This powder foundation is a first for me because in the past, powder foundations have caused either a rash or a breakout.
The color, Creme, in this formulation is a bit yellow (I am NW10 when it used to be available). I am keeping it and treating it with care because it has healed, yes healed my cystic acne. It has also healed my Rosacea.
I use it over the liquid foundation (healthy skin formula) in Creme, which is a perfect match. (Trying for a match and non-irritating for 10 years.
This is worth it’s weight in gold to me!
It is drying, which is pretty much what the Derm recommended (oil-free)

In search for a healthier makeup line I turned to 100 percent pure. One of the first things I bought from them was their foundation powder and fruit pigmented liquid foundation. I am very light skinned and found the white peach color the most suitable for my skin type. It is a bit chalky on my face I wish they offered a shade in between white peach and peach bisque-I bought both hoping I could mix them but it doesn’t help. So for everyday activities walking outside running errands the white peach feels like a better alternative powder than most conventional makeup lines. It does feel a tad bit drying and does not offer as much coverage as when I have used other heavier coverage powder foundations like shimmied or body shops. It doesn’t break me out, so thats a plus! Overall until I find a better natural makeup line I would keep using their powder.

The updated packaging is a tin container with a floral pattern on the lid. I have this in the creme, which is a just a shade too dark for my porcelain skin tone. At first, I was not impressed with this product. Directions on the website say to apply this with a kabuki brush but that gave my skin a cakey look. Using the Real Techniques stippling brush makes this powder apply better but this gives sheer coverage only. The website claims that it will provide medium coverage and that it is matte. It is not matte coverage as it contains mica which only highlights my pores and wrinkles. By the end of the day, I am a swirl of mica shimmer and wrinkles for all to see. Not pleased. The matching concealer is a disaster also.

Love this powder foundation!
I am not a heavy make up user so prefer the more natural look. I only use plant based products as I am vegan.
I had become accustomed to using mineral foundation (Antipodes) but when I learned about the all natural fruit ingredients in this product, I had to try it.
Gives me just the right amount of coverage (you can build it up too), feels like I have nothing on, lasts all day and does not irritate my skin.

Kind of pricey but this is such a good for you product, I will pay it for the R&D it takes to support small companies with such a sound take on cosmetics. I love the new packaging – has a retro yet modern look. I’ve put up pics of my little silver compact (in Toffee), so pretty and even has a mirror on the back of the lid. I contmeplated giving it only 4 lippies because it doesn’t feel like a life-changing holy grail product, though I suppose that it is so natural and still performs so highly both in looks and function makes it a full 5!
As for the product, it definitely is a cut above many many natural cosmetics I have tried. I am close to 50 and have sensitive eczema prone skin. I previously only used MAC pressed foundation (NC35) but am trying to find products that are less processed and cruelty-free. I believe MAC recently was purchased by Estee Lauder which does animal testing, so don’t know what will change there. In any case, I believe in making choices that work for each person.
It provides a light coverage, which I prefer, and I generally use it over a moisturized, sunscreened faced. I think it would be good over a foundation as well as it’s not too heavy. I would say add that like many ‘dry’ formulations, it benefits from a light mist of water afterwards to set the loose particles and cancel out the tight feeling you can get right after application. The color matching is very good for a range of light to medium skin tones (but not for darker skin, unfortunately), seemingly matching the porcelain, pink and golden tones nicely. It wears well on dry/normal skin, it seems with no color change during the day but can’t say what experience oilier skin will have.

Worth mentioning, they have changed the packaging as of recent, to a beautiful little silver tin with flowers. Very cute in my bag.
On to the product. I think this is better used as a powder with your foundation/serum/tinted moisturizer than powder foundation alone. I’m using their new Water Foundation, which in my opinion is more like a tinted serum (and it’s freaking awesome) and so this powder sets it nicely and I keep the compact in my handbag for touchups.
It doesn’t look cakey at all, very natural, very light and most importantly it’s chock full of ingredients that are healthier for my skin. Yes, I do like powders by Tarte and Benefit, but recently I’ve been changing out those for more animal-friendly and skin conscious lines like Josie Maran and 100% Pure. They don’t cause me to breakout or fear what I’m putting on my skin.

This powder is fairly decent in terms of finishing off my complexion. Unfortunately, it does not mattify as well as Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Powder Foundation. The color (fair) is good, but the powder itself is a bit too powdery and I tend to see a lot of powder dust when I use this product. This product is less pressed (held together by oil) than others of its kind. This is a decent powder, but I still prefer Tarte’s.

I am definitely not a foundation powder person always wrong shade not able to blend colours properly and my main problem they always cake whatever I do and I have been using foundations regularly for more than 10 years now though not an expert in my own makeup but this powder is amazing I shifted to health friendly products about a year ago for moral reasons then I found how they can make difference regarding breakouts and my all over complexion any way the packaging is secure and can be convenient to carry in your bag or while travelling the powder itself is easy to disperse so you have to be careful but it didn’t break easily I’m nc 20 but peach arabesque was very convenient it has a sheer to medium cover I use it alone or on top of liquid foundation it doesn’t cake or cause breakouts even when I sleep with it

Finally a powder that does not cause breakouts! Although this foundation does not provide full coverage, it does even out my overall skin tone with a natural finish. I use Tarte’s maracuja creaseless concealer to cover old acne scars and finish with this powder. This is the first time in years that I do not feel the need for a full coverage foundation. My skin has cleared up dramatically with the usage of 100% pure skincare and powder. With minimal breakouts, I am now using less makeup. I think this is definitely worth a try if you are prone to breakouts.

I thought this was wonderful… Until a week later when I dropped the thing onto a carpeted floor and it broke into pieces. Then I purchased another one and half of it for some reason ended up becoming wet somehow and caked and is no longer useable. I have no idea how or why as I was using a brush? The powder itself does not provide a very strong finish if you have Rosacea or acne so I would recommend it if you like to waste money and have perfect skin. Hah
