My fingernails are almost always shorter than yours, guaranteed, so I can’t properly paint the edge of my nail as one is supposed to. Consequently I get tip wear with almost everything, including this, but I don’t get chips, and in my book chips are worse than edge wear, especially with a deep red color like this. I’m on day four and it looks decent.
Speaking of this color: gorgeous, gorgeous deep blood red with a few drops of prune. It is so, so sophisticated. It certainly isn’t a bright red like the pic. It is dead pigmented one, no jelly or crelly here. I have to say that my attention was draw to it by the reviewer(s?) who said that it was a vintage 1945 color. I can believe it and I love it. More, Revlon, MOAR!

I bought this polish because it was made in 1945 and I’m not disappointed. A great blood red with high shine and no sparkles or shimmer and I use it both on hands and toes. It looks fantastic on my pale but neutral skin. Reminds me of the polish Mia Wallace wore in Pulp Fiction!

I rarely give 5 lippies to anything, but this nail polish is a sure winner in the lipstick quintet category! As somebody with short, rounded nails, who isn’t into anything too flashy, I adore this polish with particular gusto because of its shine, performance and durability. It seems to last forever on the nail. I’ve used a variety of base- and topcoat combos and even when the topcoat isn’t the best – but is literally just the only one I happen to have on hand – it doesn’t seem to make the slightest difference because the stuff sticks to your tips like glue. It applies super smoothly, is opaque in two coats, and has such a high shine that it looks like a pro job (and that’s coming from someone who is always crap at DIYmanis). The colour is also a real goodie. Revlon invented this one in 1945 and apparently it hasn’t changed since. It looks very vintage without being old-fashioned – not vampy, not bright, not dull: just really, really classy. I wear it for work and everyday and it’s equally suited to both! Not only that, but it works great year-round as an HG polish for me. I love this shade!

This polish was originally created in 1945 by Revlon. I’m not sure if the color has been consistent since then, but this is certainly a beautiful blood-red nail polish.
I was searching for a dark, film-noir red nail polish– the kind that one can imagine Lauren Bacall or Barbara Stanwyck wearing– and this polish fits the bill.

The most beautiful red nail polish I have ever had the pleasure of wearing. This does not look at all like the first picture here. It is not a bright red, but a very deep, dark, vampy, old Hollywood red. It looks divine on my pale with yellow undertones skin.

I just recently became a nail polisher (thank you, Revlon Gel Base Coat) and have been buying bottles left and right! I am crazy about Raven Red! First, the picture on here is misleading, as the color is a dark red with brown(?) undertones. I am probably an NC15 and the color looks amazing on me. I get soo many compliments when I wear this color. A rich, vampy shade, that looks great with 2 coats. With the great basecoat, I can go about 8 days before needing to redo! I love Revlon’s formula and brush- the brush is thin and is easy to work with. So far, I am not a fan of OPI and Essie is just “alright” to me. But Revlon is not disappointing at all! Every single time I try a new color, I want to go back to Raven Red, but I’m branching out, lol. Definitely my go-to color and probably will be my “signature” polish! LOVE!!!

I love Raven Red. The color itself might not be the prettiest, but it surely looks very, very classy, sophisticated and it is very flattering on my fair skin (I’m NC10/15, depending on the time of the year).
It looks darker after two coats than it does in the bottle and I definitely don’t think it’s a nice shade for a pedicure, but it looks awsome on my tips. It’s a vampy color, very old Hollywood glamour. Would be the perfect shade for a half moon mani.
Application is ok, but it’s definitely easier if you don’t try to apply very thin layers. Drying time is good and it looks very shiny even after it’s dry.

WOW. Seriously impressed with this color! It is a gorgeous, deep, creamy red with amazing color payoff. The formula dries fast too! It’s such a beautiful and classy color. Not too bright not too dark. Definitely will repurchase.

This is the perfect fall burgandy red.
I am a blue eyed NW10 (NW20 when tanning from a bottle in the summer). I have received many compliments wearing this color, both on my hands, and the same color in my sweaters. It reminds me of sophistication, of fine wine and leather. This color is also long lasting, and has chipped significantly less than my other new favorite Revlon color, Cherries in the Snow. I’ve had two coats on (without a top coat) and I only have 1 tiny chip after 6 days.

The color is really nice. It has a long staying power too, I don’t know why these ladies are complaining but maybe it varies on everyone. I’ve had this on my toes for over 2 weeks now (on my fingers as of now!) and I haven’t had ANY chipping so far. Will buy again 🙂
