I was so excited to find a foundation that looked natural and actually covered. I use Zelens Age Control (a perfect color match and looks like skin) but wanted more coverage. After trying several traditional formulas, everything that covered decently looked too caked on. The Sephora SA recommended this one. Looked good in the store. When applied myself the next day, with a foundation brush, not the applicator it comes with, looked totally like foundation and not skin, although coverage was pretty good. Still needed concealer in spots. I only used foundation on certain parts of my face, to cover red skin or brown spots, so this may look better if you use it all over your face. And it made me break out. It’s going back. The color selection seems good, for a range of skin tones. For reference, I used N20 in the Cover FX and Cream in the Zelens.

surprisingly good! i was broke out terribly when i bought this. can’t stand any foundations because it would clog my pores at the moment. i have already planned to made a comparison between this and mac studio fix plus powder foundation. when i went to sephora, they didn’t have mac. so, i bought this in g30. i was pleasantly surprised because even this thing only provide sheer coverage (yes it is) but it looks like my skin but better. it would make your face like you are naturally flawless (like you are born with a good skin). it covers your redness, but it wouldn’t do anything to your acne scars or hyperpigmentation. i always use this after i moisturize my skin with clinique ddmg and cover my broke out scars with MUFE full coverage concealers (you only need just a little dot to cover everything!) the result is like your skin but better! just like you don’t put anything on your face. and i also use stila convertible lip and cheek in the shades peony only if i need more colors in my face (it would give you a healthy flush looking cheeks!). The oil control isn’t impressive (about 3-4 hours before looking oily, not a healthy glow oily but your face looking like a slick). but i don’t mind to re-apply this after 3-4 hours tho, so yeah. The only downside is this gems have a little high price tag (around $48 if you convert this to my currency) and for those price tags, i would demand a better packaging because the package is feel like a little bit fragile and made out of cheap plastic. Overall, i probably would buy this again if mine runs out.

Best foundation ever! This is long lasting and leaves a beautiful finish…all while looking and feeling natural. This product is good for sensitive skin, no break outs or irritations to report. The most crucial part of the test is how it wears on my chin, which is the only part of my face that is super oily. Every other foundation breaks apart after a while and I have to touch it up. I rarely have this problem with cover FX and if I do, it is so minimal…you would only notice if you were super critical and staring closely at your skin an inch away from the mirror. I do wish that it was a little cheaper and a loose powder instead of a pressed one. I find loose powders are much easier to use towards the end…and no scraping the sides of a compact desperately trying to get a bit of product on your brush.

I love the Laura Mercier Mineral Powder, and this is pretty much the exact same product but in a more compact packaging. In terms of quality, they’re both just as amazing as the other. Easy to blend, versatile coverage (I use it as anything from a setting powder to medium-heavy foundation), no mess, no oxidation, great longevity and when it does start to inevitably wear away throughout the day (as with all foundations do on my oily skin), it does so naturally. I don’t often get dry patches, but occasionally I get a few in the winter, and this blends and covers them up reasonably well without bringing attention to any flakiness.
I prefer LM’s over this by a slight margin, probably because it’s a loose powder and I find it just a tad easier to blend. But if I were to be travelling, this is much more convenient for sure. Also, Cover FX has a much wider range in colours, so if you’re hard to match for generic foundations, be sure to check them out!

I got it in the shade N25 which is suitable for my skin tone which is “Light”. The powder gives me a natural look, it is light and comfortable to wear. Despite that, it can be built up to enough coverage whenever I want to. It lasts literally the whole day. It doesn’t give a tacky feeling or makes my face looks oily. It blends perfectly with my skin and gives such natural look.
I would recommend this powder to those who want medium coverage that they can build up. And even though you wear foundation underneath (I use IT Cosmetics’ CC cream) it will not make you face appear cakey.
The packaging is a simple, old school design. I paid for THB 1,650 at Sephora Bangkok (which converts to around USD 49) which is pricey, considering the package and the amount it gives you. However, the quality is excellent as I mentioned above, so it is a good trade off.

I love this and plan to purchase it I tried it out for a couple of days in the color G40+ my only gripe is Sephora does not carry in stores the G+ shade range and it took some time for me to figure out my coloring since I had to order online and test them out. G40 was a bit to light especially on my forehead, and G50 was a tad dark. I can get away with it but doesn’t complement my skin the way G40+ does. It last and I like that its a mineral powder in a compact because it makes for touch up’s easy. Where as my bare mineral’s it’s hard to carry that with you and touch up your face. I can wear this alone buffed out or wet (I usually don’t wet the compact powder itself) or as a dry powder over my foundation if you wanted much heavier coverage, I wore this with a loose face Powder lightly brushed over my face all day walking around sightseeing in Austin, Texas on a hot summer day and it looked nice all day into the night.

I tried this powder with high hopes because I found out that the company does not test on animals which is something I look for in my cosmetic products but like others have said it has a very damaging side effect which ruins any positive aspects it may have: It breaks you out!
Pros I found were that it did have decent coverage and I liked how even your skin appeared at first. It also lasts long enough imo to last a day. Oh and the colour match for my skin was very close.
However, the cons outweigh the pros by a mile when I realized that
1) it cakes and looks chaulky after an hour or so
2) it sort of sits atop your skin instead of meshing with the oils naturally
3) As I mentioned above, the biggest problem is that it will and does break you out. Or at least it did me. I am just finally getting my skin back to normal after not using this product for 3 days. I do have sensitive skin but I have used other powders that did not produce the disaster that this one did.
Unfortunately, I will never repurchase and they have scared me away from using other products of theirs considering I don’t know how my skin will react to the way they manufacture.

G+50 is a beautiful neutral olive shade for those who are NC37-40 depth. It’s still a little bit golden on my very muted cool yellow skin, but it’s far more workable than most other foundations I’ve tried. I was initially really frustrated with this powder because I’d get like 0 coverage, and it was impossible to build. Applying concealer underneath on spots I want to be covered better works well under the powder, but then I’d notice certain areas looked more “covered” than others because of the concealer, and the lack of coverage on other areas, plus I would get oily very quickly and foundation would just disappear — even when set with setting powder.
I figured out a solution to this horrid product. Wet brush. I know the product suggests using a wet sponge (which I haven’t so maybe that’s better, but a regular sponge did nothing), but wetting my brush a little essentially made this a medium buildable foundation that flawlessly blends my concealer, hyperpigmented areas with the rest of my face. Set with some powder on top, it lasts a good while and stays in place! It still weirdly moves around my nose, but that’s not difficult to touch up. It does end up looking cakey by the end of the day, and if you’re not careful with how wet your brush is, it can apply horribly. I’ve used this powder for only a week and I’ve already hit pan, that’s how much I have to use to get any coverage.

I love this product. It’s my favorite (and only one I will use, really) powder foundation. Spreads very well and coverage is great and easy to build and customize. Stays on pretty long although you will have to retouch a couple of times throughout the day. However it is very pigmented so a little goes a long way. Doesn’t look cakey or dry, even if I for some reason forget to moisturize. I would recommend this to anyone.

I got this in G20 which is the perfect shade for me (very pale olive-yellow undertones). I was hyped to find the ingredients on the Cover FX website looked good and would not likely give me acne. I was so wrong. I ended up returning this after half my face broke out in painful acne, as I must have gotten an older compact. Three Shoppers I visited did not have my shade in the new formula, so I have given up on this for now. Mine had ethylhexyl palmitate in it as the 2nd ingredient despite the Cover FX website stating it did not. Had this worked for me, I would have really enjoyed it. Coverage was medium, buildable and looked natural and not cakey when applied with a brush.
Apparently the formula changed 2 years ago, and given that the compact has a 2 year expiry, I’d bet I bought expired product, or maybe they are still selling old product to get rid of it. I had hoped to exchange it for the newer version, but sadly had to just get a refund.
Having said that, I will use and will continue to use their concealer, but I suggest if you are acne prone to really look at the ingredients to make sure you are getting one of the new formulations.
