This works better as a primer than a moisturiser. It leaves behind a slightly blurring, slightly dry but tacky finish that helps makeup grip to it, if that’s what you like. I personally felt it made my skin feel too dry and made makeup tug too much. It will also ball up if you rub it too much. On the plus side, it has an amazing sweet rosey scent. I haven’t tried it out as a mask, but I don’t like this product as a moisturiser or a primer, so I might as well use it up!

I love Pixi products, but this one is just OK. Don’t get me wrong; I like it. It’s just that I was expecting it to work a bit like Clarins Flash Balm, but it doesn’t tighten or brighten or do much of anything really. It’s just a basic face cream that smells good. Like really, really good. Like Lancome Mille et Une Roses good. If it were cheaper (it costs $24 for 45 ml), I’d buy it for the scent alone. (Fragrance isn’t skincare, I know, I know. But I’m a sucker for rose.) Love the pretty pink tube with the rose gold writing and Pixi-green cap. But I probably won’t repurchase.

This is a nice, soothing moisturiser with a pleasant scent, but a bit of an odd texture. I haven’t used it as a mask or a primer yet. It just feels so lovely to put on, and I love the smell, so I use it as a moisturiser when I feel like an extra bit of moisture, especially in the morning.

Just an ok product
I have oily skin and it doesn’t really moisturizes the face nor does it give any particular glow. It does however make it feel soft and maybe blurs a tiny bit the imperfections. A warning thought to everyone who might try it, do not rub it! You should apply it with patting motions otherwise I find that it crimples.
Overall, it isn’t bad product but not a great either, so considering the price I wouldn’t reccomend it.

Nice smell but does not moisturizer well.. won’t repurchase

It smells nice…but not sure it’s that great as a moisturizer or primer. Just ok, I wouldn’t repurchase or recommend especially for the price.

I do love the fragrance and the texture of this face balm. I’ve only used it as a moisturizer so far and it doesn’t leave a greasy residue.
However I don’t find it very moisturizing at all. I have oily but still sometimes dry skin. After washing my face and applying this, my face still feels tight and dry. I will try using it as a mask but as of right now, I don’t see myself paying another $24 to repurchase.

I originally got this in a sampler set because I wanted to try their Glow Tonic and I used it up and bought a larger size. It’s really an amazing product. It smells lightly of roses, absorbs like a dream while being being very smoothing, softening, and moisturizing, gives skin a kind of glowy but completely non oily appearance, plays well with my sunscreen and foundation. The price point is a little high but the packaging is gorgeous and the size is generous for the high quality. I have not used it as a mask but it really does work amazingly well as a primer and as a moisturizer.

This is a hydrating balm with a definite rose scent that claims to boost radiance. I don‘t know about that last part, I mean my skin doesn’t appear dull to begin with but it also doesn’t look any more radiant when I use this. Layered over the Pixi Rose Caviar Essence this really locks in moisture though and keeps my skin feeling hydrated and plump. That’s a winning combination in my books. The only thing I noticed when I first started to use this balm is that I couldn’t really rub this into my skin as it seemed to pill on me. Then I tried using less product, gently spreading on my skin and pressing it in which seems to work perfectly. Glad to see that less is more given the price of this product is on the high side for drugstore. I have dry skin and this has a somewhat matte finish to it so those with oily skin should not be afraid of this product. Do not be concerned that the matte finish means it isn’t moisturizing, it really does provide a good barrier layer to keep hydration in. I haven’t used it as a mask, only as an overnight moisturizer and it has performed well for me in this regard.

I love this. Makes my skin soft and works for literally anything. Doesn’t break me out, makes my makeup last longer and doesn’t make me more oily. Amazing product.
