This is another one of the powder compacts I loved and still use because I bought up several before they were discontinued. I won’t buy the new ones in the ugly cases with all different ingredients. I am not a fan of companies throwing out their entire line of products.
Update. My old powders are a bit dry now although they still work. I am going to buy one of their new compacts which has almost the same ingredients and see how it is. I do hate the ugly brown and green cases but maybe their powder is still good.
Update: I tried the new one and it was horrible. Back to the old ones, and the ony existing decent one I found, PF, which costs 3 times as much even on sale!!!

I miss this powder sooooo much! I keep buying this anywhere online I can find it, because it is the best pressed powder I have ever used! I must have gone through 50 compacts in my lifetime, and I curse Covergirl for discontinuing this! Everyone I know had one of these in their purse, so I am not sure why they felt the need to get rid of it, but the now ALSO discontinued “Sensitive” powder was nothing like the original fragrance-free (I hated it). I loved the slim pretty teal colored compact, and how it mattified my shiny t-zone without ever being heavy or cakey. I will keep using this powder as long as I can find it, and hope that CG brings it back… they tend to re-market the same products over and over again under new names, so fingers crossed.

I happened to stumble across this at a thrift shop for $2, so I had to get it. I actually love this. It gives me no coverage, but it mattifies my face perfectly. I’ve read that the green compact style was discontinued, so im happy to have found this one.

I might have the old version of this (green compact) but I used this powder to the very end and I enjoyed it for the purpose of retouching during the day as it was very finely milled. As a setting powder at the beginning of the day it did not last too long though – maybe a few hours.
Was good in terms of not being cakey but not good in long-term performance.

I picked up Clean Fragrance Free Pressed Powder for $2 from a local vintage clothing store. I’m sure you all already know, but this is discontinued & the alternative/replacement is Clean Pressed Powder, Sensitive Skin—it has a sensitive fragrance free formula that helps minimize irritation & redness for those with delicate skin. Though it claims to be fragrance free, there is still a smell to it. It’s not bad, but it is not unscented.
As you would expect, I bought this because I have oily, sensitive skin… all right, & because it was cheap! I carried this around with me on a daily basis. I’ve always had oily skin, but it worsened once I went to college—probably due to stress—& I desperately needed a skin tone, not transparent, powder. I was so excited to see a pressed powder that had shades available for people with dark/black skin, I decided I had to have it. Unfortunately, I have a bad habit of buying powders without swatching in the store to test the colour.
I bought the darkest shade (Soft Sable 275) & to no surprise, it was WAY too dark except for when it’s summertime. I wish I could have gotten Toasted Almond 270, or maybe even Tawny 265. Anyway, because it’s far too dark to wear three-fourths of the year, I have no option but to use it to contour. The few months I could wear it, it was a good powder! Despite it being too dark, it sat naturally on my skin & took the shine away & that’s all I ask of any powder.
If you can SOMEHOW get your hands on the “old” design, I suggest it. The “new” one does not have good reviews. Apparently, the compact itself is cheaply made & does not provide as wide a colour selection. The original shades are gone! I haven’t purchased its replacement & have no intent to.

I’ve been using this powder since high school in creamy natural. I use it to set my foundation or alone on days I’m not wearing as much makeup. It blends well and keeps my skin tone even and shine free. I like the scent. I gave 4 lippies for packaging bc like others have said if you drop it the clasp breaks or the back hinge or even the mirror. It really sucks to drop a new one and then have to deal w the case broken! Otherwise it’s a staple for me.

didnt really like this product..it made me look very ghostly and slightly cakey. it also didnt set my makeup very well or control excess oils. also i think this broke me out even more. overall a bad quality product

Not sure why this product has such a low rating… It’s pretty cheap, good for sensitive skin, provides a fair amount of coverage, and is well packaged. I always look for makeup with medium to full coverage because I suffer from acne scarring, and this seems to do the trick. I use a BB cream, concealer on my trouble areas, and then press this onto my face using the provided powder puff, focusing on the areas where I need more coverage (if you want more coverage you should press, not sweep).
It stays put and keeps me matte for the whole workday; this is an important feature for me because I tend to get oily and with my scarring, my skin looks just horrid if I am not matte. Additionally, my skin is very sensitive and this product has not made me breakout, so I am happy!
If you’re looking for a super long lasting look, just add a spritz of setting spray (I think this rule applies for pretty much any powder, or am I wrong? Is there a miracle powder out there?) I can’t say I can go more than 8 hours without re-powdering, so I took off one lippie, but maybe I am being over critical with that one 😉

I don’t use liquid foundation, only concealer stick on a few spots of my face, so I’m not super picky about powder. I’ve been using this one for the past several years and I’m pleased with it. It’s not heavy at all but if you use too much it can give you a bit of a “dusty” look. It stays for a decent amount of time but needs re-applying after a few hours; I have very oily skin so that’s to be expected.

I usually go for loose powders. But I find that loose powder is NEVER travel friendly. So, I buy separate pressed powder to put on my makeup bag for touch ups. I bought this one the green version (sensitive skin) together with the foundation in the shade Classic Ivory which is a little bit dark for me but it works because my foundation is lighter. I like it dont love it. For some reasons.. 1st its DRYING for my skin even though it says for sensitive skin. 2nd, its cakey if you apply it multiple times a day. 3rd color ranges are just not good. lastly the packaging is unhygienic the sponge just sits at the top of the powder giving this 3 lippies

Great powder that provides a bit of extra coverage over liquid foundation. A big plus is that its fragrance free (I have serious fragrance allergies). It is not cakey, the color 220 is perfect for me, photographs well, its affordable but delivers like a high end product what else to ask for? The packaging is a bit disappointing because the compact tends to open so you have to make sure to push well it to properly close it.

This product is meh at best. it works but it does not last long and i find that 2 hours after use it’s practically vanished from my face. i’m fairly new to makeup and my mom has always liked covergirl so i gave this a try. nope not really impressed with this. its more like a backup thing that i would use it for. Going to try rimmel i think it will be better. i will update to tell you guys how that worked out. xx

I’ve been using this product to set up my foundation for about 10 years. I don’t have 1 complaint. It matches my skin, it does the job.. Keeps my face from looking oil. I may have to touch up and powder my face once in the afternoon, but I expect that from a powder because naturally our skin produces oil. Love the price, love the product.

I really like this powder. I am a big fan of all the Cover Girl pressed powders. The compact is just perfect-easy to use, good size, sturdy, nice soft puff, good mirror, etc. The powder is soft and smooth and does what I want it to do-set my foundation, eliminate shine, etc. A great product, even at twice the price.

I used this pressed powder for about 2 months, ever few days .. I do not like it. I find the color ‘classic ivory’ made me look orange. I used a CG foundation in the same color, but the powder left me looking orange and I had a horrible orange ring around my face.. I tried to blend it out, and it just caked up and looked flakey. It emphasized the dryness on my face and I don’t think it really did that much to preserve my foundation. for the price you pay, i think you get what you pay for.. It’s nothing comparable to high end setting powders, but for people who are just getting in to makeup ,and/or are looking to save money, i think it would a good choice. I just will not use it again .

I have been using this powder to set my foundation and i have just hit pan after having it for a couple of months and it still is so nice ! it does not make my face blotchy or seem powdery. mine is in 125 – buff beige .
it is not drying on my skin. and i love it ! ! !
would totally repurchase this and the packaging is pretty nice and is sturdy , does not cost a lot.

this product I’ve heard about a couple time but for me i found that the color choices are more for people with pinky undertone for i could not find the right match. After several attempts i gave up not because it’s simply worth it. i’d recommend benefits hello flawless pressed powder yes it’s more expensive but in the long run it lasts you longer and has a better result, therefore only having to lightly apply instead of caking on this junk

The colour and finish are decent however it oxidises pretty quickly (like in 2-3 hours) so watch out!

Purchased this because I couldn’t afford my usual product. It does an okay job, but it’s not nearly as long-lasting as the Dream Matte Powder I usually use (which is only a few dollars more). It doesn’t have a whole lot of coverage, but all I really use it for is to set my concealer and mousse foundation on spots and for highlighting effects. It usually lasts a couple of hours, but don’t sweat, cry, etc. while wearing it because it comes off SUPER easy and you’ll have tracks wherever liquid hits it. It goes on light, though, and so far I haven’t seen an increase in blemishes so that’s a plus. Overall the product is good for its price, however I still prefer the Dream Matte Powder instead.
