   This primer really does hold my makeup down. I believe they are trying to dupe the Smashbox primer with the way the packaging looks, however this product is nothing like the Smashbox primer. It is a runny, white lotion reminiscent of sunscreen. It contains some ‘cones and also talc. If you have dry skin you will likely find this drying. It’s super cheap. I would purchase it again.

   I put the on at 6AM & by 11AM I had to blot. I wore outlast stay luminous fdtn w MAC prep + prime pressed powder. This is pretty normal I wasn’t sweating a lot or anything. I like that this is oil free. It goes on like a lotion & dries down to a powdery finish. This isn’t the worst primer but it’s not #1 for me. I would probably rebuy this “maybe” but I’m making the rounds trying other DS primers. So far tried wnw coverall, Rimmel, PF & all of the ELF primers which there’s a bunch wnw is decent. Rimmel isn’t as good but < $$, PF is on par more $3 more & im not really super happy w any of the elf primers except the one w the sparkles skin tone which can be hard to track down. It reminds me of becca backlit primer. Porefessional is much better & MAC Matte in conjunction w MAC oil control lotion is the best so far but I hate to spend so much money on a product. Becca backlit is different becoz it's not matte it's good thou when you want a more dewy appearance u don't really get shiny so that's good from facial oil same w L'Oréal lumi which is also a dewy type product. I can't remember if I tried Maybelline.ummmm I'm trying to think if I tried any others I don't recall any others I've used BB as primer it isn't as good as primer. I'll use BB as fdtn over primer on days I want lighter coverage I can't be without primer but Secret: put eye primer on ur oiliest areas! It works! UDPP is my.suggestion.

   Love this . Searched high and low throughout ultra and sephora spending ridiculous amounts of money on expensive name brand primers that I hoped would work, none of which actually made my foundation last longer or go on smoother. I usually don’t buy drugstore makeup but read good review and gave it a try and I love it. I have combo/oily skin and it does an amazing job of controlling oil . Went out to the bars the other night and slept at a friends house, woke up and my makeup still looked flawless !

   the primer its good for oily skin but when you applied in dry skin its horrible. Dry my skin and make the foundation look patchy.

   I am always a little leery of drugstore primers because I have never had success with them – Milani, Rimmel, Maybelline – no thanks! I am so happy I picked this Cover Girl one up! I have oily skin and especially this humid time of year – having my makeup hold up is nearly impossible. This primer created such a nice base and smoothed my skin and pores after initially applying. I wore it to work for a few hours and then to a party outside and after several hours my makeup still looked pretty good. Was there still some oil coming through ? Yes , but it wasn’t nearly as much as I normally have.
   I really enjoy this primer and I recommend trying it! The price is a little high for DS at around $9-$10 but compared to high end primers that are $30+, it’s a good value !

   This is not a bad primer at all! I enjoyed using it alone under both powder and liquid foundation, but now I’ve been mixing some MAC strobe cream into it and I love it even more! I can tell that it makes my makeup last almost all day and controls shine.

   I’m using this up to get it out of my collection because I purchased a while ago and I’ve since switched over to cruelty-free brands. So no, I will not be repurchasing.

   I was looking for an affordable primer that worked like Smashbox’s photo finish primers, but this one was terrible. I put it on before my foundation (I have Smashbox Studio Skin for forever ), leaving it on long enough to soak into my skin. I liked the consistency of the primer and it didn’t feel sticky or heavy but it was terrible. It made my foundation patchy almost instantly, resulting in me having to take parts off to reaply. I went out for a few hours and when I got home I saw how bad my makeup looked. I was actually able to almost peel it off my face just by rubbing it.
   This is the worst primer I’ve used, don’t waste your money and time!!!

   I got this in a Target Beauty Box and gave it a try under my makeup for a funeral this summer. I arrived early but the church was already packed and I ended up in the balcony. It was very hot and I was sweating bullets. Then, we were at the gravesite for a while, had lunch at the church, it was still hot. When I finally got to my car and blasted the air, I was surprised to see my makeup was still flawless. I was definitely impressed and have been recommending it to my friends.

   I purchased this with the 3-in-1 foundation of the same company. First, it’s a “lotion” type primer, which i’m normally not a fan of. But i gave it a go and so far i like it.
   It’s primarily a water based primer, with a bit of silica and wax, and just a few “cones”. it comes out white and disappears on my skin, and doesn’t feel thick or slimy (like smashbox).
   OK, i will say this- it does a REALLY good job of hiding pores. At least with my skin… i have large pores, acne scars (no, not just the red type), uneven skin tone and just the faintest fine lines starting under my eyes where they crinkle when i smile. this helps with it all. If i have time, i like to double layer it over my scarring and it does a pretty good job of filling in small icepick scars on my cheeks and softening the “boxcar” style ones. of course, it’s not perfect, but i find that so far, it’s the best one i’ve used. I like it a lot more than Smashbox (which seems to break me out and just sort of slides around my skin), and it’s better than the Rimmel white one (in the blue bottle).
   The first time i put it on, i wasn’t really watching in the mirror, but when i looked up to start applying my foundation, i was honestly shocked at how it smoothed my pores and hid the icepick scars- probably the best i’ve seen so far. i’ve never seen a lotion type primer do this. Other primers have hid the small eye lines better (but this is still good- nothing compares to the NYX poreless one for that though…), but once i put foundation on, you can’t really see them anyway.
   As far as staying power, that is hard to say- i have been using Maybeline Matte + Poreless and it seems to last longer with the primer (i work 9-11 hours days, easily wearing my makeup for 14 hours at a time), but it’s still not perfect (the hunt for foundation continues- i am currently trying it with Revlon CS Whipped).
   I think it’s a bit overpriced for a drugstore brand… and i’m going to continue trying out other primers, just to see what i can find, but so far, of tarte clean slate, smashbox, NYX (and YES, NYX is a total dupe for “Porefessional”- if you like the high-end one, i highly recommend NYX), and Rimmel, this one is the best at smoothing out my skin (i wish i could go without foundation, because this stuff really hides *some* problems areas well). I have a feeling that i will come back to this if i don’t find something that will totally and completely knock my socks off…
