These are so cute on the packaging, and they look cute on, but they will not stay. Maybe it’s my own fault; I didn’t read the instructions on the package before buying, and it says when you want to remove, just soak in warm water for one minute and peel off. Anything that can come off with just soaking in water is not going to work for me.
Well, I put them on easily and it didn’t take long. I put two coats of Sally Hansen Miracle Gel topcoat on and thought maybe that would make them last longer. However, as soon as I washed my hands, one peeled off. I put another one on to replace it, but the next time I washed my hands, a different one peeled off. I ended up peeling all of them off, and they came off incredibly easy. Maybe these are just designed to be worn on a night out just for that night, but there’s no way they can last if all you have to do to remove them is soak in warm water for one minute, which is essentially washing your hands. I will not be repurchasing.

My overall impression of this product is somewhat satisfied. What I liked about it was the design – it’s unique but not tacky. I also liked the overall feel of the product, I was afraid that it would feel like a sticker but it actually is very similar to nail polish after it’s applied to the nail. I’m very particular about my nails, so painting them is always a hassle because any imperfection drives me insane, I loved the clean finish with the no dry time of this product. What I didn’t like about this product is that it is advertised to last up to ten days which I cannot see being possible considering that mine had chipped a bit within 24hrs and by day 4 they had to be removed. Also, they were time consuming to apply perfectly, considering any edge that is not completely flattened will catch on something rip. I probably would purchase this product again simply for the designs, but only on special occasions because there’s no way that the time applying them is worth how long they last for everyday use.

These stick on nail polish strips have quickly gained HG status with me. I only tried this one, and the pink glittery one, which I do like more because I feel it has a better texture, it’s thinner and sticks better. Oh, and lasts longer.
I like that they come with 2 sets in the package, and I usually use one set for both hands. One strip is long enough to do both fingers of opposite hands, if you have short-medium length nails. One “do” lasts me a week, so I can get away with only 2 kits per month.
My nails are ugly after a few months of Shellac back to back (yes, Shellac does ruin nails!), they have ridges and white spots and look dry, so no amount of regular polish could mask that. No matter what nail polish I used, it would end up looking streaky and uneven. These strips solved my problem, nobody can tell how bad my nails really look underneath.
Plus, they are more fun to apply, as I’m not crazy about applying nail polish.
They fit my nails pretty well, I don’t have to do much trimming, if any. And they do last for a whole week, they may rub off a tiny bit at the tips but nothing obvious.
The reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because the quality isn’t consistent. The first set I used was great, all strips were sticky and applied easily. The second set from the same package left lots to be desired, 2 strips had no glue at all, so they couldn’t be used, a third broke while I was trying to gently peel it off. I was not impressed. It wouldn’t hurt if quality control did a better job, because it’s an otherwise great product.
It is costly, the cheapest I found was Walmart at around $9, but other places sell it for $12, which is insane.
I will continue to use these, they really save the appearance of my nails and they are fun to use.

This is the second pattern I have tried, and it seems more delicate than the first (B&W houndstooth). It actually has a sort of texture, which means if you push hard with the orange stick provided you risk catching it on a raised part and tearing a hole in the strip. Also, I had to peel very very carefully when removing the backing to avoid having it split at the edge, the way cheap masking tape does. I have found that using the orange stick to press the strip from right past your nail tip toward the underside of your nail will gently trim it while sealing the edge. It works better than the light pink file IMO.
I like these overall – they do last a week at least, and I think they are worth it, but I won’t get this pattern again. The package instructions don’t have great pictures – the second peel-off step starts by lifting the silver tab.

I followed the instructions to a T, but I felt there was too much time spent on putting them on. I spent a good 20-30 minutes just making sure that I rubbed the strips on, and filed them carefully off so that it would leave a clean finish. I could have finished painting 2 coats of regular nail polish on by the time it took me to finish putting on the strips. So there is a trade-off, time vs. intricate design.
The design itself is quite lovely, it doesn’t look very sticker-y and after putting on two coats of clear nail polish, I thought I was good.
However, it already chipped within the same day (hour) I put it on. I missed a small spot when pressing it on my nails, and it totally just ripped off taking a huge chunk out of it since it’s one uniform strip. IF you are reading this before wearing it, make SURE you rub everything on until it is firmly attached, and when filing off the excess, don’t allow the strip to wrinkle and detach from your nail. This is a technique I haven’t mastered, apparently.
I don’t really recommend this. For $8.99 CAD, and only one use, I don’t think it’s longevity or ease of use is worth the price we pay for the designs they provide.

Purchased this product online in a double pack which was way cheaper than the store. First time using the first pack took some practice. Second pack was much easier. Like it since there is no drying time. Something different. Just make sure to follow all instructions on the package. If not then will end up wasting the product. By making mistakes.

I’ve read mixed reviews about the product lines, but I don’t entirely get the problem as to why they don’t stick.
I actually used these on my toenails instead of on my fingernails. I did as instructed otherwise, and I made sure to run some nail polish remover on my toenails to clean them up.
I put them on, pressed them down with the cuticle stick, as instructed. I gently pressed it with my fingers to ensure that it was stuck on and smoothed out. Once I finished, I put a couple of thin topcoats of clear nail polish on top.
I have gotten nearly three weeks of continuous use, and I’ve had no trouble since. I did reapply another coat of clear nail polish onto it about a week ago, but that was to make my nails shinier.
Otherwise, these are great!
If you use them for your toenails, you will get at least two applications worth in one package, so long as you split some of the nail polish strips on your toes. I ended up using half a strip per nail, so I didn’t waste the excess when it just as easily went to another nail.
Your results, of course, may vary depending on what pattern of these polish strips you choose…

I almost never paint my nails or get manicures. I have a mental hang-up about chips (as soon as one nail chips, I have to take all the polish off immediately) so I thought I would give the salon effects a try, because they are supposed to last longer than liquid nail polish.
I liked the salon effects, in that they looked cool, had a nice sheen to them (looked like nail polish, not stickers) and nail polish remover took them off easily (no special removers or tools needed).
However, I would not use them again. They took about a half an hour to put on, in which time I could have painted my nails and let them dry, twice. They didn’t quite line up on my nails (which are admittedly very small) right, so there were some funny spaces. And one of them chipped on day three, when they are advertised as lasting 10 days (I realize that is probably a stretch in marketing, but only three days?), so I took them off.
Overall, I just didn’t think they were worth the time, effort, or price. Perhaps if they truly lasted a week+ they would be. You’re better off with a good polish, in my opinion.

I tried the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips in “Laced Up”. The product line has good reviews from other users. I followed the instructions but could not get them to stick properly. The pattern is beautiful but since they didn’t stay on, it was a waste of money.

Love this, lasts forever on like the other Salon Effects that I have tried. Once you get the hang of it, these are easy, but some girls I have given these too just cant get the hang of application. For me, however it’s a breeze.
I love that Laced Up is almost like a neutral nail, but sexxed up. One of the best (and least tacky) patterns in the Salon Effects range. That being said, I wish they would do more normal-polish colors, not just tacky patterns and neons. Hear that, Sally? I want some classy purples, blues, and grays, please! Also, lower the price $3. Thanks!
