This is the compact version of the loose powder some folks have reviewed on here. This is not a foundation per se, as it doesn`t add any coverage: I use it more as a setting powder (because it works TONS better than that crap Laura Mercier is peddling and retails just at 1700 JPY or about 16 USD) and for touch-ups during the day. It works fairly well to control oil and it doesn`t leave a white cast or mess your skin hue in any way. It doesn`t cake on me: I apply it with a brush and rarely use a sponge, but even when I use a sponge it doesn`t appear heavy. I like the peachy smell, but if you are ambivalent about fragrances, give it a good whiff before purchasing. It hasn`t irritated or broken me out. As for the pore minimizing claims, it`s pretty average, but overall it`s a nice little powder for its price point. My only complaint is the lack of sun protection, which is why it doesn`t get a perfect 5.
