This color is a really pretty coral/peach/pink. Formula is good and it lasted the normal amount of time on me. It goes on a little streaky and thin at first but It settles nicely. Only thing I hate about these are the dumb packaging…

I have heard a lot about Butter london nail polishes, Through youtube, and multiple blogs sites. So i decided to try it for myself.
Overall: I’m not impressed, its very hyped up, and doesn’t even perform as well as some drug store brands, which just makes it not worth it for the $12 it costs per bottle.
I applied a base, then the color, first coat went on very thin and streaky. Second coat was a bit more opaque but still left some odd lines on my nail, so i went for a third coat. At the third coat it was to my liking, so i applied a nice top coat and let dry.
Didn’t dry very quickly but better than some. Had a slightly rubbery feeling to it.
How it wore: First day, nice and shiny, chip free.
Second day, Slight chipping, which really dissapointed me as i’m not very tough on my nails at all. But the chipping stayed at the ends, and it was still nice and shiny.
Third day, The polish chipped more, And started peeling in places. Color started to dull out and was no longer as shiny as i would like.
Fourth day i ended up removing the polish, the peeling and chipping were just too much. and there were many dents in the polish.
I don’t think I will be re-purchasing any of these polishes. And i’ll probably gift the ones I purchased to a friend or family member.

In the bottle, Trout Pout looks so beautiful. I’ve been looking for the right pinky orange salmon color for spring/summer for a while, so I was excited to find this. I LOVE the color, but the formula isn’t so good, unfortunately. It’s rather dull, somewhat streaky, and goopy around the cuticles. When a nail polish costs $15, I expect a superior formula. If the price was under $5, Id give it a higher rating. (Also, if I had the time, Id experiment with different base coats/top coats in order to make the finish look better because the color is worth it! )

I must’ve gotten lucky compared to the other reviewers here, because I LOVE the formula on this polish! I’m by no means an expert at applying polish, in fact I use a teeny cup of pure acetone and a small e.l.f. brush to clean up my cuticle line as I’m applying any of my polishes which gives me a manicure that looks like a professional did it. I found this formula nearly perfect, and it went on beautifully in two coats. I used China Glaze base coat and Out the Door top coat. Have had it on for two days so far with no chipping, although I haven’t washed dishes with it yet lol. The color is absolutely gorgeous and I can definitely see this becoming a staple for me this summer. It already looks great on my slightly olive toned but pale skin…once I start tanning for the summer I know it will look even better.
This is my first Butter London purchase and it definitely won’t be my last! This only thing I don’t like about it is the cheap brush it comes with…I feel for $14 they should be including a much nicer brush!

I just painted my nails tonight with tout pout so I don’t know how it will last but my first turn off was the brush…. like the brushes you get with cheap polish. I also thought it was quite thick also and gloppy. Still like OPI better. I would not buy again too expensive for the stupid brush it comes with!

I like the colour – I find this is brighter and a tad pinker than SH Coral Reef… it’s pretty close to SC Island Coral but this formula is surprisingly better. The formula isn’t the greatest – I did 2 almost 3 coats to get an even coverage. I wouldn’t repurchase because I have colours similar to this.

I dislike the two Butter London polishes I own. I have the same beef I have with Essie. I find the formulation streaky which isn’t helped by the cheep thin brush. I pulled the coral’s from my collection and here are the closest dupes:
– Sally Hanson Xtreme Wear’s Coral Reef : a little more pink, amazing brush/formulation
– Julep’s Sasha : smidgen darker (price, formulation & brush the same)
– Loreal’s Orange You Jealous? : DUPE! Love the formulation, brush and price!
– Coastal Scents’ Carnation : a tad darker, close to dupe! Formulation sub par

While there are some slight issues with the formula, I adore this color so much that it’s worth the trouble (and the 3-free formula and original name help, too). Trout Pout is a very bright pink-based coral creme that’s ideal for warm weather wear but I think I’ll be using it year round. As for the formula, it takes two coats to become completely opaque; the first coat is a bit streaky, but the second coat smoothes any issues out. I found this polish rather thick, so even with a quick-drying top coat I allowed for 10-15 minutes extra drying time. A bit of a hassle, yes, but such a gorgeous shade for my medium/tan olive skin that I’ll happily repeat the process.

The striking bright coral/neon pink is such a gorgeous shade! I love this, it’s really flattering and dries quickly and because it is fairly thick, I don’t need to spend ages getting it right and repeating The formulation is quite creamy, and I apply one coat over a clear base and it’s enough. Slightly streaky if I’m looking closely, and a second coat would put that right, but I prefer a light coating of polish (paranoid about looking like I’ve done my nails with Tippex and a highlighter pen!)
I adore it, and can’t visit Boots now without staring at all the gorgeous bright colours on the Butter counter, wondering which to get next. At £12.00 per bottle though, I’ll take my time choosing 🙂

Beautiful spring/ summer color, you need 3 coats of it to get the color in the bottle, very similar to Sally Hansen coral reef if you dont wanna spend money on a nail polish
