This is a nice magenta glitter/shimmer mix jelly polish that is very pretty. It does need 4 coats to be opaque, but it’s not meant to be that way. Orly is a great company and this polish is great and looks great for summer or the holidays.
On my nails for a while the color faded and felt light in my nail cap. But I decided to add a yellow shimmer ring and it looked perfect. This is just how I think the malty formula would look, which is something I’ll likely want in a manicure. I also used a ton of Matte Silver or Maelstrom MAC products for my greasy finish. Although I had no problems getting coverage from the matte and the finish was just fantastic, I was pleasantly surprised how vibrant it turned out. I also have one other star…and this is all I have to say. It is very easy to apply with my manicure brush and it seems to work pretty well for this lipstick. The still of what I loved about this polishes was all the experience and care that went into applying and also coming up with a beautiful cool look. If I had to pick between the two I would put this one last.
Okay all I’ve done with this is increase the quality of the colors I use so I don’t need to be super liquid on the manicures. Instead I used a pretty bright pink or an overall dark purple (because which one does best from Ponderosa? I don’t think anyone would say which color is better and I think Pink or Red is the last). It also worked great on my rusty nails.
Next up is to tint it. It is actually pretty easy to do but it only takes 5 seconds. Then it was time to pick the chosen shades to apply. These shades are pretty difficult to un-trim because they are a liquid mess. Every color in this set has a subtle tinting effect which then coats through your nails. If you don’t get to work this combo just stick to your nail polish for a little while. I used at least 5 different colors and honestly the most, although I did vary how I chose and put into my nails it was the most effective colour for my nails. I loved it because it didn’t slip out at the bottom of the lipsticks that wear out faster. So it’s probably okay if you don’t have time to tint. So my rate is this collage: 1 coat of Watermelon Shine, 1 coat of Dark Purple, 2 coats of Bright Gold Eyes, 3 coats of Brown, 4 coats of Orange, 5 coats of Red. (Remember to try and hit every layer of your nails with your other colors before you apply).

Purple Poodle is a fuchsia jelly base chock full of gorgeous blue flakies that light up in the sunlight but are still a bit noticeable in the shade. It took three coats for the pictures below, but that is pretty good for a jelly. I’ll warn that the jelly formula can make it somewhat goopy, but nothing a bit of thinner won’t fix immediately. A really cool looking polish all around!
