrating spritzers and the Clinique Moisture Surge face mist one was one of her recommendations, I bought it , wasn’t that impressed and did not re-purchase.
– The Tacha Dewy Skin Mist gets a lot of flak especially for the alcohol in it. But I loved it. Did not repurchase because frankly the alcohol in it is a worry for my maturing, normal-dry skin.
– Heritage Rose Water spritzer. Yeah, nice, whatever. Once the ‘water’ evaporates your face feels dry.
Fast Forward to when we moved to Seattle, USA, in the middle of winter which means Central heating !!!
On above mentioned Youtubers recommendations I bought the Hard Candy mist.
This keeps my face hydrated much longer than the above mentioned spritzers. I don’t get that tight stretchy feeling.
I most often use it after my skincare, over my Neutrogena Multivitamin moisturiser. The Neutrogena feels dry on my skin within an hour so I spritz over that to combat that feeling.
I also use it over my Biore Aqua SPF cream ( that too dries me out).
Point to note – it gives you a definite shiny look. I DO NEED to powder down those areas. It’s oil free but has a oil-like sheen so beware especially on textured skin. It also leaves a light tacky feel to the skin where I have been over generous with the spraying. But I don’t mind it.

I absolutely love this! I’ve found success using this as a light moisturizer when I don’t wear make up at all and as a setting spray to dewy up my powders and foundation to make it look like skin again. I only find it works for me with the most minimal of sprays as too much can easily turn my face into a grease ball. But when applied correctly, for me this is fantastic! A great dupe for Mac Fix + at a fraction of the cost. The smell isn’t the best but it dissipates fairly quickly. The nozzle is wonderful for a drug store mister. I spray it upwards and kinda place my face looking up, under the spray as it falls. Perfection! It also enhances the wear time of my make up when I spray it minimally. Any more than just enough and it causes faster breakdown of the make up but the great mister makes it easy to get the perfect application every time in my experience. Water, Glycerin and Coconut Water are the first three ingredients in this hydrating elixir of wonderment. It makes sense since using this spray gives such a marvelous shot of hydration. In the winter, this is a staple for me. It also works well when sprayed on my eczema on the body…it really does help fade the redness and nourish the inflamed skin. I highly recommend this for folk with dry or combo skin…oily skinned folk may find this to be too much moisture and be more problematic than beneficial.

At first I was amazed how great it looked, but then realized it was literally like spraying sugar water on my face. It was very sticky and didn’t dry completely ever. It was like a sugary sticky oil on my face. Won’t be buying again.

EDIT 5/10/18:
I’ve really learned how to use this properly and get my use out of it. Instead of using it as a setting spray, I use it as skincare. I use benzoyl peroxide everyday and it has made my skin very dry, so I use a heavy duty Garnier moisturizer and spray just a tiny bit of this on top of it and pat it in. Haven’t had any dry flakes or anything since using this combo. I also use it as a primer now, since my skin has been dry I prefer sticky dewy primers over pore filling primers (though often times I use both). It’s still a beautiful dewy setting spray if you need something for that purpose, but I find using it that way to be too expensive because I use a ton of setting spray. If you need an affordable hydrating facial mist, this is seriously worth it, and it actually hydrates. It’s amazing, and totally worth the value now that I’ve figured out its worth 🙂

The perfect dewy setting spray. It leaves your skin way more dewy than tatcha luminous dewy skin mist and the nyx dewy setting spray (which makes no difference than the matte one.) Yes, it never fully dries down, but it’s worth having a little bit of a sticky face for the beautiful finish it gives. It can turn even a super matte foundation into glowy awesomeness.
I don’t like using this as a primer as it doesn’t do enough “smoothing” for me, but as a setting spray it’s everything I’ve ever wanted.
The only thing I’m gonna complain about is the price. I run out of small size setting sprays within two weeks because I have to use a lot of them. Even if I conserve it, I’ll still run out in less than a month. And for hard candy, which is a super affordable brand, paying 8 or 9 bucks every few weeks just seems a little silly. Especially when you’re on a major budget like I am, they could seriously have a much bigger bottle than 2.2 ounces.

I was hoping this would be a dupe for the Smashbox Primer Water which is amazing as a primer and setting spray. This Hard Candy one has cheaper packaging design as it’s very inexpensive. I used this on top of the Hard Candy Priming Serum which I was also testing out at the time and even after a few minutes my face was left very sticky and tacky as if this never fully dried. It, however, created such a smooth canvas for my foundation and everything blended flawlessly. I can see this working for all skin types as a primer since it also doesn’t leave me feeling greasy but can’t see this being good as a setting spray since it would probably leave your makeup very sticky. As with any priming spray a separate product to control shine and reduce the size of pores is needed. I wouldn’t call this a dupe for the Smashbox water but for the price it isn’t bad.

Too oily for me to use as a primer or setting spray. I was shocked at the oily residue it left on my face, i wasn’t expecting that, lol. I use AHA and BHA exfoliators and often my skin is flaky with dry patches after a treatment. This resolves the dryness and makes an amazing night moisturizer, I apply with a cotton ball before bed and wake up with baby soft skin!
